Another lovely dinner with the ENTIRE family. We came on Mother's Day for dinner and sat in a quiet off-shoot room. They had a special menu with loads of appetizers and of course, breads! I still love the fried calamari the best!! I had the giant shrimp oreganata over linguine. It was fine. The seafood ravioli (shrimp and crab) looked really good. After dinner there was an assortment of little Italian desserts. The plate was empty so everyone must've been happy. Again, super-Old Skool, great service.

Went here for a pre-Mothers Day brunch. Place is very old school, with the walls covered in pics of Sinatra, Marilyn, and various characters in Scorsese and Coppola films. My chicken francese was okay -- a bit too salty but passable. The restaurant was hosting two separate functions, with our table very close to one which featured a DJ, so every tine the doors opened we caught a blast of loud music. This happened repeatedly throughout our meal. I did see other seating areas and am unclear as to why we were placed so close to the loud function. That said, the men's room does feature a flatscreen just above the urinal (see pic) so I was able to watch the Yankees getting crushed as I did my business.

We had my son's baptism here 8 years ago and also had his first communion reception here this week! Service was great and food was delicious. You cannot listen to all the town rumors all the time. Support your local businesses! i am glad i did. The restaurant has been in town for many years. Edwin was great! Tommy will work with you on the menu.

This place my aunt picked to celebrate my other aunts birthday for a luncheon. Driving up the taconic parkway to get here was magical such beautiful fall foilage so i knew it was going to be a good day! I have been to Casa Rina numerous times each one for different family occassions for as long as i can remember. So coming here for something casual was nice. Plenty of options for family style. Fried calamari, eggplant were just some of my favorites. i loved the twin pork chops and the risotto the pumpkin pie martini was strong

The restaurant is small and cozy, wait staff was solid. They started with bread and oil which was a nice touch and offered a side soup or salad and both soups (Pasta e Fagioli & Lentil) were delicious. I ordered Eggplant from the pasta menu and received just a baked eggplant. The waiter took this opportunity to explain that it's accidentally under pasta (you would think upon ordering would be the best time to share this info ;). They were kind enough to bring me their other eggplant pasta. Penne, red sauce almost like a vodka sauce but darker and tiny bits of eggplant. My husband ordered rigatoni with meat sauce. He thought his was tasteless and I have to agree. Both dishes were passable but nothing to write home about. Their fish special however looked fantastic! I should probably share that growing up in the 80's near 18 Avenue in Brooklyn, I might be an Italian food snob! I'm not a good cook myself but I think I could have broiled pasta, opened up a jar of carbone and been just as happy with an extra $50 in my pocket, I might also be being harsh because this place gets superior ratings so we were hoping to be impressed and left disappointed.

We arrived and were seated immediately. The interior is very open but still cozy, with warm lighting and interesting decor. Our server was very friendly and conversational, which was a welcome change from before! We got the Chicken Marsala and Cavatelli with Broccoli Rabe. The mushrooms in the marsala were a bit soggy, but the chicken was really tasty and tender, and the sauce not too sweet. It also came with a potato croquette, which was fun and unexpected -- despite being southern Italian like a lot of other Italian-American things, I haven't really encountered them on the standard menu! The Cavatelli itself was fresh pasta and cooked to a satisfying al dente. The dish was somewhat bland, though, and could have benefited from more salt. The garlic was also a bit suspect (kinda tasteless, almost like the jarred pre-minced stuff). It was all also a bit watery, and the broccoli rabe a bit overcooked. A show stopper was the Creme Puff. It was delicious, approaching one of the best I've ever had. I wasn't a fan of the Hershey-like chocolate drizzle, but the pastry itself was super light and airy. We liked it so much we got another to go, in fact. Something to note was that, despite there being only one other table and only 2 of us, service was quite slow. I'm not sure how long it took for food to come out, but it was easily ~40 minutes. The experience overall, however, was nice! It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. If you're in the area, I'd recommend it. I'm in the area frequently, so I'll likely be back.
