At first, I was amazed at the selection. I was there for a couple hours just trying to find the right granite for my kitchen. Once found, I scheduled an appointment for a measurement and tech arrived promptly. I asked for a specific install date and they made it happen. Installation was flawless, very professional, very respectful of my house and the techs cleaned up after themselves. The granite is beautiful and I love coming home to my new kitchen look daily. ordere new counters and had them installed they had noticable scrathes in the surfaces and the hole for disposall switch not even there was i was told this was my fault. because i signed off thinking it would be taken care of. this has been the worst customer service ever. beware they want payment up front which leaves you at a disadvantage when trying to a resolution. read more

Our experience with them was terrible, first the guy measured wrong, and the counter was off by 10 inches(short). This was the first sign of trouble. Sorry, the first sign of trouble is when they demand full payment before the install. Then, the evening before the install, scheduled for the 4/10, they call and say they need the stove top for an accurate measurement but that will delay it until Saturday the 11th. They did show up and this is when we found out it was too short. They installed 2 of the 4 counters but had to take the other 2 back to the shop with them. I called on the 13th and they said it would be ready by the 17th. I called on the 17th and was told it would not be ready until the 20th. Again, they did not show up on the 20th. Finally, they showed up on the 21st and installed the counter. So, on the 11th they tore out the existing counters/sink/stove and now it is 10 days with no kitchen. Throughout this time all the communication was one way. Me, calling them to find out what the hell was going on. Now they were always polite, "Oh we will work with you" More BS. There was no sense of customer satisfaction for our inconvenience of missing work and having to arrange multiple people's schedule to accommodate them. nightmare installation by a couple of intoxicated installers.. It was measured and cut wrong . Farhed the owner would not come see problems or stand behind his work. I read the reviews of MBD, so I went up to speak to them , and I decided to use them. The design and cut out was beautiful, and the installers were polite and professional. the only glitch was a mis-understanding about a couple of backsplashs that did not get cut. After a heated dicussion, which I must have started, the problem is being resolved. Farhan was very helpful in the layout, showing us the possible cracks in our stone and where it should be cut. Since we purchased our stone elsewhere he was invested in making our counters look great. Very nerve wracking to put up thousands up front and I thought I saw something on their website that they acceot credit cards but I guess not. Over all I recommend them highly read more

The installation experience of my countertops went smooth. They had to come back to fix a knick in the counter, once complete and after I had signed off I noticed the tech that fixed the counter hit my new stainless steel sink with his grinder. A date was scheduled for them to come and fix the sink. On the date chosen, I spoke with the receptionist and had questions as to how the sink would be fixed. She could not answer my questions and stated the owner would be giving me a call. My questions were relevant because if the fix looked worse, the new counter would need to removed due to it being an under counter farm sink. New date was scheduled. Present day (1/13), unfortunately I had a work meeting and made sure someone would be home in my absence for the appointment between 2-4P. Tech calls after 4P, shortly after the owner calls me for the first time and the conversation turns hostile and it ends in him hanging up with no resolution. One bad interaction turns the entire experience into a negative one. If your looking for customer service, look elsewhere. read more

Run fast. This is by far the worst most scary company to deal with. They installed our island with a complete crack down the middle that they repaired and then lied about it. We were threatened to take down our review and were also threatened that someone would come to our workplace and ruin our reputation. This was a horrible experience and we are reminded every day of it by seeing the crack in our island and many, many marks from water damage from the counters being in storage. I scheduled for installation of new countertops my 3 bathrooms and kitchen on a Friday, two weeks in advance. Got a call the Wednesday before, first saying them didn't have a crew to come on Friday. When I expressed my displeasure about them postponing the installation, she added that they hadn't finished the fabricating anyway, so they couldn't come because of that as well. I felt this employee was rude and never offered an apology and even a minor compensation. I asked her several times to speak with the owner and she ignored my request. I advised her that I had to take 2 days off from work, one for the installation and the other for the plumber to come and reinstall the faucets. I expalined to her I would have to take 2 more days off from work because of them and that fell on death ears. I rescheduled for the following Friday at 10:00am, around 10:30am, when nobody showed, I called the store. I must have called 4-5 times and the phone just kept ringing. I finally was able to reach her and asked her where the installers were and she advised me that they don't give specific appointment times, just a range from 10:00a to 4:00pm. I was never advised of that and was extremely frustrated by her attitude and unemphatic tone. I asked again, several times to speak with the owner and