The complimentary chips and salsa were very good. Chips were warm and crispy, not greasy, and the salsa had good flavor but could have used a pinch of salt. We started with margarita's. I had the "Million Dollar" which actually cost $20. I asked for "straight up" and received a full glass instead of half as some places are prone to serve. The flavor was on the sweet side but I enjoyed it very much and had another. The wife had a Mexican martini and enjoyed it. The wife and I split Manny's queso, which is queso with guacamole, sour cream, and ground beef on the side that you mix in. It was very tasty and we finished with no problem. The wife and I split the chicken fajitas and it was very good as well. The chicken was tender and moist, and was well seasoned. It comes with the usual accompaniments. The food came out hot and there was not a long wait. Our server Gladys was friendly and efficient. This overall experience was very good and we enjoyed it a lot. First time at Mannys and I must say it was terribly busy which is not a bad thing on a Friday night. I can say once I sat down I was forgotten about for a bit until my server came back to me. I was waiting for someone but I wanted to get my drink and appetizer order in before they got there. Luckily that did happen and the food was pretty good. I got a basic order of chicken fajita nachos and fingers crossed you can't really mess up nachos lol. Since it was busy we did sit on the patio and even tho it was chilly outside they did have warmers going but towards the end of the visit they cut them all off which if you still have customers out there being served then should have kept them on. I will say what I was Impressed by was that the management team was constantly walking around making sure customers were taken care of. Pretty bummed this is nothing like the Mannys off Lemmon. Food was very bland, had enchiladas and queso. Neither tasted good or like it had been seasoned- ever. The drinks were not well balanced. Noticed regulars moving to the bar and after our meal we did as well- now we know why- better service and drinks. The bartender was funny, attentive and charming. This was my original go to in the past. I use to love this location. It has gone down hill the last 5-6 times I have been there. I write this out of disappointment for the location. The last three times. There were only 4 people at the bar and maybe two tables seated. It still took an hour to get a half order of quesadillas. It has gotten worst every time I have gone. I have given up. It is obvious it's management. The manager literally stopped the bartender bringing my food and talked to him so long I almost got up to take the food from him but the bartender saw me keep looking and finally brought it. I wanted to take my granddaughter somewhere different for our afternoon last Saturday. It was 2pm so I figured this shopping center wouldn't be too busy and they weren't. A clean dining room with bold colors here & there, greenery in the right places, but they had the music way too loud for an almost empty room. When I finally asked them to turn it down, they did immediately. Our food was so fresh! I didn't want rice and beans, so I ordered a chicken enchilada, a soft cheese taco and a crunchy taco. I never eat all my food, but I forced myself to this time - that tells you how good it was. I could have used a little less sauce on the enchiladas but they were very good. The shrimp taco was fresh, the shrimp was full of flavor and a good size, I loved that it was cut up into small bites. All ingredients were served on the side, so I was able to choose how much to add to each bite. It was delightful. My granddaughter ordered the Yoselina's plate - a beautiful plate and she loved it. Her taco was perfect - crunchy with fresh ingredients. Our server was professional, friendly and brought our food out fresh and hot. She checked on us a couple of times and asked if we wanted anything else - good thing, because we wanted some dessert! The only disappointment of the day, the sopapillas were bland and we both tasted a hint of not-so-fresh-oil they were cooked in. The butter pats were almost frozen, so useless and didn't taste fresh. Came here last week while helping set up my daughter classroom; apparently she must come here quiet often as the servers knew exactly what she wanted to drink and eat. Love that. Not what it used to be. I have dined at Manny's for 7 years and this last year everything has changed to be a regular, generic, bland tex-mex restaurant. The ambiance changed from an authentic tex-mex restaurant to something that was a little more gentrified. The music is now American. The food used to be amazing every- single-time. The last three times I have visited the food was under-whelming. Beans are a bit weird now, rice was under-seasoned, the salsa is different, and the chips used to be better. So glad this place has a location