I literally joined Yelp just to post this. Speaks volumes! On June 16, 2017 I placed an order for 3 subs for pick up (2 roast beef & 1 Italian). I picked them up but when I got home and opened them they had nothing on them. We had ordered everything on them except tomato, 2 had nothing and the Italian only had lettuce. I called and spoke with the manager, Bill Sears, he apologized and assured me he would give me a credit of $20.47, the amount we paid. I just called him to get the replacement order, he informed me that the owner had made those sandwiches that night, & said that they made them correctly and now they won't honor the $20.47 credit. Also, because I kept the sandwiches that day, I got a meal, no matter that it was wrong...I got the food. Seriously?!?!? Bill Sears was extremely rude about the entire matter and could've cared less that he had an unhappy (formerly loyal) customer. Best Tuna sub anywhere. Great pizza as well. Service.... You have to be willing to accept that something will be incorrect in your take out order at least every-other visit. Careful with your credit cards as well. Counter help NEVER checks signatures, they usually hand card back to customer before receipt is signed. Big chance for fraud here. Food prices are on the higher side but there are generally coupons available. Overall it is our first choice for pizza and subs, but if the quality ever drops, the service will be too hard to live with. read more

My favorite at lunch time is the Italian Subs which is pretty much all I order from here when I do. Best to order and eat at the shop verses placing order over the phone. I like to eat my sub when it is super fresh! All the toppings can make a sub soggy which is why I prefer and recommend eating there! read more

At a friends suggestion, I went and orderred a medium roast beef sub. The total was $8.68. No problem food is expensive. Got home and opened it up. The roll was nearly empty. I weighed the meat. just about 6 ounces. Basiclly I paid for a sub roll. I was lucky it made a half of sub. I called, and in any medium sub, you get 5 ounces of meat. Good Luck with that. Normally our go to place for great food and customers for years . Hands down awful service tonight. We ordered takeout and when we got home (20min drive) the sub was made wrong and the chicken dinner plate had two pieces of chicken. When we called back they said we were too far to deliver the correct food to and that if we wanted it remade we had to drive another 20min back to pick it up and bring the wrong food back...so we're stuck with a $25 meal with a sub we can't eat (allergic to something in the sub) and a chicken dinner plate that wouldn't feed my dog..great service read more

The food is decent but the employees are slow and rude. I ordered 2 cold subs and was told 45 minutes for pick up. Ok? Maybe they are really busy. I go in and waited another 30 minutes with my daughter. So I go up to The counter and was told it should only be a couple more minutes. 10 more mins went by. As I sat there and watched them hang out and listened to all thier drama filled stories. I went back up saying I just wanted my money back. The kid in the kitchen yelled at the counter girl ( who was the only one actually doing anything) he said you need to tell us when "they" come in. Great steak and cheese. Great Roast beef! The screwed up my order one day and I ended up with a fried bologna and cheese. They realized before I opened it and called. The place has been there for years. Always seems busy. Never had a bad meal there. From the pizza to the subs to the chicken tenderloin dinners. Seasonal specials and lunch value meals. The dining room is dated but that doesn't change how the food tastes does it? Recently had the pork sandwich. Honestly it was not what I expected. The pork was not pulled or shredded but sliced thin and small. Also, expecting it to be dripping in BBQ sauce. Not so, In fact very little sauce. And you know what ? It was fantastic. The pork was incredible that it really didn't need much sauce(which was good BTW). The staff can be a little overwhelmed at times. I need to write this and I do like to support the local businesses and do when I can. I ordered (phone, pick up) a steak and cheese with the works with NO PEPPERS (it said so on the slip too) recently. I picked it up and took it home. Mind you I do work from my home office at times when not traveling on the road as a RSM for a global company. When I got home the sub was so filled with peppers that as most know by just taking them out it still tastes like peppers with no taste of the onions/ mushrooms and cheese with steak that I want to taste. When I called I was told the Manager would exchange but I did not have the time to go back. I would have liked if offered a driver to send over the right one or I would get another one at a later date. I called back the next day and was again told by the manager that I needed to return the sub the day before to get an exchange. Being in sales for years I know it is not the responsibility of the purchaser to expect to get what was ordered, it is of the provider. There are just too many other places to go to that want my business! I think the manager (past or current co-owner so no excuses) should do everything within his reason to satisfy a customer not provide a reason not to return and relay how bad the service to others that may like to go. Good news travels moderately, but bad news in light-speed...too bad as Marcello's was one of the better places to go in the past! Gave my order for a simple Italian sub sandwich after waiting a few minutes too long from my point of view. It was 11:25 A.M. While waiting , the employees were talking amongst themselves and doing other things instead of taking care of my order. I received this sandwich at 11:40A.M. My husband loves this place, but i'm not impressed. Their offshoot Andy's seafood is better. Their pizza is beyond greasy, and the subs mediocre. The only thing I find it good for is my constipation. They no longer have quality ingredients. They definitely buy their chicken for their pizzas/calzones from the Chinese restaurant across the street, the scrap "chicken" that isn't good enough for the Chinese food. It tastes worse than the rats that I had to eat back in 'nam. Back in the day Marcello's was where you went for quality, now it's where you go if you run out of epecac and need to get something up. Yah, how the mighty have fallen.This place used to, I say "used to be good," but it is crap now. They have the worst service imaginable. Couple years ago I got washer in my pizza yah a big fender washer the size of a half dollar. Now being as how my family ordered from here twice a week you would think when I made such an accusation they would have believed me. Even after she came to my house and saw the burned in washer which caused a perfect browned washer picture on the crust. Wow, is all I could say! The food has always been very good at Marcello's; however, recently they stopped accepting an order that I have been placing for years. My husband and I have been ordering a half-pepperoni and half-buffalo chicken pizza at least once a month from Marcello's for the past few years. They are located very close to us and the convenience plus the quality have made it our go-to place for pizza. This week I was told that they would no longer accept any orders for half of their specialty pizzas but could not provide a significant reason other than management said so. While the pizza is quite good, there are several other places in town and nearby that serve up the same quality. I can't understand how a place with so much competition surrounding it would refuse orders, especially ones that put some extra money into their pockets. We will not be ordering from Marcello's again unless it's the only option. read more
