Expresso Martini, scallops over sautéd spinach

This was my first visit and will definitely not be my last. Mardino's has a warm, family style atmosphere. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The scallops were absolutely amazing. Tasted as if they were caught that morning. I highly recommend.

What a lovely family restaurant. We came with a party of 8 and we were taken care of like family. The manager (owner?) brought us some fried zucchini to start our evening, they have a nice selection of wines and apps as well. The person next to me ordered fried mozzarella and shared with the table. Delicious and enough to go around! We ordered one of the daily specials, shrimp and scallops in a garlic over pasta. Big portion and quite good. Also, each dish came with a very nice side salad with a tasty Italian dressing. The guy next to me had Chicken Scarpariello that looked amazing, and across from me someone had Gnocchi (another fave). Our group ordered other dishes as well, I can't remember all of them, but no one was disappointed. And everyone was happy to bring their leftovers home ('cause you know, there are times when you don't like the food enough to bother with leftovers! This was so good people were already planning out their lunches for the next day!) At the end of the meal, the gracious manager brought the table Banana Cream Pie to share. WOW! Totally unexpected and incredibly kind! This was the real thing, not too sweet, and definitely had some sliced bananas nestled in the custard filling and real whipped cream. If you're looking for an Old Skool Italian restaurant where you can get great service, great food and good old home cooking, Mardino's is your new favorite spot!

Old school family owned restaurant with a friendly and attentive staff. Excellent homestyle Italian cooking also with a nice Seafood and Steak menu. Nonna would be proud of the tasty Sauce (Gravy)! I have been told that the proud Chef/ Owner has been there for 40+ years. A must go to if you are in the Mount Kisco area, you will glad you did!!

Last night, 11/10/23, we decided to give this place a try and we were extremely pleased. Salads were made with fresh ingredients and the house dressing was a tasty Italian vinaigrette. Julie had an order of baked ziti. The sauce was flavorly flawless. It had a robust and sweet palatableness. I opted for the rib eye steak special which was accompanied by corn on the half-cob and a portion of mashed potatoes. It came with a $44 price tag, a bit pricey, but the steak was mammoth-sized. It was extremely tasty, though the marinade was a little high in saltiness. The medium rare presentation was cooked to perfection. The corn was fresh and buttery. The mashed potatoes were a disappointment. They tasted old, not made from scratch, and while parts of it were hot, some were lukewarm. For dessert, we shared a slice of chocolate mousse cake, which was a captivating confection. It was very rich and satisfying for those with sweet teeth. The cappuccino was made too strongly. I drink Café Bustelo daily, so I have a genuine appreciation for strong coffee, but this cappuccino tasted bitter and undrinkable. Was it possible I received espresso instead? Our server was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, but I believe he was taking on too many tables. Another server may have been easier to handle this Friday night crowd. Bathroom definitely could use an update. Another item worth mentioning is, this place only takes reservations by phone and does not use applications like OPEN TABLE. Wholistically, the experience was enjoyable and this place has the capability of earning 5 stars, with a few refinements. We will likely return.

Food was great service not so much I was asked two times if I had a reservation which I did not. This is not Peter Lugers. This restaurant does not have a Michelin star. A bunch of empty tables outside the restaurant which I was seated . A big glass with 4oz of wine maybe 5oz. A whole bunch of bugs no citronella candle outside . The food took a whole lot of time for a salad and some pork chops. Bugs in my wine glass trying to drink for free and eat my pasta and my pork chop for free too... I understand outside dining but where's the outside repellent. The food is not cheap here at least make the customers comfortable I have posted the empty tables but I was asked if I had reservations not once but twice but customers who came after me was not asked the same question go figure.. the service was terrible .. took along time for the food a long time for the check to come a long time for a To go container. Very horrible service... the pork chop was good though but I will not be back until who knows.... Last but not least a bug in my grated cheese eating for free also. This was my first time in this establishment.

We had an exceptional meal here! This is definitely an old-school Italian restaurant. We were greeted by A warm and friendly waiter who seated us within minutes. We started off with cocktails, a hot antipasto and a bowl of escarole and bean soup. The Hot antipasto consisted of shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, baked oysters, eggplant, and baked clams. It was all perfectly done. The escarole and bean soup was beyond delicious, as if your grandmother made it. For entrées, we ordered chicken marsala and the special of sole stuffed with crab meat and shrimp. There are lots of specials at this restaurant, which the waiters know like the back of their hands! The complementary salads that arrived were cold and Crispy with a wonderful Italian vinaigrette. The entrées arrived piping hot, and beautifully plated. The chicken marsala had a rich and delicious sauce with mushrooms, just amazing! The sole was perfectly cooked with a wonderful seafood stuffing atop a bed of fresh spinach.YUM! Our waiter was extremely attentive, and replenished drinks and our bread basket throughout the meal. He recommended raspberry tartufo for dessert and he wasn't wrong! The tartufo was amazing, with a white chocolate shell, the perfect ending to a perfect meal. This place runs like a well oiled machine! Waiters are wonderful, very attentive, and they make sure you're happy.... And the food is outstanding! A wonderful experience overall!

