We've had a very negative experience of this company. While they seem like friendly people, they have dropped the ball on so many accounts. We are currently in the middle of a multi-year contract with them, and here are just some of our concerns:
1) They were supposed to be taking care of our carpenter ants, which should include spraying in the shed under our balcony. We just recently found out that they have ***not been spraying in there AT ALL*** because they assumed that the shed was locked (it wasn't), and rather than ask us to unlock it, they decided to just not mention it and let us have carpenter ants eating away at our house for over a year.
2) Their website clearly states that tick control is included in the Miller Guard Plus plan, which we have, so I assumed that was accurate. Our yard became severely infested with ticks to the point that we couldn't step outside without getting them on us. When I called to ask about it, they said that their website is just inaccurate and that they don't even have plan that includes tick control (though their website still says that they do).
3) They have been servicing our house for over a year and they have never been able to get the mice situation under control. It seems that the only trick they have up their sleeves is to place snap traps wherever we say we've seen mice. If this is all they do, then why are professionals needed? I would save so much money to just get snap traps myself. They have not been able to figure out where mice are entering our house, though they will insist prior to signing the contract that they "guarantee" that they will find and secure points of entry and eliminate all mice. If you don't ask, they won't venture a guess as to how the mice are getting in, but if we press them for an answer, they will have one theory and insist that the mice must be getting in that way and that there are no other possible points of entry. Then we spend a lot of money to remedy whatever their latest theory is, but the mice never go, and the next time they come out they pinpoint another entry point that they didn't bother to find the last time. An example of their service: I called about a month ago because the mice were getting quite loud in the walls. I told them where I was hearing the mice, and instead of finding a way into the attic, they just checked places where traps have always been and said that the traps "looked good" and that the mice should eventually somehow find their way into them from the other side of the house. A month later (a couple of days ago), I called them back because the mice activity was getting worse in the same wall I asked about previously, and this time they found a removeable wall panel with direct access into the mice-infested area... I don't understand why they didn't locate this panel the first time. They also then found a massive hole in our roof that they neglected to notice previously. It's just amazing the lack of attention and concern they display for our pest issues.
4) The technicians don't seem to communicate with each other or keep records on what is going on in our house. When new technicians come out, they don't seem to know what pests we have, where they are located, or what has been done so far. Despite not knowing any of this information, they don't ask us either, and will just spray for spiders, when we have never had a serious issue with spiders.
In short, our pest situation has only gotten much worse since hiring this company, but unfortunately we are stuck in a multi-year contract with them, and they won't uphold their "guarantee" they claim to have. I wish they would let us out of our contract so we could hire a company that might know how to handle mice, but they are happy to take our money and not provide services. The last time a technician came out, he even told me that if we hear any further mice activity that we should "call a different company that can do more"... I feel like "call a different company" should be their company slogan, as they appear entirely disinterested in addressing our pest issues. read more