in Dallas again. I have been a fan of manny's for years. This location has a great patio. The food was just as I remembered it the last time I went. We got the queso with the beef, guacamole and sour cream (I think it used to be called the Bob Armstrong) and chicken and beef fajitas. We both liked the chicken fajitas better than the beef but both were good. Tried a skinny margarita and a Cadillac margarita - both were good with pretty presentations. I would also give a shout out to Israel out server. He was honestly one of the best servers I have had at any Dallas restaurant in a long time. They are able to make many dishes without cilantro for those that can't eat it. The chips can be very addicting. The queso is exceptionally good and as addicting as the chips! On my last trip, I had beef enchiladas and they were spicy, tasty and filling! The beef was rich, juicy and flavorful! The salad before the meal was very fresh and delicious! My favorite place to come with my girls after a crazy week! We absolutely love their margs (my go to is the Texas Rita!!! a MUST). We always order their sunset queso to pair with our drinks. We got the Cadillac margarita, pineapple margarita, skinny margarita, and the Manny Taxi. The only halfway decent drink was the Manny Taxi. Now let's get into the food. For an appetizer, we got the chili con queso. Complete trash. Rico's cheddar tasted better than this. It had a weird consistency and didn't even taste like cheese. We traded that in for the queso Blanco which was much better. My husband got the enchiladas pablano. He said they were ok. I got the pork tamale because I just wanted a taste. I got the flautas for my entree, and they were tasteless. My daughter got the bean and cheese nachos and said they were meh. She got the full order and it was like 8 chips on her plate. Total scam. We left a while alcoholic beverage and I only ate one flautas and didn't take the leftovers. 0/10 do not recommend. My family recently ordered pick up from Manny's Uptown Tex-Mex. We all enjoyed what we ordered. We especially appreciated that they gave us two giant bags of chips and 2 large bowls of salsa with our order, unprompted. (I didn't expect that to come, for free, with our take out meal). Manny's offers something for everyone, including plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options. Everything tasted delicious. While we didn't dine in, the staff acted nice when we picked up our meal and the restaurant looked clean and well-kept. Do cheaper options exist for Mexican food in Dallas? Yes. But, for the convenient location and quality food with additional vegan options, I find Manny's Uptown Tex-Mex a great place to grab lunch or dinner! read more

This spot is delicious and they have several super nice touches. Number 1 is that they are SUPER family friendly. They've got the plastic cups for the kids, a good kids menu with more than just chicken nuggets and servers that are super friendly with the kids. One of my favorites is their salsa: Always super fresh, and with an appropriate kick. They also always bring everyone their own salsa which I love. On this visit, I got the fish tacos and we also had some margs, table-side guacamole, and a chicken entree. Everything was super delicious and the margaritas are served in some nice LARGE glasses!!! It looks like it came from a can. I've used frozen spinach & made my own spinach enchiladas fresher than this. Also, it's sour...don't know why it's sour, but it's sour. Beef Chimichanga - Beef had good flavor, but tough. Overall, a lot of things were below average & very disappointing, but edible, so 2/5 stars. Would not get food from this place again. I am not sure if management changed since the last time we visited but today around 8:30 we went. We were seated and ordered our drinks, I ordered a manny taxi with tajin and a water. I received my drinks with out tajin and no water. After about 10-15 min of being seated our server was nowhere to be seen and there were at least 5-6 servers standing around. We waited about 25 min to place our order and no one helped us. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I told the front staff our server forgot about us and we would like to leave and pay for our drinks, not one apology they just rang us up and we left. Most of the hospitality and attention seemed to be for the Caucasian customers. We were not entitled to the same treatment and hospitality as the other customers around us. This will probably be the last time I will attended Manny's and it's unfortunate because we really enjoyed the food and service they used to provide. read more

Amazing service; we arrived at 9:15 they closed at 10:00. Sat immediately, greeted by busser (I think?) he took our drink order and they were perfect. Soon after waiter brought chips and salsa and took our order. He didn't write anything down but our food was exactly as requested.
