It has been the go to spot for my boyfriend and I for forever! We love the house margarita and can never stop at just one. You really can't go wrong with the food, we love the quesabirria tacos, fajitas, salsa, ceviche, guacamole, and queso! The vibes are just amazing, the decoration, ambiance, and music make you feel like you've been transported to another place, it's the perfect little escape. I've driven by Que Bueno Suerte so many times and seen it all over social media, and now I'm just disappointed in myself for waiting this long to try it. From the moment we walked in, the service stood out. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the space itself feels like a party with great lighting and a fun atmosphere. The food and drinks were just as strong. We tried a variety of dishes and everything landed. Favorites for me were the queso fundido with perfectly melted cheeses and house made tortillas, the Mexican elote off the cob which was rich and flavorful, and the surf and turf Cali burrito. The addition of fries inside the burrito worked really well and made it even more satisfying. They also have mariachi Thursday through Saturday along with other events, which adds to the overall experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you haven't been yet. read more

it's not often that i find myself in a mexican restaurant, but this one definitely feels like it hits all the expectations i had and more. i got the enchiladas, which were quite tasty. the amount of guacamole that came with the chips was surprising considering how stingy other places often are with their guac. portions overall were just about right. we stayed and chatted for maybe half an hour longer than we should have, but we werent asked to leave, which was nice. it's a very nice place to chill, so im definitely thinking to come back if i can! read more

Amazing amazing amazing brunch!! I need to come back for dinner and try the tacos. The Bistec y Huevos was only $16 and it could've been 3 meals. You can choose how your eggs are cooked (I chose fried) and the steak almost tasted like a filet. Not to mention the crispy smashed potatoes!! The atmosphere is what initially caught my attention. They have a cute patio if you want to sit with fresh air. The inside is very cool decor (and I think they do dancing at night?). Overall, neighborhood must try! read more

Que Bueno Suerte exceeded my expectations in many ways. I went for a Tamalada class which includes two drinks and a plate of tamales. Do not sleep on this place if you haven't been. Their vegetarian tamale with their sage cream sauce was out of this world delicious! For the class we had a regular margarita and a paloma type of drink. They were both so good! The paloma had aperol in it which was a different yet wonderful take on a paloma. I could've had a few more of those if we had stayed longer. They have a lot of space too so I think it would be nice for bigger groups too. It has a fun atmosphere too. Once they opened after the class the energy really picked up! I decided to go to the farmers market on Sunday morning and got hungry. I looked up the yelp reviews for this place and it was pretty good so I decided to stop in. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and I should've eaten outside, but I decided to stay at the bar. I don't drink alcohol, but this was just the fastes place to sit. The restaurant is nicely decorated. I like the ingenuity of using white long light bulbs with colored neon stream lighting. The bartender Franco was super nice and gave me great service. He recommended the bistec dish and it was very tasty. The bistec was moist and done just right. It came with baked potato slices which was probably my favorite because it still had the skin and was a little crispy on the outside while baked right on the inside. It also came with your choice of eggs, guacamole, lettuce and tomato/sweet pepper mix. Priced just right for a good hearty lunch read more

Definitely not the best; definitely not the most authentic. Hold on hold on...I definitely have more to say here! What I couldn't ignore about this restaurant were its great location (Washington Park), its s ambitious and its service. After a nice walk in Washington Park with friends, we cane here to get some late night snacks. I didn't want to eat a large meal so I went with a few sides: a bowl of black refried beans and a plate of guacamole. Both of them were good portions. They tasted good; absolutely no complaints there. Our waiter was nice/friendly. I appreciated his professionalism. What I was most impressed with was the ambiance. To some people, the interior design/decorations might be a bit too grandiose. To me, it looked fun. It was as if it was making the slow Tuesday night more fun for the diners. Consider dressing up to its ambience is what I suggest to people. I will definitely go back here to have some main item from the menu. Definitely tacos or something else. Suerte is one of those places that makes people say that Denver has no good Mexican food. From browsing through other reviews, I am really unsure if we ate at the same place because we really did not enjoy our experience. The food was not great, service left a lot to be desired, and there are so many other Mexican food places to try that are much better. We arrived just before 8pm on a Thursday, I wouldn't say this is a quiet day of the week and there were several other diners in the restaurant. The mariachi band was just packing up when we got there. We sat down and had to wait 5-10 minutes for our server to appear. Between that time, we saw a lady from the patio have to come in and ask for the check because the server was nowhere to be found. My husband got a standard margarita and then we got the chips and salsa and crunchy chicken tacos to share. I'm not sure if this is the protocol here but the chips and salsa came out with the meal so we sat there waiting for about 10-15 minutes. I will say now that it's fine the salsa didn't come out earlier because it was disgusting and I enjoy most salsas. The texture was like puréed tomatoes with curdled milk. My thought as I lifted the salsa on the chip to my mouth was that "this looks like throw up". I had one chip and that was enough. The crunchy taco had a bunch of shredded romaine lettuce on the place and then it was just a crispy tortilla, some chicken inside, maybe some sour creme? Nothing special, nothing great about it. When the server appeared again, we closed out immediately and left. I was not impressed at all with Suerte and will not be returning. To sum up our experience, we should have gone home and eaten leftovers instead of going here. read more

