The Ashley handed me a menu, thank you. I see a brick fired oven just behind the counter. Now I could go into detail about the counter but that would spoil it for you. Beer and wines are featured, good ones too. They pretty much have it all here, really. I ordered a small garden salad tossed with blue cheese, no housemade dressings here. An individual 9" pie, a favorite "the Rustic Carnivore". The next size up was 11". I grabbed a Tropical Iced tea and found a hi-top placed front and center with the screen. I went to the restroom, washed up and my salad was being delivered. My pizza showed up as I was nearly done with the salad oh yea. The Pie was cut in fourths, so it was a folded slice to eat, that works. My favorite touch was the white sesame seeds on the crust--they added a subtle sweetness that complemented all the savory flavors so well. We got the seasonal salad, which was solid. This rotates based on what's in season - it had nectarines, tomato, burrata - nice and clean, but the portion was pretty small. We also got the chicken cutlet, which came covered in a salad-type mixture. The salad topping was actually great, I would've eaten this as a salad by itself, but the chicken cutlet didn't have much flavor or seasoning. The sun-dried tomatoes in the topping helped add flavor, but on its own, the chicken was very thick and bland. We also got 2 pizzas, Girl Crush and Chicago Fire. These were thin crust pizzas, and while the dough and the toppings were good, there was WAY too much cheese on them. I say this as a cheese lover, but the pizzas were weighed down so heavily by the cheese that it was very difficult to pull slices apart. The ratios just seemed off. Flavor wise, we preferred the Girl Crush. The lemon fragrance is pretty strong on the Chicago Fire, so it overpowered the other flavors.
