The calamari wasn't over salted And the garlic bread was some of the best baked bread I EVER HAD! For our pizza we ordered the Delta King! It was really good and tasted super fresh! We had to take it home because we didn't expect to completely smash on the appetizer the way we did lol. My dad ordered the Clam Chowder and it was bomb!! He said he would love to simply pick up some Clam Chowder and bread for a light meal. To drink I ordered the Azteca... I'm not a big coffee drinker but this drink put a big smile on my face and I had the whole table try and we were all surprised how good it was! We were camping locally and wanted to go out to dinner one night and found this place by YELP reviews. The Yelp reviews were great and they didn't disappoint. This restaurant is in the tiny town of Isleton. There is street parking out front. They have A/C seating inside (thank goodness) and patio seating with a nice fountain outside. We were a group of 6 and made reservations the day before. We got there early and they had the table all set and were ready for us to sit down right away. We had a male waiter who was working so hard and so fast and did a great job. Very happy with the service. We ordered 4 different pizzas and 2 different salads. Everything was fresh and delicious. The food is good so it makes up for the lack of quality service. Placed an online order for curbside pickup, got the text my order was ready and waited an additional 20 minutes when it was never brought out I walked in to pick it up. I stood there for close to 10 minutes with the waitress walking back and forth and never once even said hello I'll be with you in a minute. I had to finally flag down the bar tender and ask if there was someone who could help me. He was polite and quickly went to the back to get my $100 order. Wow! What a yummy discovery in Isleton. Dine-In is available during COVID 19, their menu offers pizza, salad and more fine dining style entrees. Their patio area is clean, well spaced and charming... they display their protocols clearly for the safety of their guests. My waiter Stephen stood out. He offered suggestions throughout the menu while adding a warm and inviting energy to the evening. In spite of it of being a full house on a Sunday night - he offered intuitive, friendly personalized service. In addition to a very fresh dinner salad (kudos for a mixed green salad that has perfect lettuce!) ordered a Mediterranean pizza which had a nice amount of toppings and excellent flavor. Wanted to let you know right away that this is a great restaurant in the Delta!! We sat in their lovely courtyard in 100 degrees and sure it was very hot but it felt very Italian and lovely. Two words: Shrimp Scampi! So so good. This was our first time going to Manny's and sat in their outdoor seating area, and it was so lovely. They did a great job designing the area with the string lights, succulents, and how the seating was arranged. You feel as if you are in your own private setting. The food is really good too. But the interior and the patio have been extensively renovated, and are immaculate. The menu is focused on pizzas, pasta, calzones, etc. We had the delicious Pear and Cheese Fiocchi (with local ingredients), and the Polpetta Calzone, which had housemade meatballs and a light and airy wrap. I got a pizza and paid for extra pepperoni, which did not get put on. I discovered when I got home and didn't want to go back. Took a friend there for dinner. It was crowded and we were put at a long table right in front of the bar. Had people's butts brushing against my head for a half hour until we moved to the end of the table. Perfect cook, a little brown on bottom, and perfect crust when you pick a slice it holds firm, but is somehow soft and doesn't collapse. One had the Delta King pizza which is basically a combo. Excellent pizza. Cooked perfectly. The real test is a simple pepperoni pizza. Perfect ratio of sauce-cheese-pep. Also cooked perfect. One had the pepperoni calzone, also cooked perfectly, my son said it's pretty much a big delicious hot pocket :) Last one had the fried chicken sandwich(they called it a chicken burger). Very good fried chicken breast and on a brioche bun. We actually were full, but decided on dessert since we love great food and wanted to keep going lol. We got the cannolis, chocolate lava cake, caramel cheesecake, and chocolate covered spumoni ice cream. All the desserts were sooooooo good and the cannoli were the best I've ever had. Stopped Sunday, 04/16/23 on reccomendation from a local. Ordered Carbonara pasta, and a Calzone. The Carbonara noodles were swimming in what I can olny call puddled water... no "sauce". Later, as the noodles were moved around, for the last couple bites, the starch in the noodles combined with the egg on the bottom of the dish to make it like French scrambled eggs. The Pancetta that is supposed to be used to give that smokey, bacony flavor was some thick bacon that seemed boiled, so that all of the texture and flavor was gone! The "Parmasan Cheese" on the top was the "powder type" that was totally flavorless. The whole thing was like eating flavorless, boiled noodles... no smokey Panchetta, no garlic, no creamy egg sauce, no cream, no liquid other than water. THIS IS NOT CACIO e PEPE! It s supposed to be CARBONARA! Creamy! The best flavor in it was the salt and pepper I put on it! NO KIDDING. Had my girlfriend attest. She agreed. She got the Calzone. On the other hand. it had so much garlic in it that it made it disgusting! The tomato sauce used was tasteless. The dipping red sauce was just that... RED SAUCE. It was something between tomato sauce out of a can and cheap hot sauce out of a bottle! THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU DO NOT USE QUALITY INGREDIENTS and have PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE cooking and waiting! I asked the middle aged waiter if this was always what the Carbonara looked like. He gave me the "Oh ya! It's always like that. That's the Carbonara." I told him that it sould not be like that, that it should be a creamy egg sauce and before I could say "boiled bacon" he walked away. Thanks! Won't ever be back! Was going to get a pizza, but figured that if it had the same sauce the Calzone had then it wasn't worth it. I love to give good reviews, but no way! This place is really bad and doesn't care. That said, the atmosphere was nice. 4 TVs over the bar. Newer nice wooden tables and cool wooden seat and back steel chairs. The Blood Orange Beer was delicious, but that's not enough. Unfortunately, we didn't take photos, but for anyone from that staff reading this review here is what Carbonara SHOULD look like! And get some good Parmasan. MY GAWWWWWWD!
