This literally is one of my favorite restaurants. But Friday they had a rough night. There were two other customers who had trouble getting the food they ordered. Their food wasn't prepared as they ordered. And... I ordered regular coffee. When I went to add creamer and sweetener- the half and half was out (7:00pm). So, I used regular milk. When I poured it out if the carafe, two dead flies came out and into my cup. How does that happen when it had a lid? But. It did. Other than the fly thing, my husband and I had a nice meal. I feel obligated to give 3 stars because our waiter was so nice and helpful. Other than that, we just weren't impressed. This is our 2nd visit and the drinks and food are just average. Take a look at the picture of my strawberry margarita. It looks beautiful, but the taste was awful. It had a chemical flavor and a bad aftertaste. My husbands Margarita on the rocks had that same taste. We don't know if it's the mixer they use but we just couldn't drink them. There's nothing memorable about the food. It's not bad, just nothing special. We did like the white queso and the salsa. The patio is beautiful and if the drinks & food lined up, we'd keep coming back. read more

Dang it. I've eaten here twice before for lunch and it was ok, and I know you shouldn't judge a place on maybe one off time. Tonight however opened my eyes that their food is just very basic, and even lacking. I won't review service because like most places now good service doesn't exist much anymore. The food was just bland, seemed incomplete, and was served barely warm. The rice wasn't fluffy and clumped together and the beans were very strange. These staples should be easy to make consistently. I'll be honest we could have gone anywhere and had a comparable meal or even slightly better. I think they just have some popularity going for them because of their location and lack of options. You can eat here, but just don't drive by anything else to get here. You'll be unimpressed. read more

Great food and great service every time I'm in! Cowboy tacos and brisket quesadillas are delicious, the Manny's special is a great deal with the amount of food you get and the verity of the plate is even better! Not "authentic" Mexican cuisine but more so "Tex-Mex"! read more

If you want solid TexMex that is consistent then Manny's is the place. I have yet to complain about anything I've ordered and I can be picky. I'll start by telling you I'm from California and they are plenty of great authentic options withina mile or two. This was not what I'm accustom to.. I had cheese enchiladas and it was Tex Mex, but it was fine.. My rating is due to the service. Maybe it's Texas, but the service I've experienced throughout Dallas has bad marginal at best. We decided to try out the new Manny's located in Heath , it's kinda tucked back into some neighborhoods located near the new Tom Thumb . We sat in the bar area and had a drink . The outdoor patio looked amazing with new patio furniture and outside heaters and the inside was kinda small . They had only been open for 4 days when we visited. I've been twice since they opened and it's been great both times. First time was during the week for lunch. Busy but didn't have to wait long. Food was great and so was the marg! Second time was today after church. Wait was so long! We were told 10 min but waited more like 45. I had a Grandma and a 4 yr old with me and there was no where to sit for the first 30 min in until a very sweet lady gave up her chair for my Grandma. Once we finally got a table everything went quick. Everything we ordered came out quick, tasted great and our servers and everyone else we came across were really sweet. Had a great dinner here with my mom last night. Margaritas were good as always, the service was fantastic. I had the brisket tacos which which were very flavourful accompanied by rice and beans. This place is a gem in Heath and the surrounding area. There's nothing on the menu that is not excellent however, I am a mole" fan and this place does it very well. If you're wondering how it taste just order a side of it with your chips and salsa or although not on the menu, do a half order of the pulled chicken nachos and a side of mole'. read more

Well a couple of years ago I raved about this place. Since then the service has really nose dived. I realize every restaurant is understaffed and I have taken this into account. However, the servers do not listen to you and never get our orders correct. The servers act like they are inconvenienced to even listen. They are always trying to get away from your table and because of that get orders wrong. I'm tired of it and have given them every opportunity to correct this so we will no longer be coming here. We will go to Mi Cocina instead. read more

Came by on accident today and decided to try for the first time. What is not to like? great roasted salsa, queso blanco smooth and tasty. The enchiladas sunset and ranchero had great flavor and the beef was seasoned excellent. The ranchero beans are great with fresh cilantro and the rice was light, flavorful and cooked perfect. Mr. Jorge and Mr. Gama the managers are very attentive, polite, and sincerely interested in the customers. The wait staff is really great. Their food is always hot and fresh. Went to Manny's Saturday night. Got tableside guacamole because it sounded good, but A. It was not made tableside. B. It was much too salty. C. Either the chips were too brittle or the guac too thick because they kept splintering and I had to send in a LOT of rescue chips. Wife got spinach enchiladas. I had steak - probably should have got carne asada instead but the steak came with some awesome-sounding veggies. Veggies were good and steak well-seasoned. Seemed way bigger than the 10 oz claimed on the menu, but who's complaining? Waitress brought us tortillas for free (we didn't ask - she offered) so that was nice. read more

Manny's takeout SERVICE is so primitive that you will never get your order correctly. It's a hassle to give the order over phone or online. You WILL receive the Wrong order, or a shorted order. And plan to wait forever. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY SPECIFIC PROCEDURES on takeout orders. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU PAY AND LEAVE WITH ORDER, or you will be returning back to the restaurant. 4 of us went to dinner & it was rough from the start. Hostess sat us at a dirty table and left. We stood around until we could locate an employee to assist us with finding a clean table free of grease and used silverware. Service was rough from the get go but that's the normal for right now. When food did arrive it was barely warm & very bland. When considering the price point...it's pretty expensive for such poor quality meals. First, the bartender couldn't understand a top-shelf margarita with a tequila different than the one on the menu. Second, the table side guacamole was not made table side. Third, the queso was cold by the time the guacamole arrived. Fourth, it took over 10 minutes to get someone to take our order. Fifth, while the vegetable enchiladas came out piping hot (you could see the steam), the cheese in the cheese enchiladas came out cold. Sixth, no one apologized for the poor food and poor service until I asked to speak to a manager. Seventh, the manager said "come back and I will take care of you next time." How is "getting taken care of" going to fix cold food and bad service. First time - wasted time - last time. And I still spent over $75. Maybe I am the one that deserves a bad review. read more
