Extremely disappointed in my experience with Jared and radiant roofing. I was referred to him by…read moresomeone he attends church with - admittedly, this person did not know how Jared did business and hadn't had work done by him before. It was a blind trust type of situation - lesson learned! Jared said he serviced homes in the Akron area - which appeared to be a major inconvenience to him and not really the truth. He was supposed to do the roof, gutters, and siding. The roof was completed quickly, and I'm openly admitting that he did it without payment in advance (this was an insurance claim so he knew the money was coming). He said "okay I don't care how we do it as long as I get payment and a 5 star review". He also called the person who referred me and discussed the business and claim for my home with this person. This person has never lived at my home and I am the sole owner. Very inappropriate. I will add that one of the shingles was extremely discolored and I was told it would come off with the rain. I knew it wouldn't and after a good rain, and the persistent discoloration, I had them replace it. Additionally, the extra materials were left on my front lawn for days longer than they said. This should have been taken after the job was done but the on site project manager, Andrew, could not be bothered with it on the day the roof was completed, apparently. The gutters and siding were a complete disaster. He had me calculate what he was as owed but as he inflated the gutters and siding on his estimate, nothing was matching up. This took hours of my time away from my family when he is the professional being paid to do this work. Personally, I do not think HE has handled insurance claims before. He was very uninformed about many of the common homeowner's practices and left the work to me, the paying customer. He told me the siding had to be done before the gutters. Then two days later, his "project manager", Andrew, called and said they had a cancellation and they were coming to do my gutters. We had not agreed on the gutters or the siding yet but they were pushing to complete the work per their estimate - which was inflated and included items that were not damaged. This would have left me with significant out of pocket costs. I saw in another 1 star review that he said "we do not submit fraudulent claims". However, he submitted downspout damage (all 6 downspouts on my home) to my insurance company - not a single downspout was damaged. He also inflated the siding estimate by adding additional itemized things that were included in the line item already on the estimate - in other words, charging twice for siding. I would implore any perspective customers (and even past customers because likely you overpaid) to review all estimates and contracts with a fine tooth comb before proceeding with this company. On top of the inflated estimate, he spoke to me extremely unprofessionally, calling into question my knowledge of the process and the work. Having worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years, I found this to be extremely condescending. And he ended up doing the things I thought needed done anyway - because it was the right thing to do. But not after much back and forth, including a rude phone call that I had to disconnect. Additionally, there were multiple times we tried to connect via phone. He told me to call to discuss the numbers (again, the work I did for him) but when I called, he legitimately said "what's up" and acted like he didn't know why I was calling. He was adamant about a zoom call but when I would call him, he would blow me off and tell me to text him. When I brought this all up to him after letting him know I did not want him doing any additional work, he apologized and acknowledged the delays but then blamed the delays mostly on his newborn baby. As a full time single parent who did the newborn and baby stage solo, that was the most pitiful excuse I've ever heard. Additionally, it's insulting to me that he would think I would feel having a newborn is an excuse for how he conducted himself. After we spent awhile on the phone and finalized a plan for what documents were needed and how payment would be handled, he then text asking to come by and pick up the check and that he would print all the documents because he wanted to "honor his customers". I now realized he just didn't want a bad review - if he cared about his customers, he would have done right by me the entire process. But that's not the case. He earned this review. Absolutely abhorrent business practices and no follow through on expectations set. I would never recommend this company, nor will the person who referred me. Not looking for a response from radiant roofing on this - I do have receipts for everything stated above - but I do want to warn potential customers about his business practices and lack of time management/organization.

A week or so went by I got a call from a nice lady who then scheduled me for today Friday this was about a week ago. I truly struggled with leaving this review, however, had I known how this project would go, I would…read morehave chosen a different company. We initially chose this kitchen design company because we thought we were paying a premium price for a professional, full-service job where they would take care of everything for us. We have successfully worked with several different contractors in the past and had few issues, but this 8-week process was an incredibly stressful renovation where we ultimately did not feel comfortable in our own home. We are happy with our final kitchen. Scott provided a somewhat detailed labor sheet and was super nice to work with, but there was little detail as to what we were responsible to purchase. Delaney was amazing to work with and went out of her way to help with choices, sending modified renderings each time I changed my mind. The electrician and the plumber were wonderful, as was the countertop installation crew. Sales vs. Reality The project started off well prior to construction, and the owner came out to draw up the quote. During the sales process, we were explicitly told that the company has three teams of contractors they utilize. In reality, they sent just one single contractor, Robert, to do almost everything by himself, using his own sub-contractors only for the plumbing and electrical work. Useless Supervision & Hostile Contractor The company's project supervisor was completely useless and could barely hide his impatience with our valid requests and complaints. The contractor (Robert) was rude, difficult to communicate with, and argued with our requests. Mike (the supervisor) told us they know Robert is difficult, yet they still use him. They said they would talk to him, but that only backfired, making him even more hostile and causing bad feelings to escalate all around. Complete Lack of Daily Cleanup There was almost zero cleanup done in our home or in the garage where Robert did his cutting. The kitchen floor was a hot mess of debris, mud, and sawdust at the end of every single day. Because we needed access to our stairs, we were tracking this filth all over the house and had no choice but to clean the kitchen ourselves every night. Robert also left sawdust completely blanketing our entire garage--covering our car, floor, and workbench--requiring daily cleaning on our part. We even had to purchase a plastic liner to place on our stairs just to prevent the mud and debris from his shoes from destroying our carpeting. This is absolutely not something a client should have to do when paying for a premium service. Upon completion, I had to clean out every single cabinet and drawer because they were filled with sawdust. Negligent Property Care & Cut Corners We constantly had to step in and micromanage the construction: * Robert dropped the drawer for the end base cabinet, broke it, and simply left the broken drawer sitting on our garage workbench without saying a word. We were so exhausted by the constant fighting and hostility that we didn't even bring it up; my husband just fixed it himself so we could get it installed (which it never was). * After demolition, a massive amount of construction debris was piled directly against our siding. It sat there for three days until I had to explicitly demand they come remove it. * Robert used the top drawers of our expensive brand-new, unprotected cabinets to store his tools and gear during construction. This carelessness left gunk and an actual scratch inside one of our new drawers that we had to clean up ourselves. * After tearing the walls down to the studs, they wanted to just stuff some insulation into large holes (you could see the outside siding), ignoring our warnings that the wall gets freezing cold in the winter, not to mention the holes already had old insulation in them that did nothing. Ultimately, my husband had to fix the holes himself to ensure proper coverage. * They attempted to run a flexible refrigerator water line inside the wall instead of using industry-standard PEX or copper, which is a major leak hazard. We had to argue with them about this as well. The Bottom Line At the end of the day, we want to be fair to the craftsmanship: we are grateful that the cabinets are aligned properly, Robert did a good job on the walls, the flooring turned out beautifully, and the ceiling looks great. But the physical end result does not excuse a grueling process or blatant misrepresentations. Given the severe lack of oversight and the fact that we had to fix their mistakes and clean up their messes daily, we hoped they would offer a small goodwill discount. Instead, we received only excuses and apologies. I can't speak for the other "teams" of contractors, but if you hire this company and you have Robert, be prepared to manage the project, clean up the job site, and handle a hostile subcontractor entirely on your own.
