The base price is for regular donuts, and the specialty ones are an additional 25 cents or 50 cents each: 1. 2 chocolate raised // good! Classic, can't go wrong. 2. 1 unglazed, 1 vanilla glazed, and 1 maple old fashion // old fashion is good! Perfect texture, but the sweetness was a bit much. 3. 1 vanilla glazed, 1 maple, and 1 chocolate french cruller // Woah! My first time trying a cruller, and it was light and fluffy! I liked this! 4. 1 vanilla glazed twist long bar // classic! Can't fo wrong. It was a bit soggy (probably too fresh), but still good. 5. 1 apple fritter // I like this! Although they do take your sandwich orders, *****BEWARE *****what you pick up is often the opposite of what you ordered. Example: After placing an order for a specific type of sandwich on a bagel, instead, they give us a croissant, or a plain bagel when we specifically ordered sesame seed? As this has happened countless times, we can no longer tolerate this lame service, and we've terminated them for failure to fulfil their duty to the customer. Imagine yourself, 530 am, making a run to the donut shop for some pastries for that overtime shift you have on a Saturday morning. Pull up to the parking lot & as soon as you walk out of your car, not even 500 feet away you instantly smell the fresh scent of baked goods. That my fellow Yelpers is when you know a shop is MOM AND POP. My mom took us to Maples growing up and coming here brought warm nostalgia to my memories and my nostrils. I haven't been to this bakery in yearsssss so it's safe to say, the feeling is similar to seeing an old friend you lost contact with but never really lost that connection. Coming back today put an instant smile on my face. I ordered about 10 donuts, 4 muffins, 1 apple turnover and 1 chocolate pastry. Unfortunately, I won't be trying these delicious, tempting goods, but sharing this dose of happiness with my co workers will be just as satisfying! I am a donut snob. To date, the best donut I have ever had was from a shop in the small town of Chama, New Mexico almost 20 years ago. Until about 2 weeks ago I had never found a shop that even came close. Now I am ecstatic to have wandered into Maple Leaf. The test of a good donut shop isn't fancy flavors but rather a simple raised, glazed donut. It must be light and airy, like biting into a cloud, it should not have an oily feel in the mouth, and the glazed should be sweet but not cloying. Maple Leaf checks all those boxes except it's almost TOO airy lol. The perfect donut should have just a teensy more solidity when biting into it. I score Maple Leaf at a 9.9/10. Great neighborhood donut shop. The family that runs this business is super hard working and very friendly and kind to its customers. I enjoy dropping by here whenever I want a fresh donut or a delicious croissant breakfast sandwhich. I see they also offer lunch croissant sandwhiches but have yet to try those. I arrived there at 5:35a only to find they were still closed, yet their posted hours indicated they open daily at 5:30a. I waited until 5:45a, being told "not yet" the entire time I waited outside. And their reply when I asked what time they would be opening was "not yet."
