Went here for a happy hour with the women of wash Park, and was quite honestly impressed! Everything was delicious from the queso to the taco of the day, everything was so tasty and rich. I did not intend on liking this such and will return pronto!!!

    Brunch - Bistec y Huevos

Amazing amazing amazing brunch!! I need to come back for dinner and try the tacos. The Bistec y Huevos was only $16 and it could've been 3 meals. You can choose how your eggs are cooked (I chose fried) and the steak almost tasted like a filet. Not to mention the crispy smashed potatoes!! The atmosphere is what initially caught my attention. They have a cute patio if you want to sit with fresh air. The inside is very cool decor (and I think they do dancing at night?). Overall, neighborhood must try!

    Tacos: birria and carnitas

Service was quick and friendly- the food came out really fast! Margaritas were strong. The manager even stopped by to check how everything was. The birria tacos were a favorite! Live music was a fun touch too.

Three tacos dorado lunch special for $10.

$10 for three flautas smothered in cheese with guacamole, black beans, rice, an excellent (but HOT) salsa and a soda with great table service from Taylor on a gorgeous patio facing Old South Pearl. For reference this cost $4 less than a regular combo at a freaky sandwich chain. Less than $11 with tax. What a deal!

Que Bueno Suerte exceeded my expectations in many ways. I went for a Tamalada class which includes two drinks and a plate of tamales. Do not sleep on this place if you haven't been. Their vegetarian tamale with their sage cream sauce was out of this world delicious! For the class we had a regular margarita and a paloma type of drink. They were both so good! The paloma had aperol in it which was a different yet wonderful take on a paloma. I could've had a few more of those if we had stayed longer. They have a lot of space too so I think it would be nice for bigger groups too. It has a fun atmosphere too. Once they opened after the class the energy really picked up! The service was also wonderful. Everyone was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of!

I decided to go to the farmers market on Sunday morning and got hungry. I looked up the yelp reviews for this place and it was pretty good so I decided to stop in. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and I should've eaten outside, but I decided to stay at the bar. I don't drink alcohol, but this was just the fastes place to sit. The restaurant is nicely decorated. I like the ingenuity of using white long light bulbs with colored neon stream lighting. The bartender Franco was super nice and gave me great service. He recommended the bistec dish and it was very tasty. The bistec was moist and done just right. It came with baked potato slices which was probably my favorite because it still had the skin and was a little crispy on the outside while baked right on the inside. It also came with your choice of eggs, guacamole, lettuce and tomato/sweet pepper mix. Priced just right for a good hearty lunch

Definitely not the best; definitely not the most authentic. Hold on hold on...I definitely have more to say here! What I couldn't ignore about this restaurant were its great location (Washington Park), its s ambitious and its service. After a nice walk in Washington Park with friends, we cane here to get some late night snacks. I didn't want to eat a large meal so I went with a few sides: a bowl of black refried beans and a plate of guacamole. Both of them were good portions. They tasted good; absolutely no complaints there. Our waiter was nice/friendly. I appreciated his professionalism. What I was most impressed with was the ambiance. To some people, the interior design/decorations might be a bit too grandiose. To me, it looked fun. It was as if it was making the slow Tuesday night more fun for the diners. Consider dressing up to its ambience is what I suggest to people. I will definitely go back here to have some main item from the menu. Definitely tacos or something else. Good place for a little hangout time with friends or even date night!

Came for dinner last night for the first time and we were pleased! The elotes dip was to die for, the aqua frescas (for girlies that don't drink) was so good and we both got the surf and turf burrito which was delish! Server was attentive and it's a cool spot. So big we took half home for lunch prices were good too. Saw they have a lunch deal for $10 so definitely will be back for that!

The food here was some of my favorite Mexican I've had in Denver recently. The ambiance is also super fun and festive, live music, fun decor, etc. Our service was semi mediocre, but definitely could have been worse. I try not to judge a place off of service from one visit, so I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend the queso, enchiladas, and cuatro leches (they add coconut milk to there's)

    Ceviche

We came for happy hour. There were four of us and we each ordered an appetizer. Our server was excellent. She was very attentive and got refills of our margaritas as we needed them. The queso was good but kinda like rubber. It didn't drip like your typical queso. The nachos were meh. I enjoyed a molote, but I'm not sure I could eat more than one of them. The ceviche was delicious. The margs were pretty good. The a/c was off. I would have selected to sit on their patio but it was in direct sun and too hot. We soon found out the a/c was off. The thermostat said 80 back by the bathrooms. It was really uncomfortable to eat in this heat. I've been here before, but it has been years. It was wonderful then, but not so now. I wouldn't come back or recommend it.

