I enjoyed their menu because they had the wine pairings listed that they suggest to go along with the dish you order from the menu. With an inviting owner Silvia, who is incontestably a kind host with a great deal of patience and dedication for her guests. She started this restaurant adventure with her sister known to be a talented cook. Her husband, the wine maker of Aneto had purchased with her a winery that required a lot of attention and love. So, the idea was to create an Artisanal and innovative restaurant that would be supporting and enhancing their wine business. Well, they are now number ONE and recognized by the regional wine tourism association! Bravo ! They offer a small selection of Tapas and a wine pairing experience with eight original creations. They were also recommended to me by the owner of two great restaurants in Porto (Meia-Nau). The verdict is great! Our Tapas with Mussels and Sardines were great. The Portobello mushroom with tomatoes and a decomposition of ratatouille was divine. The Black Pasta with Mussels was also excellent. And for the wine The Grand Reserve Tinto 2020 was a delightful surprise. A full body wine with a well balanced combination of complexity and lightness. This wine offers a mixed elixir of joy with oak, vanilla, strong Blackberry , dark curent and wet saddle as well as a hint of chocolate and citrus! This is place is a great value in a charming and relaxed ambiance. We will be back!

We were able to snag a reservation without really knowing what to expect and we definitely were not anticipating this level of elegance! We ended up having a three hour dinner because everything felt so comfortable, peaceful, and lovely. I cannot recommend the sliders with quail eggs on top enough. My husband had the Iberian pork and really enjoyed it, and I absolutely loved my octopus. It was probably some of the best I have ever had. For dessert we had cheesecake and it was just as divine. If you want a dinner you won't forget anytime soon, definitely check out this place.

Modern and airy, tables are well spaced, and the decor is very muted and subtle, but rich. The service is amazing. We were a table of 8 and everyone who came to the table was so nice, helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'm sure waiters hate having to take pics of everyone, but ours were fantastic about it. But all that aside, the food is incredible. I had Iberico pork that was so succulent, seared nicely and roasted (I assume). We all shared some steak tartare, tuna tartare and an amazing cheeseboard. Drinks were also on point. I really love it here and have added it to my "must do" list in Porto.

Nice vibes...but beware…read more I have dined at Grigio during the multiple times I have visited Porto. I typically order the same thing and it usually ranges from decent to very good. However, I forgot that they are tricky. Upon being seated, they will bring a small basket of bread (three half slices of toast and a couple oversized thin crackers). They call this "Couvert". They will stand there with the bread and say something like "I have some bread for you" or "Would you like some bread?" They do not mention the charge of €3.50, but it is on the menu to order. But typically, you have yet to look at the menu to see it on there by the time it is presented to you. So who knows how many people have been fooled by this. Instead of letting people order a starter if they want, they are brought this bread by default. During my most recent visit, I noticed a couple who picked up a tip left on their table because they were unaware of the charge when they got their final bill. I will most likely never dine there again. But let this be a warning to those visiting Porto who decide to dine there. The pizza is good, but there is better in the area. My review is heavily weighted towards a 3 due to how they conduct their business.

English a bit off but I appreciate that he is really trying. A lot better than my Portuguese. The fish steak was so so. It had good flavoring but I really wanted a more quality fish. I like that I was able to add a salad. I had a delicious coffee and pineapple soda which the waiter thought it was a sparkling drink as a translation. Somewhat similar but not quite the same. Coffee was very on-point and Porto Wine cake had a homey feel and was satisfyingly tasteful. I declined the bread since there is bread everywhere and I don't want too many carbohydrates. It probably cost extra. I tried to confirm with the waiter but I don't think he understood this nuance. He was also serving so many people with only one other person and this person was naturally better at serving more people at once than the other person but they both seemed very kind. On my way back to the hotel, I noticed a Quinta Da Foz and I wonder if these places are connected. Cais Da Foz did offer wine as an option.

Around noon, someone did show up briefly to post a sign out front saying they were going to be opening at 12:45 that day (I asked out of curiosity; sounds like it's *often* 12:30, but it's really mostly a "they'll open when they want to" kind of place.) I knew it'd be the sort of place that would fill up immediately, so I got back at 12:30. At least that day, it turns out they still had 1 table left after they sat everyone there before they opened - that last table got claimed at 1, 15 minutes later. It's not a large space, and word is out for good reason. Given it's not a large space, it was also easy for them to have excellent service, which they did. You could tell they were all passionate about the place, and again, for good reason - it was great. Definitely one of the best meals we ate on that trip. Between the two of us, we tried: Complimentary bread and olive oil. One OMG fantastic, wonderful fish soup. The sort of soup you'd want to eat every day if you could. Croquettes that were pretty good. Enjoyable enough, perfectly crispy, a little too salty. Not nearly as memorable as everything else. The seafood rice stew for 2 - a description I always question ("for 2"), but true in this case. It was quite large - and great. Excellent shrimp, which I'm picky about. I'm even pickier about shellfish (clams, mussels, etc). I was expecting to give my wife most of them, but I did *not* do that. They really know how to get and cook the best seafood here. The rice at the top of the stew wasn't anything particular to mention - filling, though, and warming for the drizzly day it'd been that morning. The rice at the *bottom* of the stew, that'd been slowly cooking in hot stew the whole time, was *very good*. :D Wine-wise, they have like a hundred bottles of wine by the whole bottom, some very expensive, some *surprisingly* reasonably priced, but we also didn't need a whole bottle of wine with lunch - by the glass, they just had one red and one white house wine (also solidly priced, though, for a place like this, 6 euros (Be way more than that in the US. I had the red with the stew - solid.) Also a handful of solid-looking ports by the glass, one of which I had with dessert, a reserva tawny for 6.50 euros. After eating the stew, my wife tapped out. I was also pretty full, but I'd spent a lot of effort getting here and I was *gonna* have dessert, darn it. Had what was basically just a whole roasted stewed apple, cooked down until it turned to pudding. Super good. Went really well with a reserva tawny port. This place was great.

Luckily for us the restaurant was only half full so there was no need to wait (weekday at 3pm). Odd hours for popular restaurants worked out the best for us on this trip. Inside there were just 8 tables so I can see why this place usually sees long lines outside. It was quite cozy. Menu was straightforward with appetizers, seafood and from the country (aka meat). The octopus rice was so good. The strips of sliced octopus were very tender and the flavors of this dish were delicious. It was comforting on that cold and rainy afternoon. The salt crusted seabass selection was delivered the with flare all covered in flames. Our server ignored the flames and proceeded to crack open the salt crust, fillet and debone the fish. Full service! The fish was meaty and perfectly cooked. The side of potatoes and broccoli was addicting and I normally don't eat a lot of potatoes. We skipped dessert but the menu was tempting. Besides the fish service it would've been nice to have a bit more proactive attention from our server. When we requested our check, she pointed out that out that tipping was not included and waited until we completed the transaction. Would return for the food next time in Porto.