The ambiance is also super fun and festive, live music, fun decor, etc. Our service was semi mediocre, but definitely could have been worse. We came for happy hour. There were four of us and we each ordered an appetizer. Our server was excellent. She was very attentive and got refills of our margaritas as we needed them. The queso was good but kinda like rubber. It didn't drip like your typical queso. The nachos were meh. I enjoyed a molote, but I'm not sure I could eat more than one of them. The ceviche was delicious. The margs were pretty good. The a/c was off. I would have selected to sit on their patio but it was in direct sun and too hot. We soon found out the a/c was off. The thermostat said 80 back by the bathrooms. It was really uncomfortable to eat in this heat. I've been here before, but it has been years. It was wonderful then, but not so now. i love it here so much! the nachos are soooo good and exactly what i want in a nacho order. the chips are thin and crispy and the queso is not overly salty. the guacamole is so fresh and the carnitas are chewy and savory. just so good! the environment /ambiance is always a good time and the live music makes things so fun. great vibe and atmosphere that makes me feel like im in mexico. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the 2 times i've ordered the nachos the portion size was a bit inconsistent and the second time they forgot the meat, but the quality of each ingredient, the ambiance, and the combination of their flavors keeps me coming back. Felt a little lucky on taco Tuesday so I switched up my taco rotation. This is by far the best atmosphere to enjoy tacos! I ordered 4 different tacos tonight: the Carne Asada, Pescado, Pollo Abobado, and Carnitas. I thought each taco was very flavorful, but if I had to pick a favorite it was the Pollo Abodado and Pescado. Usually it's the Carne Asada for me but tonight it finished 3rd. Jessica was slinging drinks behind the bar and providing conversation, in fact, the entire staff had really good attitudes. When I found out they didn't have a sopapillas or fried ice cream they did try to sell me on the Churros-- maybe next time. A few more dessert choices and I could toss another star up top. All in all, with the few visits I've had I feel this is a solid restaurant and I like that it is open until 10 for us workaholics. Neat Mexican patio dining in the East Washington Park area. If you can say one thing about Que Bueno Suerte it's that their potions are large and the food is very good. (Oh . . . that's 2 things:). Went there for "Mescal Monday" and had good guacamole (pre-prepared quac (?) along with freshly smashed guac, and would rather have had it be all of the latter and none of the former) . . . and excellent enchiladas de la suerte. The chicken on my pollo en mole was perfectly prepared. I just would have been a fan of a more richly flavored mole sauce with more of a chocolate and chili taste rather than the green chili version QBS uses. All and all, however, it was a great value, excellent service and a very fun dinner. Definitely would go back and I think the place is 4 stars and not the 3.5 its currently rated. Come back to this place after years of avoiding from previous bad experience and it is worse than before and was actually surprised it was still open and had good reviews, so thought a solid revamp worth trying? How is this place ranked so high? Not even half full restaurant when we arrived; we sat at the bar and there were only 4 other patrons, together seemingly on their way out (though maybe waiting forever for service like us???). Neither of the two bartenders acknowledged us for over five minutes. though they clearly saw us, and at one point were just hanging out chatting to each other. Finally a guy came over seemingly begrudgingly. Then bemoaned they were out of everything basic for the bar. Got drinks which seemed to be an effort to get even though we didn't have any specialty drinks since they were out of everything. Then an exhaustingly long time before he was ready to take our order, which food came out wrong considerably later and wasn't anything out of the ordinary. And no follow up on the food until much later, which we had just accepted as is so we could leave. Then SUPER quick on his time dropping the check and taking payment. This to me is the biggest insult of bad service. And my check was incorrect. Which also took time to address. Sooo much apathy and laziness here. Ton of staff just hanging at the hostess stand as we left. Bartenders are usually the staff that can handle a lot and top customer service which is why they get to be at the bar. The guy that waited on us acted exasperated at the little service he managed to eek out with little going on and couldn't manage basic table service. Outside of service. The food is just ok. I went to Que Bueno Suerte as I had vegan company in town and needed a place to take them (the menu said they had some options). My chicken enchiladas were great, but there was an issue with my husband's order. He's one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like soap, so he asks for no cilantro. Waiter says no problem. He brings out my husband's food and it's full of cilantro. Waiter says he asked them not to add extra cilantro but that it was already mixed in to both his tacos. (This would have been something to mention on the front end.) Hubs doesn't say anything so he leaves basically without eating dinner. While this isn't the worst thing, I have food allergies and would have been very upset if I had made a request and it was treated like this. read more

over a year ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune that requires me to eat a very limited diet. For a year I have searched for a place where I could enjoy a dairy, free soy free, egg free meal. I thought I had found the place. Although they had a lot of gluten-free options, the service was terrible. it was obvious that they did not have enough help for a Friday night as our server was on bar, duty, patio duty, and our table. She was in charge of our table only after I asked if we had a server because we were there for 10 minutes without any service. we put in our order but did not get what we ordered. We had three different people approach our table that were not out. My husband said his burrito was really good and the beans on my plate were very tasty, but we will not go there again. Absolute favorite taco joint in the city. Hubby and I treat ourselves to this joint after the pearl street market. Fried avocado tacos are my go to but have never had anything bad here. They have changed things up some and added rice to the taco plate which is freaking delicious. Skinny marg on the side and people watching, can't get any better. Love this place. read more