The food was over priced and the margaritas were not strong at all. I tried this place twice. Probably won't return.

Get the mole and the fajitas, you won't be dissapointed for the price. It was real Mexican food and the potion was huge.

This is the Michelin restaurant that you go to if you like a more casual / less stuffy experience. Food: 4 Every dish that we ordered was delicious, but slightly on the heavy side without anything light/acidic to break it up. Perhaps it's because of what we chose to order though! Frijoles Puerco: This was a play on refried beans and chorizo. The chorizo has a little kick to it. The sourdough tortillas were delicious and served fresh and warm. Callo De Hacha Al Horno: The scallops were a flavor bomb served in a serrano ponzu and tomato butter. I'm unsure why the scallops were cut into smaller pieces instead of left whole... Enmoladas De Pollo: This was essentially chicken enchiladas cooked in mole so I was skeptical if I would find this dish worthwhile. They proved me wrong as this was one of the best dishes of the night. The mole was flavorful, not too heavy, and the chicken enchilada was so well cooked. Birria De Borrego: The lamb shank was cooked until it was fork tender. After taking it apart, wrap it in a fresh and warm tortilla with refried corn beans and salsa. The lamb was well cooked and made for a good balanced bite, but it did feel special. Service: 5 We set at the chef table and was able to watch as they finished and plated each dish. The chef was attentive without being overbearing/annoying and we had a good conversation with him. Food came out at a good pace. Ambiance: 5 The restaurant is small and cozy. It didn't feel stifling or pretentious as other fine dining restaurants can sometimes feel. This would be perfect for a date or dinner with friends.

Others in my party might not have felt that way. But nonetheless they enjoyed the entire experience. It felt like everything we ate (at first) was pretty spicy. But by the end, the spice level was coming down. Some of the highlights, the sweet potato, the sourdough tortilla with the chorizo burrito. The scallops. The cod. The birria. The mushroom quesadilla. So, pretty much all of it! I enjoyed everything that I ate! I'm interested to come back for happy hour, since they have a few different plates on that menu. For dinner, I'll keep it reserved for special occasions. Try and get a reservation, I think you'll enjoy yourself, if you appreciate craft cuisine. Good job, Alma Fonda Fina Team!

Looking at taco places, I went with something close by to our location and found this hidden gem. Nestled away on a small street corner of Clay Street and 32nd Ave. parking can be scarce, but I'm sure with the right time and a little bit of walking you will find and manage your way here. Outside the restaurant, they have a small seating area which now is winter too cold to enjoy, but I'm sure in the spring and summer and fall time is super enjoyable. The inside, though a little bit tiny and no cozier than going to your mom's house and expecting a family Filled living room/Kitchen. We went down and greeted by three smiling faces. We already looked at the photos online and knew we want tacos so opted with the chicken tacos and Carne Asada taco plates. The tacos place option came with 5 tacos with up to 2 choices of meats the ratio would be 2:3 .. freshly mashed guacamole made in front of you or freshly sliced avocado.. In the pictures I listed you will find each chicken and Carne Asada options. Both slow pictures missing two tacos because we devoured them as soon as we got into the truck. Their street tacos are heavenly! Chicken option was all chicken breast super juicy grilled to perfection five tacos on a plate another two tacos missing because my husband and I devoured it. This plate came we asked it with the guacamole option instead of fresh avocado. The carne asada was just FULL of flavor and the fresh avocado slices with green tomatillo salsa SLAPPED.. the tortillas are super soft and tears from how fresh the flour tortillas were!! Definitely a place to sit and eat there to enjoy the hot food. I'm originally from SoCal and a heavily populated Latinos with amazing tacos and food.. Taqueria La Familia passed the bar high!! We can't wait to come back and try other options and will update pictures and review then!

I was vaguely familiar with Chef Richard Sandoval due to his brief appearance on Top Chef, but didn't know too much about his cuisine. The brunch has a really fun and original idea in that you can order bottomless small plates for $42 per person or bottomless food and drinks for $59 in person, with a two-hour limit.
