Be careful, this restaurant is addictive! Avocado toast is one of the best I've ever tried!

A Californian restaurant in the heart of Paris. What's that gonna be like? Well, pretty goddamn good and a wild one even though it mightn't be on the waterfront.. They served me up a very tasty burger that Apocalypsed my tastebuds with rosemary fries and some avocado. Top off this gastronomic tango with a fine glas of California Cabernet Sauvignon straight from Francis Ford Coppola's vineyard.

We went there because the yelp reviews looked so good. But I have to say we were quiet disappointed. The restaurant was empty and yet we had to wait for a long time. My friends ordered tap water that never arrived, and the staff wasn't really paying attention to us so we couldn't remind them. I've ordered juice and it was served in room temperature. One of my friends and I ordered the "Mexican Cobb" Salad which was nice, yet i expected more chicken for the 18 Euros we paid. The Cuban Club Sandwich was so bad that my friend only ate half of it and had to throw up later - it was basically just a a lot of ham with cheese and mustard - not really what you expect of a club sandwich! The fries served with the sandwich were soggy and cold:( so all in all a it was a bad experience.

First of all, our friend recommended this place as literally the best burger in Paris. Can i just say that this burger is far from the best. I'm a big enthusiast of burgers but i could only eat one third of it, which says a lot. My boyfriend ordered chicken , which came as like 3 small pieces but had a price tag of 16€ which is absolutely ridiculous for a 'cool brunch hangout aka hipster bar' to have. Basically i do not recommend this place. Go into almost any bar, restaurant in Paris you ll get better food for less money.

Sadly, the baguette was kind of mushy and not crispy. I did not enjoy the flavor compared to the other ones I've had in the neighborhood. I really wanted to love it... since I noticed several people walking down the street eating a baguette from here with the Merci Jerome bag in hand. Frankly, it was not my favorite and I ditched it after only one bite.

The croque monsieur had a generous pile of gruyère melted on the sides of the bread with a proportional amount of meat and filling on the inside. With the croque monsieur warmed up, it made a perfect brunch meal with the ube latte. The ube latte is exactly what you would expect but crafted carefully. I would just go back for this delightfully warm concoction in the morning. The service to go along with this made this experience more pleasant as it seems most of the employees were filipinos. They were quick to receive you and leave you beyond satisfied. The shop exudes the classic parisian aesthetic that most people would romanticize and I am glad I experienced it. I would come back for the pleasant experience - try out Merci Jérôme!

I had a mimosa also which was 20 euros (too much). There is a long wait for a table at Carette as it's become very popular thanks to Tik Tok and IG. We stood in light for about 30 minutes. The staff does a great job of keeping things moving as quickly as possible, but they can only do so much as people are relaxed while enjoying their hot chocolate and treats. We noticed several tables around us getting strawberries and cream which looked amanzing but the price of this was not listed anywhere in the menu so we opted to not be sticker shocked any further (a-hem 20 euros for one glass of mimosa). Ultimately, Carette offers delicious hot chocolate and it's great to say that you went there, but I can't imagine having hot chocolate in 90 degree farenheit weather outside, after standing in line for 30 minutes, but do you boo! When in Paris...

This is a unique dining experience for breakfast as it was a 2 course breakfast meal with orange juice. The first course was an omelet, potatoes, and salad, and the second course was a large fluffy pancake and side of mixed fruit. Everything was great! The owner is straight forward to warn larger groups of the small tight spaces up top and wards off any NBA players without helmets as their is low clearance upstairs. The menu is all French and limited English by the servers but it's easy enough to navigate. We came with 5 for Sunday brunch and sat right away but one had to sort of share space at the table. We ordered mixes of omelettes and Benedicts. All came with nice small whole potatoes and a little sour cream. You can modify or add quite a bit. Eggs are your choice of style ultimately and apparently the brunch includes pancakes. We were confused by that and they come after you've eaten the other items. I'm not sure if we paid for that or not but we chose to move on without. It came with your choice of tea or coffee AND a small orange juice. The eggs were cooked very delicately and moist with cheese and good meat in the omelette. Overall it was a fine breakfast compared to croissants and coffee but a little expensive.
