Absolutely amazing good! We got into town and was looking for something to eat that was typical of…read morePortugal. Having opted for fish earlier in the day we wanted some other types of meat and this place came though huge for us. I found it through Yelp and my friends and I walked over and was hoping for the best after seeing the reviews and it did not disappoint. We got the Lamb Short ribs, Rabbit and Sausage with breads in it, I forget the name. We also took a beer and soda and everything came in at just over 20€. Each plate came with rice and potatoes(french fires) also. I can't even find the words to describe how good everything was but I would love to come here again. The wait staff was super friend and quick too. I don't know that they spoke english as my friends ordered for us. Delicious!

One of the waiters is not the nicest but everybody else is super friendly. Everything I have tried has been excellent, even the salad is fresh and very tasty. The only thing I would keep away from is desserts, at least the chocolate mousse is not home made but the waiter was honest about it. Food is traditional Portuguese food, preparation and taste is as authentic as you can get. Portions are very generous and the price is really affordable. One serving usually feeds two people easily, you will be full by the end of the meal, I guarantee it! You can ask for a half serving if you are by yourself. The restaurant is non smoking, it can get pretty crowded, socially if you go on the weekends, but the very tasty food is well worth the wait!

H'or doevres were not hot and very doughy. There were several but I was only offered one. Octopus carpaccio was the hit of the evening. Razor think with salsa verde and pomegranate seeds. The beef tenderloin was not hot and overcooked but tender. The exquisite dessert was too much for me so I just tasted the mango sorbet. Lots of wine pairings.

As the nights are starting to get cooler after the sunset (7:30), they had located many heating lamps and positioned cozy blankets on chairs just in case. It was quite pleasant. Food-wise you can order a tasting menu if several courses with optional wine pairings or do what we did and select from the ala-carte menu. We've learned with the big portion sizes here in Portugal to cut back a bit so we ordered two starters (burratta with tomatoes and the scarlet shrimp with rice). The burratta was a standout with creamy sweet cheese nestled in a tomato confit. The shrimp was interesting-it was almost like a mini lobster and the server removed the head at the table for me. We decided to share a main course-the veal tenderloin which was good but not nearly as tender as one might expect. In between there were little small bites from the chef and we ended with a luscious chocolate dessert. The white glove service was a swarm of activity instantly refilling glasses, clearing plates and changing silverware-it was a little much for me as our table was right at the crossroads of the activity. Wine list is huge as you'd expect with everything from wines by the glass for €10-17 to bottles in the hundreds and even thousands of euros. I saw one that was €6 thousand on the list. As is common in this kind of place, prices were steep and our dinner with 2 drinks, 2 glasses of wine, 2 starters, 1 main and 1 dessert was around €150. Bottom line a lovely place with great service and food and high