Went for Denver restaurant week and was left a more than a little disappointed. The staff was friendly but they were not ready for increased business. We were waiting for a server to check in on us between courses, and it prolonged our dinner so we were there for 2.5 hours. The food was alright but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop at this restaurant again. Nothing about the cuisine was remarkable and it left much to be desired. Their chicken was over seasoned with salt and the sopa tortilla tasted like a can of premade soup. Pretty steep pricing as the meal could've been served at Chilis for all it lacked in authenticity. Visiting from Dallas Texas. This was not my pick but this is where the menfolk voted to eat. I'm hoping it was an off night but I was not impressive as a Mexican I'm going to judge Mexican food on another level. Be aware that you have to pay for chips and salsa something I've never seen in Texas. Maybe it's a Denver thing. The salsa was tomato onion with cilantro it had no heat whatsoever. The Serranos were not spicy at all. Chips were stall not sure if that was because we came in at the last hour before closing. I had chicken flautas not impressed, the bean soup was good for me (I got it fresh others at the table got old beans and complained), my spouse got carne asada overall it was ok and given the cost we expected more than ok. I guess it's a great place if you don't know Mexican food. The server was great he was very understanding and patient with the group so this review is no reflection on the server. When we first walked by this restaurant we had to stop in, all the decor enticed us to give it a shot. It is an absolutely beautiful restaurant we loved how they designed it. Service was good, we were sat down right away and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was okay it definitely wasn't authentic, it wasn't bad but was more of an Americanized Mexican restaurant. I ordered the carne asada tacos and fish taco, they were okay they were lacking a little seasoning. My wife ordered the mole and she wasn't a fan which was a bummer she loves mole. I think this would be a great place to meet for happy hour and appetizers but I don't know if I'd come back for a full blown meal. read more

Wow! Que Bueno Suerte exceeded our expectations from the food, to the service and even the ambiance. Visiting QBS for the first time for my husband's bday and upon entering, the place was vibrant and lively. The hostesses were super friendly and sat us at the perfect high top by the bar, in the corner - giving us a great view of the Mariachi band and the restaurant. Immediately, we took it all in and agreed that the style and decor mimicked a vibrant and lively cantina we visited during a trip to Puerto Vallarta. It awakens, you which is awesome. Once seated and settled, Robin the bartender came over to greet us. He was so knowledgeable and friendly - plus his margarita is ON POINT! Super balanced and just outright dangerous, if you know what I mean ;) He gave us his recommendations and they did not disappoint! Everything was super delicious and authentic. I wanted to keep ordering. My heart said "do it" but my stomach said "please no!" hahahaha - in the end I listened to my stomach but you get the picture. Finally, the mariachi band was AMAZING! They had the whole restaurant grooving to their American and Spanish tunes. It's a family, and one of the sisters' voices touched me so deeply, that it almost brought a tear to my eye. I had dinner at Que Bueno Suerte last night and really wanted to love it but the food just didn't do it for me. Maybe my hopes were too high because the person I went with had been there before and raved about the food- I'm not sure. The restaurant had a really cool vibe and layout and good happy hour specials. Our server was really nice and accommodating, which was great since I had my toddler in tow. She found us a booster seat (at first I was told they only had high chairs) and made sure his taco came sans spicy (but very yummy) sauce. She also knew a ton about the menu and was helpful with recommendations. My son had the $2.50 Taco of the Day, and it was the perfect amount of food for him at a very reasonable price. Yesterday's was chicken, bacon, cheese, and the aforementioned spicy Ranch sauce. He very nearly ate the whole thing, which was quite a bit of food for a pint sized tummy. My friend and I both had the Grilled Jalapeño Paloma, which was tasty but didn't have the kick I'd expected from a Cointreau + Tequila combo. We started with chips and salsa I found the salsa kind of bland and the chips were just okay, fine from the grocery store but not what you'd expect at a restaurant. We also both had the Chile Relleno and both ate the whole thing. She loved hers and said it's her new favorite in town. I wasn't overly impressed, and also the in the side rice was undercooked and crunchy (I'm a big rice fan). At some point I'd like to give it another chance because overall there was a lot to love (friendly, knowledgeable server, cool atmosphere, food my toddler enjoyed, and great happy hour specials). Enjoyed getting a chance to check out this restaurant tonight! The food was very tasty, between the spices and textures, we all left feeling very satisfied. I had 2 of the appetizers (tacos dorados and molotes) , and my family members had variations of the tacos- nice to find something for everyone! The atmosphere is great with the Mayan inspired wall art and modern lighting and the service was prompt and friendly. They had a piano there that was covered but looks like there may be nights where they offer live music!