was ignored. She finally stated that she would have him call me, which he never did. The installers showed up around 10:50am. The installers left a huge mess in the areas where they worked, sharp particles from the old countertops were all over the floor, the pieces of granite that were cut to drill faucets holes were left under the sink. They damaged several areas of the my drywall, broke off several of my one inch tiles in my kitchen and never said anything to me about that. The lost my screws for my electrical outlets. They also lost one of my sinks pee traps. I highly advise if you ignore this warning about this company and buy from this store to do a thoroughinspection of their work before they leave. I noticed after they left that either the guy who measured for the template or the fabricator, didn't get the measurements correct. They shorted them. The installers tried to hide that by putting caulk to fill the gaps. Overall this experience was horrible, to spend thousands of dollars and get treated like crap. I highly recommend you find another company to buy and install your countertops. You may have to pay more money but to me it would be worth it. It seems like once they got my money and relaionship went downhill. This was an very unpleasant encounter and would would NEVER recommend them to anyone. No where in the ad does it state there is an additional $35 per square foot for installation. Generally when granite prices are advertised, that price includes basic install but not here. Beware!!! This is the most dishonest and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. The owner is deceitful, rude and made reckless threats. The installers were as disrespectful and incompetent as the owner. The joke of installers broke my countertop while installing it. The lied about it. This dishon comp any requires cash in full upfront; so customers have no leverage in protecting their purchase. After a week the replacement top was ready. They arrived unannounced at my home with an unconfirmed appointment. They would not give us time to put up plastic to protect our home from all their dust from cutting the countertop on-site. They left upset without doing any work: they came back the following week and I was charged a $300 reschedule fee; even though it was their error. The second group of installers were ruder and more ignorant than the first. They made a total mess of my home with dust and construction waste and did zero clean up. We ripped off all old counters and then received a call the day of install stating that power on their cutting machine was out and had been for the past four days. If it was out for the past four days, why wait till that day, after we had just ripped out counters and disconnected plumbing to tell us?! Also, when the marble arrived it had multiple chips and cracks in it. When they were installing the marble, I noticed that they weren't even scraping off the old cocking. When I told them that wasn't right because the marble needed a flat surface, the guy said "that's not our problem." Beware of this shady company! This company saw my bad review that was well deserved. They called me and threatened to create a fake bill, and put a lean on our house. They are CRIMINALS!!!! No we will not take down reviews. I decided on Marble Builders Direct because they offered the Quartz my wife liked (special order) a little cheaper than the two previous places. After paying the total price (material & labor) up front and signing a disclosure that stated the material is 'as-is' because of the inherent defects of natural stone and waiting several weeks for the install, they cancelled the install 1-hour prior to our appointment. Unfortunately, by that time, I had disassembled my kitchen in preparation of the install by removing everything from the lower cabinets, removing the cooktop, removing the kitchen sink and plumbing and had the tile installers scheduled for the following day to complete the backsplash. Feeling concerned at this point, I drove to Marble Builders to physically see if my Quartz was even ready. As I arrived, the owner Farhad was actually working on my order. I expressed my concern about the install being postponed and he looked me in the eyes, shook my hand and assured me my job would be completed the following day. Following day: I received a call from Marble Buildings asking me if they could come a little earlier than scheduled to install. YES! They arrived when they said they would. There was a senior journeyman granite installer with two apprentices. Under careful instructions, the apprentices did a remarkable job. They worked with power tools, heavy stone and precision measuring with ease. My counter is beautiful! The installation was professional, lay-out was precise, price was competitive, they did what they said they would do and I am completely satisfied. I'm giving Marble Builders 4 stars (-1) because they postponed my first install date and after removing the old countertop, forgot to take it with them (not a big deal) Overall - you could trust Marble Builders and shop with confidence. Not sure how they get any business considering it is like pulling teeth to even get a response from their office. Basically wasted 2 weeks of my time attempting to get a quote from this company, to still not even have an accurate quote. I was very excited for this slab of granite I found and was ready to purchase the same day if they could provide a quote. Unfortunately over 10 days later and have had to make 4 phone calls, and 2 e-mails to basically have a lady in the office ramble off a ridiculous number to get us off the phone. $1500 with NO installation, for a 18 sq foot piece of granite that was supposedly on sale for $33 a square foot, not sure how that math adds up, but again I am pretty sure she rambled off a number to just