I decided to try a new nail salon, Kelly Nail & Spa, and I was pleasantly surprised! I usually avoid getting a full set because I have small nail beds, and acrylic nails rarely last on me. Most sets start lifting or coming off within about five days. However, the owner assured me that wouldn't be the case, and she was absolutely right! My nails stayed beautiful and intact for an incredible 3 1/2 weeks. Not only was I impressed with the quality of the work, but everyone there was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Had a full set of acrylic tips put on by Kelly less then 2 weeks ago and when I came in for a fill-in they soaked and removed all my tips when all that was needed was a trim and fill-in ! After many years of going here, it really saddens me to make the decision of no longer coming. Staff is not the same, Kelly is gone, the gentleman that attends you is not as friendly, Michelle is gone as well. Seems like the new staff is unqualified and they are changing many things. I walked in on a Saturday morning was seated right away for a mani/pedi. Salon is small and calm which I totally appreciate . I don't need big fancy places to make me happy. Calm, clean & comfy works for me and this place is just that. The nail techs are gentle and very attentive to their work. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly to me and also to the rest of the staff. I got dip powdered nails and I love that they aren't super thick. They look just like I asked for. I also appreciate that the nail tech asked if I had a picture of the mail shape I wanted (I did!) and she nailed it. ;-) read more

This is my first time coming to this salon based on a recommendation and I wish I could say my experience was more positive. After 2 hours for a manicure and a pedicure I did have higher expectations. I plan to ask for Michelle next time. Here are the positive and negatives. I was able to call and set up an appointment in the morning for a pedicure and manicure with polish. The facilities are nice and tidy. The manicure and pedicure were good, and problems did not arise until the polish. I originally wanted a painted French tip and I was told my nails were too short. No worries, I went with a nice pink nail polish instead. Kelly sprayed a bottle of some sort of chemical which got in my left eye and stung badly. I suppose my pain could be seen as something comical because she laughed about it. Kelly had a difficult time with the polish and kept putting it in a machine after a few passes of the brush. As she was painting them I pointed out how patchy and bumpy the polish came out. I offered to pick a different nail polish color if the one I picked wasn't working well for Kelly. Kelly said it looks like that because it's not shelliac and would look better with a top coat. The picture I took was with the top coat and it did not look good at all. I was very unhappy with it because I wanted my nails to look nice for a evening event I am going to. Tim offered me a different color and Kelly had a difficult time until Tim helped her with it. Ultimately Kelly left so Tom took over. Tim also repainted my toenails so they would match my fingernails. Tim did a good job. Overall, it was fine. A pedicure and manicure for $40, but for 2 hours I would have expected to leave a lot happier than I did. I also wonder how the original nail polish was seen as "okay". Maybe I caught them at a bad time on a Tuesday morning. read more

I have gone here for quite a few years and thru the fairly recent ownership/management change. It was probably better all in all under old management but the real reason I won't be back is last time I was in, another customer was speaking very loudly about political issues, disrupting my relaxation. Staff wore masks but did not enforce others to wear masks. Kelly, who did my dip set, injured my finger with the clippers. Didn't apologize for anything. Just kept on going. My nails look great! There's no complain there. I had also asked for a pedicure and when Tim asked which one, Kelly answered for me. I wanted shellac, but I guess the basic pedicure is only regular nail polish. I really wanted the paraffin treatment since I know my feet are super dry, but Tim and Kelly seemed put off by my pedicure request so I didn't say anything. This place met my expectations and blew them out the window. The atmosphere and space itself is very peaceful and relaxing and really well decorated. I saw that they even have a child size pedicure machine for the little ones which I thought was very cute. I came in for a dipping powder for my nails and a shellac pedicure and I LOVED it. I got a dip mani and a deluxe pedi. My dip set came out amazing. My nails and cuticles entered looking crazy and left looking fabulous. Kelly did them and If I am in the area again and need my nails done, I will make sure I come here and request Kelly. Now, my pedi was "just ok". A younger lady did it and it seemed she may have been new. She seemed confused at times. My massage was weak, the two ladies next to me seemed to get a much longer and better quality massage. She used the stones for just a minute or two. Also, one of the towels she used was room temperature. I told her but she didn't do anything about it. I wouldn't come back to her or recommend her. This was my first visit here and my first thought was its very nice on the inside. The staff greeted me and took me straight to a booth. I went in for a refill and to change from pink/white to ombré nails. The tech started on my nails right away. Everything was going smoothly until the tech asked me what color I wanted. I told her I didn't know b/c I never had ombré nails before. The worker sitting next to her said look it up online. So I did and once I found my color I showed it to my tech and well they couldn't do that color. My tech then decides to go get the different choices of colors they offer. So now I'm asking myself why didn't they just do that at first. Long story short I picked a different color and my nails turned out great. I usually get the dip here which I always love but lately I've been getting shellac, I've never gotten shellac at Kelly's before and I must say I'm highly disappointed. I payed 40$ for this plus a tip ! it hasn't even been a whole 24hours and it's already chipping on both hands . One nail practically has no shellac left on . I basically wasted my money . Went here today because I needed my nails done for an interview. I went around 20 minutes after opening-- there were a lot of people! Which makes sense, because their meticulous work is great and pays off in the end. I did have to wait for a while, although I didn't mind waiting. They kept thanking me for waiting and it was no worries. I was seated and given water. I got a basic pedicure and a shellac gel manicure. The people who served me (one of them was named Ni-- sorry if I spelt that wrong!!, other two couldn't catch the names of) were polite and sweet. While I only did get a basic pedi and shellac gel manicure, they massage you really well and makes sure you are taken care of. Throughout my time there, I was constantly asked if I was okay and was thanked for my patience. They also gave me 15% off because it was my first time there (they asked if where I was from and if it was my first time here) so the 15% new customers is not a joke!!! They also have a "punchcard" and the more you go, you'll eventually get an incentive! There is a bathroom in the back, and their salon is kept clean. I love the set up. There's also a small pedicure station for any moms who want to bring their daughters. I recommend this place to anyone thinking about coming! Love it. read more
