That was @1215 so you Probably want to have a reservation if you are going for lunch. It looks like there are lunch specials that are reasonable and include 3 courses. If I understood them I probably would have done that over Nicole's salad. That was ok but I guess Nicole's is what it is no matter where you are. Crème brûlée was fantastic and just the right size. Custard was light and sweet. The sugar on top was not too thick, just the perfect amount of glaze. And everybody was so so hospitable. For our last breakfast in Europe before heading back to the states, we decided to stop at Aux Cerises. For €18, my boyfriend and I split some scrambled eggs, toast, ham, and a small side salad. This breakfast came with one hot beverage and my boyfriend opted for an espresso. It was nothing spectacular but it fed us and that's all we could have asked for. I thought they would have had a wider breakfast selection since I saw an option for a "grand brunch" breakfast that came with croissants and other pastries. By far one of the best brunches I have had in a while. The atmosphere is charming and the staff was friendly and attentive. We didn't have reservations, fortunately it wasn't a problem. I got the brunch with salmon Benedict it was tasty. You get a basket full of breads, pastries, croissants, jams and butter. Wonderful weekend brunch spot near the Eiffel Tower. First time visitors to Paris, our group was looking for brunch near the Eiffel Tower and stumbled into Aux Cerises. The servers were very friendly and spoke excellent English (although they enjoyed our hodge-podge attempts at French). As for food; we decided to opt into brunch as our heavy meal for the day and went with the weekend brunch prix fixe menu. 'Le Monsieur' included a hot drink, a cocktail (bloody mary or mimosa), eggs benedict with your choice of meat, a very large bread basket with all the spread fixings, and a dessert. The coffees and cocktails came out immediately - and our bartender was so nice as to bring us Worcester sauce as he said they don't use it in bloody mary's in France, but he knows that we do in the USA (thoughtful). The bread basket was really generous with jams, butters and different types of breads (including pain au chocolat). The eggs benedict, served with roasted potatoes and salad, was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. We were stuffed after that, and decided to split one of the desserts. The server insisted we take the other two home (they were chocolate lava cakes - not sure the French way of saying that), as we had already paid for them. One thing: it did take a while to flag someone down for the bill, but I wouldn't dock them for that, as dining is an 'experience' while abroad :) I give this place 5 stars for the wonderful staff, great location near the Eiffel Tower, and the tasty (and VERY generously portioned) menu. Came here with friends while visiting from the states. I ordered their filet with mashed potatoes and carrots. To my surprise, it was turkey with mashed potatoes and a purée of carrots on top. I felt like I was eating baby food. But I should've known something was up when the price for the "filet" was only $15. My friend ordered their spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was good but her meatballs weren't cooked all the way through. So she couldn't eat oh in its entirety. Aside from the food, the service was amazing. 1. Walked through the door a few minutes after it opened in the morning to an empty restaurant. 2. The woman who greeted us asked if we had reservations. We said no. She looked around the restaurant as if looking for a seat (let me repeat, this restaurant was EMPTY), lifted a sack of flour or something similar off of the seat at a table nearest the cutting boards and said ok, and seated us at that table. 3. Two men walk into the restaurant and she asks them if they have reservations. One of the men speaks to her in French and says no (the other man was speaking English when they walked in) and she tells them that they can sit wherever they want. 4. A man, woman, and cat in a carrier (yes, you read that correctly, a cat, that would eventually moan and groan through our entire breakfast) walk in, she asks them if they have reservations and they both tell her no in French. Yes - you guessed it - she waves around the room and tells them they can sit anywhere... We never once experienced this bias towards Americans ANYWHERE else in Paris - ever. I had avocado toast (regardless of my anger, I've had better avocado toast and DID eventually have THE best avocado toast at a friendly diner (look it up) in Paris and hubby got pancakes (pancakes in Paris are really really sweet and then you put syrup on them and they are even sweeter). I would like to just say that the lady who was managing the whole place on her own was very kind and spoke every language in the book Spanish English, she spoke it all. She was also very kind for French standards. She was the only one serving all the tables, making coffees, smoothies, everything. Now on to the food, the food was good, I had eggs Benedict and they were good, they were not great but just good. My husband had an omelet and we ordered coffee and a chocolate croissant. Came here for early morning breakfast with my love and by early morning I mean 10 AM. We had quite possibly the best cappuccinos I've ever had in my entire life. This place is absolutely adorable with great scenery great ambience and most of all great service. I ordered the ham eggs Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. When I really love about this place is that attention to details outside there are heaters and small blankets for people who want to enjoy the scenery but don't necessarily want to get cold. My soft boiled egg was so good. The egg was slightly sweet, fresh and was just perfect with a dash of salt and pepper. My smoked salmon was delicious as well. Can't you tell I was hungry? Pineapple, orange, banana, raspberry and honey: perfectly sweet and refreshing. This 7,00 € juice is included in the meal. My cappuccino (regular price 5,00 €) was not bad either. Technically the meal itself is only 9,00 €. What a steal! Le grand brunch (28,00 €): hot drink of your choice, smoothie or juice, basket of bread and mini croissant, platter of smoked salmon or selection of ham, eggs (scrambled, fried, soft-boiled or benedict), fresh fruit salad or pastry of your choice. The coffee latte (regular price 4,59 €) and orange-apple-banana-strawberry smoothie (regular price 7,00 €) completed the delicious meal. The place is so cozy and friendly. Service is fast, accommodating and polite. The downsides of the place are that the teas are made using a single-use bags, a selection of teas from a wholesale Rungis vendor would move the place up significantly, without actually increasing the expense (I was friends with a manager of a Japanese tea and coffee place), and that somehow the table where we sat was sticky, the teapot holders dirty and there was a half-empty open sugar and a piece of dried out cheesecake in our sugar tray. read more
