Let me start by saying that we used Maples in the past about 2 years ago and were satisfied with the service we received especially by the people who came out to take care of us. That being said, we found bees in our house, in the basement after my husband sprayed outside, we considered this to be an emergency situation since he is highly allergic to bees and it was on a Sunday. So in a panic I called them first-and yes, Mr. Maples I did call three times in a row-the first time I called, your message almost sounds like you answered the phone, so out of confusion between being in the middle of something else and worrying my husband could get stung I hung up and called back and yes I did leave a message, and one on your website, then as I was looking for anybody to come out ( it being Sunday I figured it would be next to impossible-but what would you do?), I started going down the list and calling every company listed, there was a number that actually linked back to Maples so I called it and realized it was the same company. So, yes I called three times-Mr. Maples called me back and said " you called three times and didn't leave a message and we are closed today but what do you want?", I explained to him my situation and he proceeded to chastise me about being closed and no he was not coming out just because " my husband screwed up". Seriously? Who talks to a customer this way??? So I thanked him for his help, and hung up. He called me back and told me he was going to give me a tip-which was not helpful since all he could do was talk over me and proceed to argue instead of listening to my needs. He also said how he has been in the business for over 30 years and I don't know customers. Ummmm, Mr. Maples you are wrong-I do know customers as I am in customer service myself , and I KNOW better than to EVER talk to a customer they way you talked to me and treated me!!! I might not be able to pay cash for cars and have them delivered to me like you do (yes this is what he told me), so therefore I am sure you are rich enough to NOT NEED MY BUSINESS!!! TOO BAD, because you do have good people working for you and it is a shame you have poor customer service skills. You could have politely told me unfortunately, you were unable to accommodate us on Sunday and schedule an appointment for as soon as possible on Monday, like the other two companies I spoke to, or not call me back until the first thing in the morning like another company did. I'm sorry I intruded on YOUR SUNDAY, we were just trying to get help so I wouldn't have to take my husband to the ER because he got stung and was unable to breathe. I was polite and I understood you could not come out, but it was unnecessary for you to be rude and put me down and talk over me, when I was trying to be reasonable with you-which is why I no longer cared to speak to you any further, because clearly you are the one who is right and not your customer. read more
