I couldn't wait to rush home and post this review…read more Jen is fantastic! She's personable, seeks input and she is talented. A little back story: I moved to Magnolia from California about 6 months ago. Nail salons are a dime a dozen here but the workmanship is lacking. I was looking for someone who can do designs, wasn't super expensive sand just know their stuff. I had to widen my circle from Magnolia. Jen is that person; she's an artist. She's reasonably priced, super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about making her clients happy. She's creative, which I love, she loves doing nails and it shows. Her pedicure was bomb too. I'm so thrilled I found my nail artist. She's not even that far from Magnolia. Visit her on Instagram to see her work.

Walked in and was greeted by a guy playing on his phone. I was told to wait as he went to find someone to service me. After a few minutes a mail technician comes out from the back and starts preparing my chair and water. The mail technician was friendly and asked my name and if it was my first time here. She then started asking about my job and if I was single. I did noticed she didn't add anything to my water. She went through the entire pedicure process pretty quickly. My manicure was even faster. She barely did a trim on my nails. They looked uneven and dull when she was done. As I was looking at my nails when she was done, she grabbed her cart and went to the back. She never came back out. I paid my bill and left. I will not be returning here.

Okay I'm SO confused. The reviews for this place definitely…read morearen't accurate, IMO. Look, the staff is friendly. They're nice sure. But I came in on a Tuesday at 12:30 pm. There was one lady here getting a manicure. No one else. I waited half an hour for a pedicure. When the gentleman finally came out, he didn't know what he was doing? I've had hundreds of pedicures. He didn't offer me different packages. Didn't add anything to my foot bath, used the SMALLEST amount of sugar scrub (which he didn't serve out onto a plate, he double dipped !!GROSS!!, yes he had gloves on but he still stuck his post scrubbing my leg fingers in the big jar...) he stretched my poor ankles in every which direction during my "massage" which was with way too little lotion and tugged and pulled on my skin.. he kept walking off and taking several minutes to come back. Also, he "prepped" my legs with the sugar scrub & lotion and then put one singular hot towel over both my legs which totally did not cover them.. and then he dried me off and went in the back!!!! I had to wait for the lady doing the other woman's manicure to come over and finish my pedicure! I was here for over 2 hours. WHY!? He was very sweet and asked if I was ok at least twice, but had no business working on me like professional nail tech which he clearly was NOT. Once the lady came over she obviously knew what she was doing and was good but very rushed bc she was working on 3 clients (another lady came in during my "massage") by herself. She didn't do a good job, but I'm guessing just bc she was in such a hurry. She didn't file my nails or cut my cuticles. She nipped off some dead skin but didn't work on every toe. She wasn't very careful taking out my ingrown big nails (which is why I get pedicures!!!!) and made me very sore & made me bleed.. The ingrowns suck and I'm used to them hurting but not like this. She didn't even take it all out so now I'll have to go again in a week or so this whole experience was a waste of time. All and all I definitely won't be back but like. I'm just so confused with the reviews?? Nice people. Poor business.

I called a week in advance to make an appointment and they said I was too early and I should call the day before. I ended up calling two days before and they scheduled me. They were good at practicing social distancing, however I noticed some weird things. When I was getting a pedicure, there wasn't a screen between me and the worker, but there was one with the girl across from me. They also checked the temperature of certain girls when they walked in, but they didn't check mine. Nail techs also were not wearing gloves when doing manicures. During the pedicure, the woman cut me a few times. She ended up leaving a scratch on the polish and leaving calluses on the sides of my feet. I was happy to see the other woman start my full set during my pedicure. We eventually went to the chair and she started doing the acrylic. She sighed when I showed her a picture of the design I wanted. I should have known she didn't know how to do it. I saw her spray alcohol on one of the tools, but I don't think that's the proper way to clean nail tools. She also cut me three times while doing my nails! She cut herself as well. There were young girls messing with the polish and she kept looking at them while working on my nails. She was definitely distracted. The nails don't look ugly, but it's not what I asked for. She forgot that I wanted my eyebrows waxed, so I reminded her. It was the only good part of this whole experience. In total, I paid $103 for them to do mediocre work. On top of that, my nail was really sore the next day from the cut. I've been putting alcohol and ointment on the cut so it doesn't get infected. I was considering getting my lashes done here, but I'm so glad I didn't. The service isn't even on their menu, but she said she does strips and individuals. Moral of the story, I'll be doing my own nails for now on. I'm DONE with these nail shops doing below average work.
