There's more to Scranton than that Chili's in "The Office..." This place was on point! It's a bit out of the way (we were downtown) and worth the hike up the hill, or at least a $6 Uber ride. I had the Popeye Omelette and for six bucks I got three eggs stuffed with a TON of spinach and Cooper Cheese (new to me, but I will seek out this taste explosion in the future...) and two thick cut slices of buttered rye toast. I added a treat and you should too: the "Granana" is dee-lish. This needs to be a thing, for real. half a banana, slathered in peanut butter and rolled in house-made granola, then drizzled with honey? Elvis, this could raise you from the dead, dude. Stoked: bill with tip was $14 and I'm stuffed and my mouth is asking for another Granana. Bummed: Nothing. Tip: breakfast is done at 11am but you can get the Granana anytime. read more

We're new to the area and thought we'd try out one of our local cafes. Didn't realize they only did the buffet on Sundays but as we'd walked there we stayed anyway. My husband thoroughly enjoyed everything, not blown away but good. I don't eat pork and I was screwed. I asked if there was anything not pork and was shown the Mac and cheese. I didn't complain, just ate my scrambled eggs. So it was a nice surprise that they only charged for one buffet. Some turkey sausage or a good omelette station with veg and this would be a glowing 5 star review. The place itself is gorgeous and the waiter we had, he was chatty and attentive. My husband and I went today for the brunch buffet. We've been here before for breakfast and lunch and everything was great. Not saying the food wasn't good today, it was average breakfast fare, but the price was out of this world. It was a very average buffet, titled brunch, but the only lunch items were penne pasta and a very small salad that I could have eaten myself in its entirety. The breakfast food was fine but all needed to be replenished, all servers were about half full at best. The "sweet treats" were all the same and appeared to be cut up corn bread. No variety. The bill arrived: $18 per person and 20% gratuity INCLUDED. What? My husband and I are excellent tippers, but you're going to add in 20% for a BUFFET? Our server only brought us coffee and took and our plates. We served ourselves. Never again. Over $45 for two of us. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday. We didn't realize it was buffet only, which looked amazing, but my wife has many dietary restrictions. The gracious host didn't want to see her pay for a buffet she couldn't eat, so they whipped her up an awesome salad. Needless to say, the buffet was amazing. The lemon poppy pancakes were the best. Even the granola was extra special. Also, the historic building is beautiful and nothing short of class. The staff was friendly and we just had a great time. So light and fluffy) and The Nap, featuring sunny side up eggs, potatoes and sausage (olfactory senses went into overload - the scent of farm fresh eggs and hand made pork sausage enhanced by the earthiness of fried potatoes). I thought that this was a pretty good breakfast spot. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because while the service, food, and coffee were all excellent, the menu wasn't very expansive and there were a lot of additional charges for things like subbing out basic kinds of breads and even sharing plates. The aesthetic of Mansour's is lovey and I'd definitely visit again, though! We ordered and got our food in maybe five minutes tops, and the coffee and bakery selections are awesome read more

My favorite breakfast spot to start the day on location. Bright and open with lots of varied seating options. A great place to meet clients for a meal or coffee. Scranton is lucky to have this gem. I do wish they had an organic egg option. Lunch offers great salads and a good selection of contemporary American cuisine with a twist here and there.the restaurant bar is also a great way to mix it up with some of Scranton's characters. Excellent coffee, Electric City Roasting Co. and La Colombe from Philly. My only suggestion is not to clutter the opposite side with random small pieces of art because of the clutter factor. The place is breathtakingly beautiful even for tough New Yorkers like me:) coffee not strong enough and OJ not fresh squeezed (obviously not from here!!) Second time a few weeks ago for Sunday brunch ... great. Not my favourite options. But overall still good. They served a roast beef that was medium plus. Surprised! Biscuits with sausage gravy ick but that's me. Pasta nice, desserts divine, service impeccable. I'll go back but probably not for brunch. I'm a small eater & a picky NYer who prefers healthy options. I started going to Mansour's long before they served hot meals. It is an East Scranton staple and one of the best places to get lunch in the city. It gets crowded but the service time is always fast. Their burger is one of my absolute favorites and the various specials are to die for. The staff and atmosphere could not be nicer. The food was great and well priced. I've been here a few times for breakfast and each time I came I left happy. I always get just a basic breakfast, so eggs, hashbrowns, toast will do it for me. The coffee is weak and tasted awful. The eggs were over cooked and supposed to be sunny side up, sausage was like rubber. The potatoes were raw. I liked the avocado toast but the egg was well done. Service was average she never asked if we liked our food and saw a full cup of coffee not touched my husband ordered, and didn't ask why. I had to pay $3.50 for a shot of espresso just to drink mine. Be forewarned: they only have buffets on Sundays. Went there for breakfast based off their menu online. Only to find out that they don't have that menu available on Sundays and you have to eat the buffet brunch that they have set up. Nowhere online does it say that little bit of information. Since everything else in the area was closed and we were in a hurry and starving we decided to stay. For $18 a plate I was expecting amazing food, it wasn't. It was mediocre at best. They ran out of pancakes and didn't refill the pancakes for like 45 minutes after multiple people told them they were out. The icing on this whole shitty cake was when we got the receipt they had added gratuity to our bill! There was only two of of us. So what was gratuity added for you might ask? Who knows!! The only thing the server did was bring us our drinks and then bring us our check. That was all. Not like I wouldn't have tipped the server but I did not appreciate that added almost like forcing me to tip the server. I was super upset and super disappointed by the whole situation.
