Buyer beware! I have spent $600 with Mantis over the past year and my insect problem remains, despite my repeated communications about these concerns. When closing my account today, I attempted to reach a fair accommodation regarding my final bill to account for the unsatisfactory results, "Sam" insisted I pay in full or they would refer my account to collections. Save yourself the disappointment and wasted investment and look elsewhere for your pest control needs. read more

I was with Mantis Pest Solution for the past 7 or 8 years. In the beginning they were great over the past year to year and a half they have been poor. I went from not needing to monitor them a to micromanage them. I hate to be micromanged therefore I don't like to do it. This past Thursday I took off work to be here for Edward to do the lawn treatment which consists of putting down granules and spraying the yard and spraying the bushes. Edward arrives arrives at 9:53 am gets of the truck at 10:02 am puts his gear on then proceeds to spray the bushes in the front and back yard. He goes back to his truck, I thought he was getting ready to treat the yard and I look up and he is gone at 10:16 am Now I'm in my living room and I'm able to see the front and back yard along with my cameras. I wait to receive the invoice to see if he notes as to why he only treated the bushes. I receive the invoice and he state he treats the front the backyard and the bushes which is not true so at 10:39 am I called Mantis and speak with Caleb. Who I happen to speak with earlier that week to get a window of time when my service will be getting completed and I stated there's an issue with ants. I tell Caleb that Edward did not treat the front yard or the backyard only did the bushes and I need my yard serviced today. He states can get someone out Saturday I said that it's not acceptable. I took off work to be here because I have to be here because over the past year year and a half service has been poor. Caleb states they cannot get anyone back out today. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. I explained this is not good customer service as to I took off work to get a service completed and the service was not completed. I have to be inconvenienced on a weekend because I definitely have to watch whoever they send out to ensure they complete the task as it is to be completed. Caleb states the manager was not available and would give me a call on Friday I ask again if they can get someone out today. He states there's no way they can get anyone out until Saturday I proceed to tell Caleb to go ahead and cancel my contract and I still would like. call from Greg. He states okay and they would give me a call before 5pm Friday. He did ask for me to send the video of Edward not completing the job I told him that they can come see it when they do the reservice today because I'm not sending a video. I'm telling you what occurred as a customer of 7 to 8 years and I understand you may want to see the video to have to hopefully provide to the worker and show that they didn't do anything but how about provide good customer service and get someone back out here today to actually do my service that I paid for and I will gladly show the video. I'm not going to keep being the one jumping through hoops and adjusting my schedule when I'm paying you all especially when the service is subpar. Needless to say I did not receive a call from Greg on Friday and now we are here. read more

We have been using Mantis Pest Solutions for years. We're happy with the service they provide and we like seeing the same person almost every time they treat our home. Occasionally, we do see common pests such as ants on the outside of our home (usually when it rains a lot) but we just call the office and they always send someone out quickly. They've never charged us anything on top of the regular rate to come back out and treat inside or out. read more

I was very pleased with the service professional who visited my home. He was knowledgeable and explained all of the process and solutions used. I was able to make a same day appointment and the office staff was very helpful. I can't wait to enjoy my backyard even more now! P.S. - I don't hate bugs. :) Thank you Mantis!! read more

I was calling around just yesterday to get quotes for pest services as the ants have just gotten out of control, and the spiders followed. Mantis wasn't initially the cheapest service I found, but they were the friendliest on the phone, had the quickest turnaround from phone call to initial service (one day!), and over the course of the two year contract would actually be the cheapest service ($109 upfront fee and $99 per quarter versus other services that waived the upfront fee but charged $149 per quarter). Well, I just had Cory out to my house to spray inside and out for ants and spiders and I cannot say enough about his efficiency, professionalism, and attitude! He wore booties to come in the house, explained the spraying process to me, what would be most effective on spiders vs ants, assured me of the product safety, listened to my concerns, ignored my kids' messy room (hallelujah), and I'm hopeful this is the start of the end of our ant problem. I'm totally looking forward to having an ant-free house with great and friendly service from Cory and Mantis! read more

When we were approached by the Mantis salesman he promised the spraying would include 1/2 acre outdoor coverage. However, when the first technician arrived and my husband asked about this promise, he informed us that the salesman tended to tell people that even though that was not true. Also, the next technician who arrived did only spot spraying and did not do total coverage inside and out. When questioned, he informed my husband that his boss was telling them that they were using too much spray and should only do the minimum. Also they were supposed to spray under the deck floor and kill all wasp nests...didn't happen. When we tried to cancel our contract they told us that we had to pay $400 to do that and that it didn't matter that we were sold a bill of goods. read more

When approached at home by one of their door to door sales men they seemed very kind and professional. I had been told and was under the impression after discussing this with their technician that after a paid in cash one time service spray around our home that if my husband and I were satisfied with the treatment we would then opt into the monthly service program. My husband was not home at the time and I did not want to commit to a contract without discussing it with him or having satisfactory results from their spray treatment. A week or two after the service we decided to not opt into a monthly contract with this company. However since this event we had technicians show up at our house to do monthly treatments and demanding payment. We paid cash again at the second treatment although we had not scheduled or agreed upon this service, felt that since their was miscommunication and the guy had already driven to our house this would be the last service we would receive from them making our decision known that we were not interested in a contractural agreement for monthly services. However even after this event we have received numerous calls saying that we have a balance on our account because we paid cash and there is no trace of that from their technician who says we never paid him. Also that we are obligated to at least 5 months of services unless we want to pay an early cancellation note which will have an additional fee. All this in which was never communicated or explained when discussed with the original sales guy. Needless to say I would never recommend this company at all due to their lack of communication and explanation of their product services and subscription plan is unprofessional. It could be poor training with their sales reps or technicians but either way, after signing an agreement in which those specific details were never outlined or explained and also paying in cash which then "was never received" I would say use this company at your own risk but would personally recommend going with a different pest control company. read more