get us off the phone. We liked the piece of granite so much that we still most likely would have done business with this company if the quote wasn't so ridiculous, however considering it took THIS long to even get a quote I am sure attempting to set up installation with this company is NIGHTMARE!! With that being said all you have to do is not only read my review and the other people's review but call the police station located in this district and ask them how many complaints are on file about this joke of a place and then you will see it's not the place to give your money to. I have never encountered a business owner that was so unprofessional with his lies, idle threats, and holding on to a my deposit that he has no right too. I went to the company for an estimate back in January. They required a deposit even before coming out to measure (huge red flag:::biggest mistake of mine for ever giving them a deposit of $2900). They came out to measure. The revised estimate was way more then I estimated by roughly $1000. We couldn't agree on the revised measurements. So between back and forth of talking; I decided to not do the job at all. He threatened me with a mechanic lien. Which doesn't not apply...good scare tactic. He was refusing to give me back my deposit! After of a couple of wks of hounding him for my deposit; he tried to tell me was going to deduct outrageous charges from my deposit. I just wanted my deposit back and run far away from him and this business. I was done of waiting around, being polite and hoping he would do the right thing and give me back my money. He was dragging his feet on giving me my deposit then his crazy fees. So I ended up taking him to court in March and won my judgement. Clearly he had no right to hold or keep my deposit of 2900$. Its been over a month since i won my judgement. He has made no attempt to pay me my money. I txted him and he said he would send the a check. Stay away! I wish I had looked at reviews before buying from this place. I bought a quartizide countertop. It was beautiful in the showroom. After install and cleaning it off I noticed what looks like water droplets all over it. So I drove back to the warehouse to look at the same 1 I bought. And after closely inspecting it; it has the same bleary water spots. So, I spent 2000 on something that looks like crap. Beware also the true cost they advertise a cheap price for the stone but then tack on additional money for install; it is misleading. Also, you have to pay the whole thing up front so u r at their mercy. Be aware that they push their own sinks. You get no paperwork or warranty or anything on the sink. The younger salesperson is rude and half the time didn't where the required mask for covid prevention. You can pay roughly the same amount at Lowes and at least there you have some recourse. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Please read the reviews on this company. My experience was no different but I was able to get away from this deal but had to pay to cancel. My story starts with an order at around 1pm on a Saturday, I did not feel comfortable when I walked up to the door and it said no pictures or videos but I thought they had a great deal until I was surprised by the install fee which made this place the same price as others, but I decided to move forward anyway, I could kick myself for that decision. Sunday I had a personal situation which would have me put EVERYTHING on hold including this. Monday I called just before noon to cancel the order and the response I got on the phone threw up a red flag, she said you need to talk to the owner and he would call you back. I didn't feel quite comfortable with her response and was like, oh boy... so I got online and researched and WOW!!!! Everything from threatening text messages to bad workmanship, delays in job, you name it... Now I was in major concern after I looked at the invoice and it stated no refund... I called back Monday afternoon to talk to this Farhad, and got the same response again, he will call you back, the girl on the phone said he has to talk to me she can't. He eventually called me back on Tuesday and I explained to him that I just had a personal hardship and I needed to cancel the order, it had been only 6 hours of a business day when placing the order and calling to cancel and they had DONE NOTHING other than except my down payment of $1500. I asked him for some compassion and humanity that his decision would define the future, he said he would need to talk to his partners and get back with me, he said send him an email, which I did. He responded to my email and basically said that even though they did not do any measure or cutting, contract states no refunds and danced about some things they were throwing in like sink cut out for cutting boards and upgraded edging, which is not relevant, they still did not do anything other than some ink to paper for the invoice. He response to cancel, $150!!!! $150 for doing nothing, but you know what, given what, getting FAR AWAY from this company, it was worth it. So, if you decide you want to deal with this person even after you have read this and all the other feedback, ask for a $150 discount, shouldn't be a big deal to him, he didn't do anything to deserve it. read more

stay away. i ordered and paid for a small slab of onyx. i was told it would be ready in seven to ten days. 3 1/2 weeks later i called. Oh, their saw is broken. Call in a couple of days. OK, saw is still broken. I sent an email - it needs to be done by Saturday or cancel order & refund money. Two days later I get both a call & email - it is ready - come in a few hours. No, I'll see you Saturday. Ok, it's now Saturday, i am ready to pick up. Guess what - still not cut. Come back in a few hours. NO. I could give them less than one star if possible. Not helpful.
