Not to say we didn't have alot of good food, but here each dish received high marks. The chanfana is the local special, so would highly recommend you get that. All of the meat was done well... Crispy outside and fall apart, fork tender on the inside. The staff were also very friendly and personable.

Our waiter, Raphael, was courteous and helpful with the all Portuguese menu. We ordered the house white wine and a bottle of still water. The wine was very good but very inexpensive. We started with soup, my wife with vegetable and me with seafood. While hers was good, mine was rich and flavorful and excellent (I had others in Portugal but this was the best). Then we had salad and chorizo sausage. Salad was adequate, but the sausage was done to perfection. Then came my wife's entree of pork cheeks with potatoes and a delicious cabbage mix. I had their goat, served in a pot with a luscious gravy that was perfect for dunking your bread in. With it were boiled potatoes and spinach. The spinach was pan seared with oil and garlic. The potatoes went well with the abundant gravy. Topped it off with the home made almond cake with a side of ice cream. All this for 75 euros. We came back to our hotel stuffed and satisfied. The only problem was yelp has the address wrong. I have included in the photos their card with the correct address, about a half block from the old one. By the way, they do take credit cards. Enjoy!

The focus here is on rotisserie chicken; they have other items but they're not the main event. It's very big inside, 2 stories and even early it's pretty busy. The chicken is well seasoned and very juicy; enough so that you know why it's So popular. Sides I can barely remember , but everything else was good- it's just that you will Always remember that chicken! Other than that, my only other clear memory of that dinner is that it was very reasonably priced. If I were in the area again, I'd return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

As I came in on my own I opted for the one open stool at the counter. The restaurant was busy on a Monday early evening, about 5:30-6:00 pm-ish, with what felt like mostly locals. They have a regular menu, a daily menu printed on the counter top, and they also do Take-Away. Their specialty is definitely their roasted chicken, which one can see cooking on spits at the entrance of the restatruant, conjuring such amazing smells that truly open up the appetite. The staff is sweet and did their best to serve me, with my English/Spanish and no Portugese self. Everything I ate was top-tier without being fancy. Simple and flavorful. I ordered a 1/2 chicken (way too much for me by myself) that came with batatas (french fries- which I didnt love), so I ordered a side of white rice and a salad, as well as what I would call a carafe of wine (it was definitely either two very healthy pours or 3 regular ones). All in all, I paid $15 euros, which I thought was a great value for all that I was given and how tasty everything was.

Having opted for fish earlier in the day we wanted some other types of meat and this place came though huge for us. I found it through Yelp and my friends and I walked over and was hoping for the best after seeing the reviews and it did not disappoint. We got the Lamb Short ribs, Rabbit and Sausage with breads in it, I forget the name. We also took a beer and soda and everything came in at just over 20€. Each plate came with rice and potatoes(french fires) also. I can't even find the words to describe how good everything was but I would love to come here again. The wait staff was super friend and quick too. I don't know that they spoke english as my friends ordered for us. Delicious!

It is not easy to find and parking can be a challenge but it is well worth the trip! One of the waiters is not the nicest but everybody else is super friendly. Everything I have tried has been excellent, even the salad is fresh and very tasty. The only thing I would keep away from is desserts, at least the chocolate mousse is not home made but the waiter was honest about it. Food is traditional Portuguese food, preparation and taste is as authentic as you can get. Portions are very generous and the price is really affordable. One serving usually feeds two people easily, you will be full by the end of the meal, I guarantee it! You can ask for a half serving if you are by yourself. The restaurant is non smoking, it can get pretty crowded, socially if you go on the weekends, but the very tasty food is well worth the wait!

The ocean views (and even the smell of the sea air) made the whole experience feel special and authentic. We had a group of 20 people for a team gathering, and the atmosphere was perfect--lively, comfortable, and great for a larger party without feeling chaotic. Loved the live tanks with lobster and crab--such a cool touch and a reminder of how fresh everything is. And the desserts... wow. Truly heavenly. Don't skip them.

Our favorite dish by far was the fish stew. This was delicious. It came in a sauce that was quite unique, but suited the seafood really well. We couldn't figure out what was in it though. Even thought its called fish stew, it actually comes with a variety of seafood including fish, eel, shrimp and squid. The dish is meant to serve 2, but it is so big it could probably feed 3. Fried eel was really good too. I've never had this eel fried before, but did enjoy this. Tasted better than fried fish or calamari imo. We wanted to also order fried John Dory, but they only offered fried for some reason, so we got that. It was fairly tasteless... just like standard fried fish. Many reviews complain about the Ipad menu. I have no idea why, because it was really easy to use.
