Discovered this place via delivery during COVID. Great burgers and hand made fries! Probably the top two in Beverly. One order of fries is plenty for two people with normal appetites. Many of their burgers are "meat on top of meat" - I think the hangover burger has gyro meat and eggs and who knows what else. Not my style but it's what they are known for. I tend to order the regular cheeseburger and that has never disappointed me. Turkey burgers are okay. They are either closed or don't do delivery Mondays and Tuesdays. This is a family owned restaurant so the customer service here is good. The restaurant offers seating if you want to eat in and the place is clean. I always get the vegetarian burger with the aioli sauce and it is divine. You can order with meat too, if you prefer. The fries are offered with the skin on but are not oily and just enough salt. The restaurant also sells shakes in which they are pretty known for! They are made fresh to order as well. They do offer other options, i.e. hot dogs, salads and soup. Found this joint on Yelp. It's on the south side of 111th just east of Western close to the corner. The place is clean run by my fellow very friendly Mexicanos. A small place with some good carry out clientele as well. I had the Sunny Burger -bacon w/sunny side egg very tasty & satisfying. My wife had the Italian Burger w/Italian beef & hot giardiniera. Had a side of nice size portion of cheese fries crispy fresh hot w/plenty of sauce. Their menu is classic plus a lil risk e'. We ate there around 6:30pm. Very very decent-my wife def wants come back. Its a small place with about 10 tables that's self service. They have a large TV in the corner to pass the time while you wait. Speaking of the wait, the burgers and fries were prepared in a shockingly short amount of time for the quality of the food. Everything I consumed was way better than I expected from such a small spot. They have a variety of different types of burgers and wraps to choose from. Manzo's also has a few vegetarian options as well. The portion size of the fries was enough for my boyfriend and I to have leftovers. They were crisp, skin on, hand cut fries. Becoming our go-to spot for wraps, and never disappoint on the fries! Been coming to Manzo's since we moved back to West Beverly (Morgan Park). We've tried a bunch off of their menu, but the Buffalo Chicken Wrap = MY ABSOLUTE Favorite (have them add blue-cheese crumbles). My husband has tried a variety of their burgers, but really enjoys the Italian burger with a side of marinara. I'd also recommend the Turkey Burger (the chipotle ranch and avocado make this!), and their MANGO shake. I was surprised by how much i liked it! Don't order too late in the night or they might be out of some ingredients, and since they started using the app delivery service, I feel like their walk-in/phone-in orders have taken the hit. read more

This place offers gourmet flavor burgers at fast food prices; end of story. [Nope; story continues.] For those of you who enjoy "boutique burger joints" (like Five Guys, Fattburger, Smash Burger etc.) this restaurant is a diamond in the rough. First time I went here a few years back (I think it was called Five-Star or something but same people?? Or a few management switches?) I had the turkey burger with pepper jack cheese, avocado, citrus chipotle aioli, and organic mixed greens. It probably even sounds "ridiculously gourmet for a burger", but that citrus chipotle aioli was insane -- mixed with the greens, I had both the satisfaction of eating a perfectly cooked burger with the fresh flavor profiles of eating a fancy salad. I was mostly just looking for a "healthy non-red meat" burger option at the time, instead they blew my mind. Fast forward to today, my party and I all chickened out and just got cheeseburgers. The grilled beef took me back to the days when I'd go to Schoop's for one of their crazy hand-pressed burgers, alongside a Green River. While the toppings were nicely piled on they also made room for the burger flavor, of which burger never got dry. The bun was light enough yet fully supported my double burger, and the fresh sea-salted fries were perfect for me, at the same time didn't wreck me hours later like frozen fries do sometimes. These guys are local, too, so support the hell out of them. Stop paying too much at Five Guys, and all those places, and come here. Heck if you eat McDonald's once a week go here instead, you'll only pay like a dollar more and your body will thank you. You don't need that giant diet Coke anyways. Nobody does. read more

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was not that busy at all, thankfully. The Jalapeno Burger is so delicious and tasty (A burger topped with carnitas, jalapeno peppers, and guacamole). What else could a person want?!. Fries are delicious as well. A place for seating, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Bragels, the prosperous fellow from the KCC-Go! message board I post on (it's a board dedicated to the Kane County Cougars, but we also discuss many other diverse topics, like current events, music, fitness, what to do if your sons start to like art rather than football, how to spread capitalism, how to invest in winning stocks, how to re-define the word "theft" when advantageous to one's self, and so on), turned me on to Manzo's a while back, and I am forever in his debt (which I am fine with, because a little economic manumission gives the average Joe a raison d'etre, a motivation for working hard and raising thrifty, working-class future workers). This reviewer ranks Manzo's as the second-best burger in Chicago (behind BRGRBELLY) and the best on the South Side. The burgers are thick and juicy and, in a word, not forgettable. I know very little about the culinary arts (I'm an expert in CapDesi, or capitalist design--and if you were conversant with that field, and were aware of my name, you would know I am pretty much the Toulouse-Lautrec, with longer legs, of CapDesi), but the meat they use is high quality and seasoned lightly--lightly enough for you not to be able bite in and taste the seasoning, but seasoned enough so that this tastes different from what you have on the grill. They are cooked to perfection, too. To be perfectly honest, after dining on Manzo's, I refuse to brush my teeth for days, so bad do I desire that the taste lingers. Old Bragels says they could bring in human flesh and do it up righteously, and I hate to say it, but he's probably right. (Besides, with all the unemployment in today's world, we must all strive to be useful.) The fries and shakes and everything else are just as satisfying--so much so that that show "Scared Straight" (the one about the criminals, not about the skinny gay kids) would use the threat of no shakes to keep burgeoning criminals squarely within the confines of their own social class. But it is the burgers that will keep you coming back. It's not the cheapest place, but might I remind you that they need money, too, and one pays for quality. Besides, one should be able to make a dollar, shouldn't one? That's perhaps the greatest thing about these United States: One can make as much money as he wants. God bless us. Finally got a chance to dine in a Saturday afternoon with my children, We were greeted by a lady who welcomed us and invited us to sit anywhere we liked. My kids ordered plain hot dogs and fries from the kids menu, everyone got their own milkshake and of-course they were rich in flavor I believe they have strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and Oreo flavor.
