Grabbed some pizza and wings here and it was pretty much what you'd expect from a solid local spot. The food hit the mark--good flavor, hot and fresh. The pizza had a nice crust and the wings were cooked well, with decent sauce options. Service was okay--not bad, just kind of standard. Well I gave them another try even though I Never even got an apology about the steak Stromboli without steak. So the pizza was ok but the subs they don't put anything on the ends of their subs. So either end is just bread. read more

Basically one of the very few places open for dinner on a Monday night. Menu seemed okay and the website was functional. But definitely a disappointing take out experience. First, my order was complete and accurate, which was a good start. The pizza was just alright - crust wasn't too crispy and likely too many vegetables on it near the center, which made that part mushy and watery. But the biggest problem was the Mexican chicken salad, which was advertised as mixed greens (I got iceberg) and grilled chicken (I got clumps of deli meat). Just not quality ingredients I was expecting. Best thing I would recommend was the chicken Parm dinner, that was good. read more

Since my local mom and pop pizza place shut down Marcelo's is my 1st or 2nd pizza place to go to. Good crispy wings, the chicken fingers used to be banging but they changed them and they're horrible quality. But I can look past that cause the pizza wings fries sides are good. I like the cheese fries for my first side. Service is always quick, whoever working is tending to me is always nice and speedy. Marcello's is under NEW ownership/management and the new owner was born and raised in Italy so the sauce is more authentic Italian than most pizza shops. He works there daily so you know there is pride of ownership! The interior is all freshly redone with new tables and booths and bright open feel. The slices looked delicious even at 2pm, normally a time when food isn't as fresh since it's less busy. I got the caprese pizza with fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes and sautéed basil. Nice thin floppy slice with a tender crust and slight crunch. Wish I had ordered more! Will definitely be back to try the mango hab pizza, the shrimp and avocado sal and the yumminess that looked like an Italian grinder and a pizza crust had a baby. The East York location is the one I visit. Service has always been good. Only ate inside once, interior is rather sterile. Usually do pick up. Always accurate. Their special is excellent loaded with toppings and at a good price. Also good cheese pizza. read more

Oh my where do I begin. First off not all of these are affiliated with each other. So don't judge them as a whole. I like the food at marcello's. The problem I am having is that every single time I place an order here. It's wrong. Well tonight is my last time. I ordered a stuffed pizza. I got a cheese pile on a slice of paper thin crust. There was no top crust! Which is what makes it a stuffed pizza. When calling this establishment back and asking them to describe this item. They proceeded to tell me it's crust on top and bottom. When I asked why mine had no top crust they told me they were afraid it would burn. So to sum up. They sell you a product for a price but make it however they feel is ok. I've ordered from here several times. Always disappointed with some major mistake on the order. read more

Tried out the pizza place for the first time. I called in an order for pickup. The person answering the phone didn't seem to know the computer system too well and it took some time to order a large plain, veggie and pepperoni - items that you would have thought easy to order. I forgot to order breadsticks so I called back. I was surprised to find that they cost $6 for an order of plain breadsticks, but maybe they would be spectacular or something. I was about 10 minutes late for pickup. My fault but the pizza boxes just didn't seem that hot when I got there. I asked for napkins and got pointed to the one at a time dispenser, kind of dumb when they could handed me a stack for 10 people. When i put the pizza in my truck there was a strange smell. It wasn't pizza, it turned out to be the pizza boxes. Kind of like wet socks. The pizza flavor was ok but all 3 of them had raw dough in the middle. Disappointing - hence the 2 stars. The breadsticks were a bit of a joke. An order of 6 dried out torpedoes of bread with a cup of sauce. Overpriced because the quality was so low. 2 orders cost more than a large cheese pizza! Marcellos is very family friendly. The prices are fair and they have amazing coupons and deals. That's food is amazing, especially the pizza and hamburgers, but it's waiting time is decent, not bad, nor perfect, but half. The man who owns it is very generous and is very kind and respectful. Typically, I like their food. Unfortunately, 2 out of the last 3 times we've ordered from there we've had unwanted items in our food (my son's food). The first time it was a red sticker - like an expiration date kind of sticker. Yesterday, we found staples (like 7 stuck together) in my son's side Caesar salad. We ordered a stuffed crust pizza tonight well done when we got our delivery I handed a five dollar tip the delivery guy and said happy holidays he was super nice we open the stuff crust pizza and there's no crust on top the pizza isn't even done it's maybe just 1/8 of an inch The crust and the pizza itself is not done we ordered it well done there is no top on the pizza all it is is a big glob of cheese with a couple pepperonis I called back into Pizza Shoppe and before I said pick up or delivery I asked the girl who answered what exactly is your stuff crust pizza and she explained it as crust on the bottom crust on the top and all the goodies on the inside so then I proceed to tell her that we just placed an order we did not get a stuffed crust pizza but you already got our money you already got a five dollar tip for the delivery driver...And then the girl tried to give me an excuse as to why you asked her to be well done and we didn't want to burn the top of your stuff crust pizza then I asked for the manager and he tried to justify why there was any crust on the bottom read more

I was there, last night to pick up a take out order. I arrived just in time to see a young male plop my pizza on the floor from the oven. OOPs, we will have to make a new one. No free drink or anything was offered while I waited. I arrived at 5:20, finally at 6:00. I was on my way out the door, did I hear any sorry about your wait, or we took some money off for your patience??? OH NO. And then I arrived home with my pizza. The crust was burnt so black that the whole pizza tasted like charcoal.Even the toppings smelled and tasted burnt. So, I will never return, too many other good options.
