Been a fan of this place since they opened! The place is pretty small but it has is the coziest bakery vibe AND it is so clean all the time! The ladies there are always very nice and I think at this point, I've tried everything there. I've brought all my family and clients here and everybody only has good things to say. Their almond croissant is the best almond croissant I've ever had and every sandwich comes out so flaky and baked to the exact right crispiness. This is such a hidden gem. It's small and family owned by a Venezuelan couple. The cafe has a nice cozy vibe. My sister and I stopped in for breakfast we both ordered croissants and coffee. I had the croissant with eggs, a side of fruit, and Mao's Special cappuccino. The croissant was soft and flakey, the eggs were cooked well and everything tasted very good. The coffee was strong and tastey. My sister liked her ham and cheese croissant as well. If we're ever in the area we'll definitely stop by again. They have a lot of pasties that looked and sounded delicious, so we'll be back to give those a try! read more

Oh my god I'm so glad I stumbled upon this wonderful bakery/coffee shop on Yelp! The location is a little hidden but don't let that deter you. It is so worth a visit. My Mom and me were looking for a spot to read and chat over coffee so I found this place and it looked nice so we went for it. The owners are super friendly and sweet. The coffee is so good and VERY strong. The pastries are phenomenal. I had the banana cheesecake and my mom had mango cheesecake. And we also shared a New York style chocolate chip cookie that was stuffed with biscoff cookie butter. So delicious! We sat and talked for a while. The music is nice. Not too loud. It is on the smaller side but there's a decent amount of seating available. It just feels so cozy and nice here. It feels like what coffee shops and bakeries used to feel like. This gem is super hidden on the corner of a strip center in the middle of Highway 6. Hands down, Venezuelan bakeries are so underrated. I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally I had the chance today! When entering, this bakery immediately has a cozy and "homie" vibe. Super cute! There are so many options so I asked what their most popular sandwich is and the young lady said the "croissant snowy". So, croissant snow it was! I also ordered this pastry that I do not remember the name of. The pastry had ham, some white cheese, olives and raisins. The pastry was very strange tasting, but glad I tried something new. However, the sandwich was very good. Croissant was light and flaky.. lightly toasted. Chefs kiss! I also ordered 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a double chocolate cookie. The double chocolate cookie is stuffed with thick chocolate filling. It was a very rich cookie. The oatmeal raisin cookies were amazing. May be under cooked in the middle, but the flavor is so good! A bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The one negative about this place is that pricing is high. Each cookie was over $5.50 each! I spent $20 for my sandwich and pastry.. then, over $17 for 3 cookies. The food is great, but just be prepared to spend the extra $$. All around a great vibe and awesome food. Just tried this place today for a late breakfast. The staff was very nice and friendly The food was good and the portions are good size But as others have said I is very pricey $50 for an egg & cheese croissant with fruit, 2 pistachio cheesecakes, a cheese danish & a cherry danish. My honest review for thjs place is super cute to study, they play a variety kinds of music for any music lovers. The service was good she was nice and recommended their special ( pumpkin latte) I added with oat milk and cinnamon super good but it was a little too strong for my liking but for any coffee lovers I believe they would love to try !!! This is a fantastic place! When you cross the door of this small hidden treasure in a regular strip mall in Houston you enter a fabulous world of flavors and delicious treats! The place is impecable, the service very friendly and professional! The food is from a World of sour American flavors deliciously executed! Cachitos - the Venezuelan version of the Kolaches are perfect and filled with generous ham, ham and cheese, spinach and ricotta or the mortadella and pistachios which is a new flavor to me! This unassuming and small cafe and bakery is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall near my vet. I kept eying it up because where I'm from, tasty baked goods are what it's all about. I gave them a try now twice. The first time was for coffee and a pastry. The second time today because I wanted a bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon. They had one but it was 12$; that's too much for that. I ordered the Americano breakfast which was 9$ and came with 2 eggs, bacon and one waffle. The bacon was very good; the rest just ok. Overall, the food is just okay and so is the service. I feel like they could be friendlier; they are not rude, just there. If I saw a new customer staring at the menu, I'd offer a selection; ask them if they are looking for something, etc...just a tip. I would go back, but I won't go out of my way. Great little place. I ordered the basque burnt cheesecake. I have been trying to find this desert close to home. The best I could do was close to a meeting. Along with the cheesecake mission, I wanted to try out lunch and a coffee. I got a grilled cheese sandwich and an oat milk cappuccino. Everything was excellent. The grilled cheese was delicious and indulgent. The bread was perfect and buttery. The cheese... at least 2 cheeses blended beautifully with a generous pull. The cheesecake is exactly what I was expecting. A smooth custard center and a less creamy texture on the outside to contain it. No crust. Exactly as it should be from the videos. It's a nice shareable amount. The cappuccino I can't completely judge. I don't love oat milk, but I was trying to limit the lactose shock. If I drink a normal cappuccino, I'm toast. The coffee beans seemed a little darker roast than my preference. The cappuccino was well executed and balanced. I can't fault the cappuccino at all. I really enjoyed the place. Lovely chilled music and comfortable seats. It was a wonderful place to find a moment of peace and indulge. Staff are very nice. You can tell it's family owned. I'll definitely come back. I can't wait to try the other deserts and bring a lactaid to enjoy a real cappuccino. I'd heartily repeat the grilled cheese. I couldn't imagine a better one. And you know the general rule. Me and my husband ordered 2 chicken puff pastries and 2 spinach artichoke kolaches today and we received 2 ham kolaches and one ground beef puff pastry without any kind of notice that our order was changed. We had to bite into it to find out they changed our order. The food wasn't great either just a waste of time and money. read more

What a find!! This cute little bakery/coffee shop hidden in the corner of a strip mall is a real gem! My husband and I were visiting from Austin and we wanted to find some Venezuelan cachitos (similar to kolaches) and good coffee for breakfast. This place is excellent!! We had a hard time deciding what to order so we got a little bit of averything. Their cachitos are fenomenal. We had ham and cheese, and mortadella and pistacho. They also have ham and bacon, turkey and cream cheese, spinach and ricotta. We also tried one of their pastelitos (puffy pastry) filled with cream cheese and turkey We both ordered capuccinos. They were superb, like the ones you find in European bakeries. To end we got a Milhojas (Mille-feuille or Napoleon) and a Passion fruit tres leches. Both were so fresh and delicious. They were less sweet than others we have tried (or the ones I make at home) and that made them better! The Napoleon was sooo fresh! They make them daily on Fridays and Saturdays.
