I absolutely love this restaurant, it has some of the best empanadas that I've ever had. I got 4 different empanadas. I got the lamb, steak, spinach, and caprese. The lamb was the best empanada out of the 4. It was a cross between Latin and Indian food. It almost tasted like a curry. I would seriously rate this empanada a 6 out of 5 if I could. Next best was the caprese and you could taste the basil, cheese and sauce and it blended perfectly. The steak and jalapeño was the perfect amount of spicy and savory. My least favorite but still really good was the spinach. The inside of the restaurant was simple and just had a couple handful of tables. Nothing special, but none of that even mattered because the food was perfect. The service was amazing and the lady helped break down all the different choices and told us which were her favorites. I will for sure be back.

I first met Orejano at Taste of La Receta and instantly fell for their empanadas. Like... deleted-my-Hinge-profile hard. Who needs love when you've got steak jalapeño empanadas? Opened this June, Orejano brings Uruguayan roots and global flavors right to Havana Street. Marcelo and his crew are serving up handmade empanadas, loaded chivitos, crispy milanesas, and an atmosphere that feels like home. We tried the steak jalapeño, lamb with curry, chorizo, spinach with ricotta, ham & cheese, and blue cheese with caramelized onions. Every single one was a hit, but the lamb was especially unique, and the steak jalapeño had just the right kick. The empanada shell itself is perfection -- crisp yet tender, and it holds all those flavorful fillings beautifully. Beyond empanadas, we loved the Milanesa de Carne Napolitana (breaded steak layered with ham, cheese, and fried egg), the Chivito Orejano (a grilled steak sandwich stacked sky-high), and the desserts. The flan was classic and comforting, but the standout was the chajá cake (made by Sabor Arte Bakery and Selené Arte). Peaches, dulce de leche, meringue, cream -- dangerously good. This is one of those places you immediately want to bring friends back to. If you're on Havana Street, skip your other plans and head straight here.

Tucked in to a fading-away strip mall is this absolute jewel of a restaurant! It's cute -- very clean & bright. The very welcoming staff greeted us as we walked in the door. The selections of empanadas and sandwiches took some time to decide -- lots sounded good. Ultimately I had the caprese empanada & husband had Milanese de Carne sandwich. Both were yummy! We left very satisfied. I can see myself pre-ordering empanadas & sandwiches in the future to take to friends & family. Yay!!!

This place is brand new and I tried their empanadas which were good but different from any other empanadas. The place was clean and neat. The cashier was very friendly and the whole experience was unique.

The food is delicious, you can feel the taste that it is 100% fresh... plus excellent friendly service. I didn't have to wait long to receive my order either... definitely a recommended place to eat! I would eat at Orejano again as many times as I could.

This place is fantastic. The food was perfect and the owner, Marcelo, is very friendly. The restaurant just opened about a week ago and I highly encourage you to check this place out if you're in the area. There is a large variety of empanadas to try, as well as other dishes like the Chivito Uruguayo sandwich which I highly recommend for the meat quality. There are also plenty of desserts and drinks, so you won't run out of things to try here quickly or in just a couple of visits. There are 2 new TVs for watching sports, a nice back patio with string lights and umbrellas if the weather isn't too hot, and parking in the lot is super easy. A great new restaurant in the area, highly recommended!

The chivito sandwich was delicious and brought me back to my third home, Montevideo, Urg. The empanadas were also delicious. The postre chaja was amazing. The owners are very friendly!

Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. I won't go into details, but our server disappeared for long stretches and it took a long time to finally get our entrees. This was likely because of our specific server.

I stopped by this place after I saw it recently opened, and to my surprise it was packed! Almost everyone dining in the restaurant (with a small little strip mall dining room) seemed to be thoroughly enjoying everything. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit down or order at the counter and nobody spoke any English, not even any of the customers so my broken Spanish and Google Translate helped me! Everything I ate was delicious. But simple. Extremely simple. Nothing fancy just good flavors & humble dishes. I really enjoyed the food, but I will say the ordering experience is a little challenging. I told my friend who is from Columbia about it and she has been back three times in the last couple of weeks. She says it reminds her of home and she loves it so much! And for me... That's a glowing review in and of itself! Definitely looking forward to going back and checking out their dinner menu. Supposedly they have a killer hamburger that I need to try. !
