Arrived in Porto around 7 pm and asked our hotel clerk a restaurant nearby that didn't need a reservation. He recommended Impar Flores and it was just a good 7 minute casual walk from our hotel. All the tables were full when we got there around 730 pm and so had to wait a good 10 mins at the bar before we got seated. Service- for a Saturday night, the place was busy and the staff was cordial and friendly. Kudos to this one waiter/manager who got us seated who was extremely friendly (photo attached). 5 stars Food- we got the prawns tempura as an appetizer based on Yelp reviews. It's a little different than Japanese tempura in that the batter around the prawn wasn't crisped but a bit soft in texture. The green dipping sauce I can't quite describe it but worked well with the tempura. As a first bite, we enjoyed it. 4.5 stars My wife had the salada de salmao (salmon salad). It was in a bowl, nicely plated with generous amount of thin salmon along with avocado. I didn't try it but wife enjoyed her salad. As for me, I got the naco de vazia c vinho de Porto. (Sirloin steak with port wine). It included a small salad and fries that reminded me of In N Out fries. The steak tasted great and the sauce had a nice gravy taste but very subtle with the port wine. I enjoyed it. 5 stars. The check came in a book and you can pay cash or credit card which we chose card. Overall, it was a great first meal at Porto. Would come back in the future.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. It has an energetic vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very accommodating as I arrived without a reservation. Highly recommend the shrimp tempura! It's the best batter I've ever tasted on this kind of appetizer. The steak was a bit tough tho, that was my only neg. Would definitely return. Oh and prices were reasonable!

We walked by and saw this place was busy and decided wanted to grab dinner here. Emanuel was outstanding as he was incredibly friendly and helpful in helping us get an outside seat even though they were packed. For appetizer we ordered the tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, and cheese plate and for dinner got the octopus. Tuna tartare was outstanding and super fresh and full of flavor, beef carpaccio was good and cheese was plate was good and tbh too much cheese for us. The octopus was also good. Out of the 3 octopus we had in Porto this was third only because it needed some sauce to tie everything in. Great location with being out in a busy street to people watch and outstanding service especially because of Emanuel!

A wonderful pork dish with potatoes, salad & oranges!

Very nice restaurant to enjoy lunch. The rains of Porto scrubbed our plans to eat outside but we enjoyed our lunch with friends inside! The wait staff was kind & cordial. The duck meal and pork meal were excellent! Be sure to try Impar Flores next time you are in Porto!

Came here for lunch. It was exactly what I needed. I ordered the "Linguine nero with prawns" which I was absolutely craving and it did not disappoint. To drink, I had the azur (?) white wine which was just okay. My partner had some beef with fries which was overall okay, not the best but definitely not the worst. I was just so happy about my pasta that I was craving; it really hit the spot though it was on the smaller side for how hungry I was. The service was great. We sat outside, the weather was perfect, the people watching lovely. I'll be back

Amazing food and service. A cute little upscale but not stuffy restaurant. Best meal I had in Porto! I love octopus as it isn't the easiest to cook but my risotto with it was tender Lucious and perfect. My mom had the tuna and it tasted like meet perfectly cook but still pink the way tuna needs to be. Prawns are a must super good pasta as well. I don't like desserts but even these ones are a must. Def check this place out!

Rain was pouring outside, but the inside was cozy and inviting, perfect for dinner for two. Started with the cod croquettes - they were good, but nothing to rave about. Hubby had duck, which again, was good. My mushroom risotto was great. Fairly priced dinner with drinks. While our original waitress was bored, quiet and lackluster, the male waiter made up in charisma, giving us pointers on bars and other places to visit in Porto.

