My son enjoyed his grilled salmon though he didn't eat the topping or salad that came with it. The "focaccia bread" looked to be pizza dough cut into wedges before baking. The chicken portion was just right, the light sauce was very pleasing as it was tasty and no irritating to my sensitive stomach so this was a ++. If anything, I was definitely surprised by the limited variety of food, but the taste was oh so wonderful. I definitely enjoyed having my Beef Bourguignon served to me in a tiny Le Creuset cast iron. You can only imagine how thick yet saucy the au jus was as well as how perfectly fluffy the sliced potatoes were. It was definitely droolworthy to say the least. My partner in crime ordered the duck and it was tenderly cooked to perfection! The rest of our party proceeded to order a salad, chips & guac, pizza, pasta, and I believe the steak. All the items were a must try! I also enjoyed seeing locals pop in and out just to have a shot of espresso from their machine. I wished I had known about this place last year, as this would have been my go to spot for the duck, steak, and beef bourguignon. Their alcoholic drinks packed a punch although I don't recall the names of the drinks we had, as well as the wine selection we chose. if you're ever looking for a small, group friendly restaurant, this is a must go! The kicker was the peach flavored tea that came in huuuge glass beer steins that was sweet and cost 38 Eur for the pair!! This was a place we found when tree place we had planned to go to wasn't open when we got there. It was 1 pm and we hadn't had breakfast, so kids and husband very hangry. I had the warm goat cheese salad (very good) and the pizza was big enough for the kids to split and have left overs. We asked for the margarita pizza to not have olives , but it came with them. We noticed they had a nice tv inside with soccer on, so we decided to stay for dinner and moved inside later in the night to watch the juve - inter match. My friends and I were ready for lunch after visiting the Eiffel Tower on a Thursday(August 15,2019). I have not flown by a plane since COVID. Just putting it out there. Most restaurants nearby were closed, because they only opened for dinner. We decided to try Carmine, because they had a special of an appetizer and entree or entree and dessert. I believe it was 17.90 euros, but my memory isn't always accurate. We sat outside and dined. I ended up choosing the entree and dessert, because what's a meal without dessert? Also, it was a super hot day. As much as I wanted to try the pot roast, I didn't because of the temperature. My friend loved it though! I went with mussels and frites. The mussels were alright. They were kind of bland, but they were really fresh. The fries were nice, crispy, and salted. The bourbon cream brûlée was delicious! My favorite part of the meal. The top layer was perfectly crisp/torched. The bourbon wasn't over powering and you tasted all of the flavors. Our server was super sweet! I wish I remembered his name, but with us non fluent foreigners he accommodated us with the English he did know. Service was great. If I ever find myself back is Paris, I'd try the roast. read more

This is a cool little cafe near the Eiffel Tower. We chose it because we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower light up in the evening. After a quick Google search about where the best places were to see the tower, a blog post suggested the street where Carmine's is. I plugged in the street on Yelp, and chose a cafe. We ordered profiterole, and it was good. It wasn't the best I'd ever tasted, but it was okay. The service was quick, but our waitress did forgot about us. However, she wasn't rude or anything. The min we walked in we loved the look and ambience of this spot. The server is super nice. He speaks a bit English and that is so helpful. The way he helped us just showed how friendly or how much of a good day he's having so thank you server. The bartender has a specialty drink called "Atlantis" it's damn good! Kudos to the bartender . My boyfriend and I (Americans) were craving some good ole pizza and beer after being in Paris for a week so we walked on over to Carmine. The pizza was big and looked delicious. I got the "Four Seasons" pizza and a Heineken. Never thought I'd say this, but the pizza was too cheesy for me. Like, the stringy kind that made me feel like I was going to choke on it. This cafe saved us from the pouring rain and also a great stop for some dinner or late night eats...it's open until 2 am! My hubby and I did a quick stopover in Paris for a night before heading to Greece and we had a wonderful dinner here. We had escargot, steak frites, onion soup, and foie gras with a nice French wine. Perfect spot to be close to the Eiffel Tower to see it sparkle at night!! This place was awesome! It was really cute inside and the food was awesome! Lots of variety. Our waiter was awesome and really friendly. We chose this place so we could be close to the Eiffel Tower to see it at a distance for when it sparkles at night. It was a less than 5 minute walk from the restaurant to where you can see the Eiffel Tower. There are restaurants closer to the Eiffel Tower but we ultimately chose this to be away from the crowds and it was perfect! *pro tip: the Eiffel towers sparkles at the top of each hour for 5 minutes from sundown until about 1 or 2 am. So if the sunsets at 8:50 pm the first "show" will be at 9:00 pm and last until 9:05 pm. The next "show" will then be at 10 pm and so on read more

The atmosphere was warm and homey, plus it's about twelve minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. First time to Paris from LA, so prior to I researched every go to hip and also hidden spot for food. I ate at some of the best and most expensive Michelin/zaggat rated places in town. All were fantastic, but this place was as good for the following things I Ordered (I am basing this review solely on that) : the hot stone beef that's served to cook at your table with two dipping sauces and the French onion soup. I came back twice just for that meal in the two weeks I was in Paris. I highly recommend those two items for the price and the taste. My gf had the risotto.
