    Cobb Salad

Fantastic. Love a good rich French dinner but for breakfast and lunch, this place is the best food we found while in Paris. Fresh, delicious, healthy, lots of great options. Cobb Salad, eggs Benedict, fantastic coffee. The best service, fun helpful staff. So good we came back 2 days in a row.

Visiting Paris my auntie recommended we stop in for a light lunch of salads. INCREDIBLE!!! From the iced tea to the fresh salads we got. Can't wait to come back! Very pricey ($74 for salads and 3 teas but well worth!!)

Ability to reserve for brunch? Excellent. Table was ready on time, service however was a bit slow and lax (rude) at times. Several requests for water, even dared to say we had one already? (Half empty bottle from previous table and no glasses??) Eggs Benedict was good, 'correct mais sans plus'. Some green salad on the side would have upped their game. Also, it was lukewarm at best. Prices were standard for Paris, I think 13€ for the eggs and 5€ the cranberry juice. Decent place for brunch, wouldn't go out of my way for it though (aka my 40 min trek across Paris!)

Hands down, without a doubt, the best French toast I have ever had. It was so insanely moist and delicious. The toffee sauce was excellent when mixed with the banana. I don't think I have ever tasted a French toast quite like Marcel's. The place to go for French toast in France

Let me begin by saying that I already want to go back to eat here because my Pain Perdu (French toast for my fellow Americans) was off the wall delicious. It's not a stunner when you photograph it, but it tastes unlike other pain perdu I have had in Paris! When I ate here it was not crowded at all, but I arrived right when it opened in the middle of the week. The servers were extremely nice and they encouraged my American friend to practice his French while ordering and I found their patience to be extremely kind and refreshing. French servers are notorious for being rude, but they're very nice at Marcel! I really enjoyed the minimalist decor, the location in a quiet street in the 7th arrondissement, and the lack of fuss of making the food look perfect. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because the price is a bit high; my pain perdu by itself was 13 euros. Then again, eating in the 7th is bound to make a dent in your wallet. Great place!

I went there to have brunch. YEAH it was Nice but the most amazing part was their café crème !!!!! Frankly speaking, I didn't hâve any expectation but....their café was deep and profond , and the crème was...zut my humble word cannot even describe! I thought I was sipping a cloud! Fantastique ! Leur café crème !! J'ai craqué à mort!!!

    Pancakes

Took the halloumi sandwich and the pancakes. Both really good! Nothing to complain about, not cheap but still not expensive. Kinda small restaurant though so you might have to wait for a table. Great orange juice too

Terribly overpriced. We paid over 100 Euros for 4 meals. I had avocado toast and it was good but not worth what I paid.

Sadly, the baguette was kind of mushy and not crispy. I did not enjoy the flavor compared to the other ones I've had in the neighborhood. I really wanted to love it... since I noticed several people walking down the street eating a baguette from here with the Merci Jerome bag in hand. Frankly, it was not my favorite and I ditched it after only one bite.

The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. I would come back for the pleasant experience - try out Merci Jérôme!

I had a mimosa also which was 20 euros (too much). There is a long wait for a table at Carette as it's become very popular thanks to Tik Tok and IG. We stood in light for about 30 minutes. The staff does a great job of keeping things moving as quickly as possible, but they can only do so much as people are relaxed while enjoying their hot chocolate and treats. We noticed several tables around us getting strawberries and cream which looked amanzing but the price of this was not listed anywhere in the menu so we opted to not be sticker shocked any further (a-hem 20 euros for one glass of mimosa). Ultimately, Carette offers delicious hot chocolate and it's great to say that you went there, but I can't imagine having hot chocolate in 90 degree farenheit weather outside, after standing in line for 30 minutes, but do you boo! When in Paris...

This is a unique dining experience for breakfast as it was a 2 course breakfast meal with orange juice. The first course was an omelet, potatoes, and salad, and the second course was a large fluffy pancake and side of mixed fruit. Everything was great! The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