Overall this place was not bad but it was very pricy for very little good risotto. Quality- the mushroom risotto was pretty good. It was Cooked well. The octopus risotto was a bit overcooked and there was not much octopus flavor to it. The duck salad barely had any duck. It was mostly vegetables. Quantity- a bit lacking here. 15 euros per dish is a lot. Atmosphere- I like the outdoor seating a lot. It is very nice. Service- great service here

Conveniently located in the Centro Historico area of Porto, this tapas restaurant has a variety of tapas and main entrees depending on what you're in the mood for. We had tapas and tried sardines, sausage, salad, shrimp tempura. I also had a fish soup which was delicious. This was enough for two of us. The server spoke English and menu was also in English. Server was helpful in making recommendations. The prices were in line with other touristy restaurants.

Searching Yelp for a place to grab lunch and this place popped out. It has indoor seating and seating on the patio areas on both sides of the restaurant. It was raining out, so we grabbed a table inside. The service was awesome and our server answered our questions about the menu. We even received recommendations from the guests seated next to us. We ordered a couple starter items and two different pasta dishes. The food was amazing. Also, the beer was cold! Stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Food is good Service is nice The restaurant inside is not that big, we chose the seat outside which was perfect for the area.

This was our favorite dining spot during the brief stay in Porto. The food was fresh and delicious. Perfect and friendly service. There's always some wait; however, they do their best to accommodate you as fast as possible.

The place is really cute and has nice atmosphere. The foods are ok to me. One of my friend had steak, and he really enjoy it. But the rest of us give food 3/5 due to we don't really enjoy our food as we expect. Services here are very nice. I will be back again for something else next time.

The focus here is on rotisserie chicken; they have other items but they're not the main event. It's very big inside, 2 stories and even early it's pretty busy. The chicken is well seasoned and very juicy; enough so that you know why it's So popular. Sides I can barely remember , but everything else was good- it's just that you will Always remember that chicken! Other than that, my only other clear memory of that dinner is that it was very reasonably priced. If I were in the area again, I'd return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

As I came in on my own I opted for the one open stool at the counter. The restaurant was busy on a Monday early evening, about 5:30-6:00 pm-ish, with what felt like mostly locals. They have a regular menu, a daily menu printed on the counter top, and they also do Take-Away. Their specialty is definitely their roasted chicken, which one can see cooking on spits at the entrance of the restatruant, conjuring such amazing smells that truly open up the appetite. The staff is sweet and did their best to serve me, with my English/Spanish and no Portugese self. Everything I ate was top-tier without being fancy. Simple and flavorful. I ordered a 1/2 chicken (way too much for me by myself) that came with batatas (french fries- which I didnt love), so I ordered a side of white rice and a salad, as well as what I would call a carafe of wine (it was definitely either two very healthy pours or 3 regular ones). All in all, I paid $15 euros, which I thought was a great value for all that I was given and how tasty everything was.

Definitely recommend making a reservation, I found it impressive that the hostess's reservation system was essentially a notebook and pen in this digital age. We did not see much of our waiter, since the restaurant was extremely busy and filled up with diners. Standouts: 1. Razor clams - I'll always get these if I see it on the menu. Cooked in this incredible garlic sauce. 2. Fish and seafood cataplana - delicious, tomato-forward seafood stew; I liked the version that we had the night before more which came with rice and was more filling. But this was basically a never-ending bowl of fish, clams, mussels, and shrimp. Add to that the fact that the restaurant like most in Porto did not have A/C and I emerged feeling like I had been sitting in a sauna. Skipped dessert; I had my eye on the Weeel! froyo truck parked outside. One more nit - the metal chairs are not comfortable at all for sitting a long time in.