If you want to have first rate top quality delicious food, then this is the place to go. We have ordered several different dishes here and all have been absolutely superb. Last night I had the Veal Parmigiana after sharing a Fried Calamari appetizer. The veal was cooked perfectly. It was tender and a nice portion as well. The sauce and cheese were also delicious. The calamari was also cooked perfectly and the side of sauce was superb if you like it a little spicy. My wife had a Shrimp and Scallop special served over linguine and cooked with a white wine garlic sauce. She asked for extra garlic and they delivered as asked. Superb to say the least. We ended with their world famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert. No better Banana Cream Pie anywhere. I made sure I saved room for this by taking home half my dinner. The restaurant ambiance is lively and the staff are over the top friendly. They have all been there for years and the place is full of regulars. Friday and Saturday nights are typically packed so reservations are day ahead are recommended. The only reason I can't give this gem of a restaurant a 5 is the place is somewhat dated and "could" use some refreshing. It is fine for myself and my wife as we care more about the food and friendly staff and it is clean inside but some could argue a 5 rating should meet each and every criteria.

Made a late reservation and luckily got in, what a great meal. The service by Gaetano "G" is always superb with great suggestions. They're chicken parm is always moist never a dried cutlet with great sauce and plenty of melt mozz. Their strip steak and shrimp scampi with a suggested brown sauce was awesome! This place is "Old school" Italian, the chicken paris so big I at it for lunch and dinner!

All I can say is, wow, I am very impressed. This place is as old school as it gets. You'll truly feel like you're back in time. The waiters are super funny and truly want you to feel at home. One of the few Italian restaurants where all the cooks and waiters are Italian, you know it's going to be authentic. The calamari was cooked perfectly and was made to order. The cold antipasto was freshly sliced with quality meats and cheeses. The linguine and clams was probably the best I've ever had. They actually use real clams and not the crap from a can. The staff knew it was my birthday and gave us a complimentary cake; the chef came out to sing and he sounds like Andrea Bocelli, no joke. Italian food as it was intended, fresh, and made from scratch. The prices were super reasonable considering the quality and portions. Definitely the best Italian spot around, Mardino's is a gem for sure.

On a Thursday night, our dinner started with ample amount of warm bread and breadsticks which were very good. We asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar to replace the butter. Server was very nice and accommodating. It seems the neighborhood love the place. We came past 5pm and we heard people already talking and laughing in the bar. Servers were attentive, water refills without asking for it. What we ordered- Fried calamari (the spicy sauce is to the die for) Mussels with marinara - Excellent (enormous serving) Veal sorentini - very good though a bit salty for my husband's taste Cappuccino-excellent Based on our experience, we are happy customers and we will come back. The price is so reasonable too. IMO , don't think this is a date place but definitely a nice place to have dinner with friends and family( indoor or outdoor).

Charted prime rib. Comes with 1 side. Effie and salad. Plenty of bread and butter is provided

This place really exceeded our expectations in every way…read more My sister and I stopped in on a chilly, overcast afternoon after dropping our mom off at Westchester Airport. Stone Fire was conveniently on the way home and we decided to give it a try. Appropriately, we walked in and the definition of "Hangry" was framed on the wall. We laughed and were greeted by who we presume is the owner. He said he would fix our "hanger" in no time and lead us to our table. The place wasn't very full, since we were there between the dinner and lunch rushes. The owner was incredibly attentive but didn't hover. We got the sense that he was proud of his menu and he explained some of the stand out items. He noted that all the pasta was made in house and that the "panuozzo" (which we intend to try next time) was made with their pizza dough. We both ordered the Shrimp Bisque to start. It was delicious and piping hot with a good amount of actual pieces of shrimp. I turned to ask for some black pepper, and realized the owner already had a large pepper mill in his hand, as if he had read our minds. Our server also brought out warm bread. Naturally, my sister ordered the Maccheroni Ala Vodka since the owner had mentioned the fresh pasta. It was cooked to a perfect al dente and was generously portioned. I decided to get their "Amalfi" stone fire pizza which included fior di latte cheese, prosciutto, summer squash, and delightful little piped dollops of lemon ricotta. The flavors were bright and delicous. The pizza dough itself was crispy, chewy, and lightly charred from the pizza oven. I would absolutely order it again if I wasn't eager to try so many other items on the menu. My sister and I both had enough leftover from our main meals to take them home for dinner. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and contemporary. Nicer than your typical pizza place. They have a sizeable patio and what looked like windows that open up like panels in the inside dining area, I guess when the weather permits it. We both agreed it would be nice to come back on a warmer day. All in all, we have absolutely no complaints about our meal. For two large bowls of shrimp bisque, the pasta dish, and my pizza (a little larger than a personal pan pizza size), and two sparkling waters, our lunch was around $100. Super reasonable in my opinion. Given the excellent food and superb service from both the owner and our waiter. We absolutely plan to come back when we are in the area. I guess our "hanger" was a blessing in disguise that day.

I came here with my family to spend time with the grandparents. The only negative things that I…read morewould have to say about my dining experience is how cold the restaurant was and that the margarita pizza was undercooked. The cheese and the sauce slid off the pizza when I picked up a slice. However, they were able to turn the heat up a little but we were still pretty chilly. I split the margarita pizza with my dad and the fish tacos. I also enjoyed the shishito peppers. Our waiter was really good and professional. Our drinks came quickly as well as our food. Our waiter helped me pick apples outside of the restaurant from the trees that were growing outside. I really enjoyed our dining experience and I know that I can speak for the rest of my family when I say that they did too. I know that if given the chance, I would be more than happy to come back to enjoy another dining experience at Stone Fire Italian.