Around noon, someone did show up briefly to post a sign out front saying they were going to be opening at 12:45 that day (I asked out of curiosity; sounds like it's *often* 12:30, but it's really mostly a "they'll open when they want to" kind of place.) I knew it'd be the sort of place that would fill up immediately, so I got back at 12:30. At least that day, it turns out they still had 1 table left after they sat everyone there before they opened - that last table got claimed at 1, 15 minutes later. It's not a large space, and word is out for good reason. Given it's not a large space, it was also easy for them to have excellent service, which they did. You could tell they were all passionate about the place, and again, for good reason - it was great. Definitely one of the best meals we ate on that trip. Between the two of us, we tried: Complimentary bread and olive oil. One OMG fantastic, wonderful fish soup. The sort of soup you'd want to eat every day if you could. Croquettes that were pretty good. Enjoyable enough, perfectly crispy, a little too salty. Not nearly as memorable as everything else. The seafood rice stew for 2 - a description I always question ("for 2"), but true in this case. It was quite large - and great. Excellent shrimp, which I'm picky about. I'm even pickier about shellfish (clams, mussels, etc). I was expecting to give my wife most of them, but I did *not* do that. They really know how to get and cook the best seafood here. The rice at the top of the stew wasn't anything particular to mention - filling, though, and warming for the drizzly day it'd been that morning. The rice at the *bottom* of the stew, that'd been slowly cooking in hot stew the whole time, was *very good*. :D Wine-wise, they have like a hundred bottles of wine by the whole bottom, some very expensive, some *surprisingly* reasonably priced, but we also didn't need a whole bottle of wine with lunch - by the glass, they just had one red and one white house wine (also solidly priced, though, for a place like this, 6 euros (Be way more than that in the US. I had the red with the stew - solid.) Also a handful of solid-looking ports by the glass, one of which I had with dessert, a reserva tawny for 6.50 euros. After eating the stew, my wife tapped out. I was also pretty full, but I'd spent a lot of effort getting here and I was *gonna* have dessert, darn it. Had what was basically just a whole roasted stewed apple, cooked down until it turned to pudding. Super good. Went really well with a reserva tawny port. This place was great.

Luckily for us the restaurant was only half full so there was no need to wait (weekday at 3pm). Odd hours for popular restaurants worked out the best for us on this trip. Inside there were just 8 tables so I can see why this place usually sees long lines outside. It was quite cozy. Menu was straightforward with appetizers, seafood and from the country (aka meat). The octopus rice was so good. The strips of sliced octopus were very tender and the flavors of this dish were delicious. It was comforting on that cold and rainy afternoon. The salt crusted seabass selection was delivered the with flare all covered in flames. Our server ignored the flames and proceeded to crack open the salt crust, fillet and debone the fish. Full service! The fish was meaty and perfectly cooked. The side of potatoes and broccoli was addicting and I normally don't eat a lot of potatoes. We skipped dessert but the menu was tempting. Besides the fish service it would've been nice to have a bit more proactive attention from our server. When we requested our check, she pointed out that out that tipping was not included and waited until we completed the transaction. Would return for the food next time in Porto.

And there were a series of small, minor issues that detracted from the experience. Bread course came warm, with a caramelized onion butter and some spicy bell pepper mayo that was ridiculously divine. This was my favorite course. Got the Cyber Punk tuna sashimi. Presentation was amazing. The tuna itself paired with the ponzu sauce was quite good. There were other elements like trout roe and crispy chicken skin, but the portions were sparse and I felt like the sauce drowned out their contribution a bit. Still a great dish though. Would order again. My main dish was the Vitela (braised veal). While the menu ostensibly presents these items for two to share, they can make half-portions of certain items, of which the Vitela was one. The meat was wonderfully tender. Flavor was had a slight tinge of bitterness and saltiness that didn't quite agree with me. Good dish overall. Service was kind and engaging. Possibly a bit too fussy over me for my American sensibilities, but they were very nice. The server knowledgeable about wine pairings and helped me pick out some for the courses I ordered. A couple of very minor issues here and there, like spilling some wine when pouring the glass, stuff like that. Also, the server shook my hand coming and going. Nice gesture but all I could think of was germs. Bathroom: Single-occupancy, upscale and nice. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up though. All in all, at decent restaurant but like I said, I had a bunch of small complaints that just added up, and it says a lot that my favorite course was the bread course. I would not repeat personally, but I think it might be worth a try for those that really love what's on the menu.
