My husband and I were just out for a drive and started to get hungry and came across this place! And I'm so glad we did!! The restaurant gives off like a classy winery/bar. There is a real rustic fell when you walk in! The staff was extremely friendly and acknowledged my husband and I as soon as we came in! The food OMG the food!! The pizza was absolutely delicious!! The crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh!! And the cannoli I haven't had a delicious crisp cannoli since I was growing up in Michigan!! We came for dinner on the last night of our family camping trip and we were so happy that we decided to try this place out! It is a neat building, with cool wooden furniture inside and a beautiful patio! (If it wasn't 100* we would have loved to sit out there!) Their employees were also ON IT. We saw them hustling and running around taking care of their customers the whole time. We made a reservation for 6:30 but arrived early around 6:15 and they had our table ready to go. Their menu has a TON of different pizza combinations, you can also make your own, their are yummy looking appetizers, a few different salads, and pasta entrees that sounded delicious too. We all ended up getting salads & pizza. We tried the wedge and the Caesar and both were delicious! The large was a little on the small side but was plenty for two people with pizza. Their pizzas were SO YUMMY!!! I got the steamboat, my hubby got the capricciosa w/ pepperoni instead of ham, my brother got the bbq chicken, and my parents got the cheesy polpetta. Isleton is funny. Some days nothing is open. Others it's a smorgasbord of a town. Today, no working restrooms except public dock. Luckily Manny's has a diverse menu, attentive friendly staff and cold drinks. Great pizza with possibly the best crust I've had in California. The setting, family friendly local bar vibe, fits Isleton to a tee. One negative note-a personal PET peeve-Someone brought their pocket/purse dog in as we were leaving. We come to this place almost every 2 weeks! Its so fresh and delicious, we've tried most of the appetizers and they are yummy. Garlic bread and fries are on point, the shrimp is super fresh and not overcooked. The pizza is on another level, the cheese blend is delightful, and pepperoni perfectly crispy. Went here a few years ago, didn't have a great experience and decided to try them again today. We ordered a glass of house Chardonnay and an order of calamari. Before my drink was on the table, the server asked to take our dinner orders. I'm very glad I waited to place dinner order until we tried the appetizer and I got my glass of wine. My glass of Chardonnay was warm, it seemed that the bottle had not been chilled and the ambient temperature glass was cooler than the wine. The calamari was exceptionally chewy but not overcooked. The dipping sauce had promise but can't overflavor texture issues. We had a sip of the wine and a bite of the calamari when I realized that this meal really wasn't worth having here and decided to cut our losses, leave hungry, and leave the full order of calamari and wine. read more

Excellent! Would definitely come back. Peter's was closed so we decided to finally try Manny's. The outdoor area is nice, and there are shaded or more sunny spots. You might get a little spray if you are right next to the fountain. I had the pear and cheese fiocchi. They're basically mini dumplings, like if you put a little present in crepe paper, spun it to seal it, and had some leftover crepe paper at the top for fun flair. The pear inside is a little sweet like honey, and I think there is a mixture of gorgonzola, mushroom, bleu cheese, and tasty fried pancetta in the sauce. From 1 to 5 where 1 is watery and 5 is thick, the sauce was about a 2.5, just in the middle. I thought this might mean that it wouldn't adhere well to the pasta, but it did and, if anything, it worked better to spoon sauce into the crevices of the fiocchi. If you've ever had a pear, honey, and gorgonzola pizza, this is basically the pasta form of that. The sauce is great with the two slices of thick toast, which were golden with butter (but not oily) crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think the saltiness, creaminess, and funkiness of the sauce was just right. I would get this again, but will prolly try something else next time. My partner got chicken piccata, which is what he usually orders to judge a restaurant. He prefers his piccata flatter, but this one was still very good. It was tender and juicy, and he was impressed with the quality of the sauce and the brightness of the lemon in it. He said some places add cream and he doesn't like that, this one didn't seem creamy so he liked it. And he thought the capers were good quality too. If you've never had this before, at Manny's, you get two pieces of chicken, roughly the same size as the two pieces of bread (almost same thickness, slightly thinner). It has a breading on the outside but it is soft with a light sauce, and the chicken is very tender and juicy. The sauce is salty with capers, bright and zesty with lemon, i don't know how to describe white wine flavor, and slightly oily (maybe butter). This dish is also served with I think an angel hair pasta or spaghetti, as well as an excellent broccolini (blanched or fried just right, salty and crunchy). I only wish there was more broccolini. We also had tiramisu. It was not the best we've had, but we had no regrets. It is a cakier tiramisu with more emphasis on the whipped cream, whereas we prefer ones that are more like a tres leches, a little dense and very moist. If you've never had tiramisu before, it is basically coffee candy in the form of a somewhat light/airy cake (with some mild, moist density at the bottom). I felt the serving sizes were just right (no leftovers for us here), and service was good. read more

Great location, way better pizza than what is in Rio Vista by far. The cheese bread is a great addition or appetizer. Besides the pizza i have not tried many items yet on the menu but i can recommend the wedge salad and the linguini with clams. I do wish they had the Cioppino but you will need to head over to Lucy's in Rio Vista if you want that. Service is friendly and tentative. Manny's has indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has nice lighting for the evenings and has over head heat lamps that cover the entire patio area. Overall the pricing is good for today's inflated market. And if you like alcohol with your food Manny's has a wide variety of wine, liquor, and beer both bottled and tap. We highly recommend this restaurant! The food is remarkably good, and the ambiance is nice with a spacious patio area with a pleasant fountain. But most of all, the people working here were extremely nice! I made a reservation for 12 people in our car club, and we were on a tight time schedule; they opened the restaurant one hour early for us! When we hit traffic on our way and I called to notify them, they were very accommodating. Even with our large group, they made up separate checks for us. We were really impressed by the pizza presentation and taste that we have from this location. This is probably the best pizza we've had from any location. It was cooked perfectly and well with our drink choices. I had an Irish coffee, which was really good a little strong on the alcohol for my liking, but it was still really good, especially topped with the whipped topping. Our waitress was very nice and polite on us at the right amount of times making it a pleasant visit, not filling neglected nor filling being covered over. We actually were not expecting the location to be as presentable and nice as it was on the inside when you're walking from the outside, it definitely has the representation of an old building but a lot of remodeling has been done to the place. It is. Door design so like large barn doors, but I will admit some of the original openings of the wood I think allows too much visual to or from your bathroom neighbor. But cleanliness of this location I give it a five out of five with whom we were assisted with. We gave it a five out of five. We sat outside during our first visit here. It was very windy. I would've liked to have had a chance to know what it felt like to have their outdoor heaters on, but no one there seem to have turned him on. The outdoor patio seating is really nice. It is section seating based off of their staffing to ensure that all of their customers get proper service and are not being neglected. Which I think is fair. But like I stated we enjoyed our visit. What an awesome find on the delta today!!! Awesome place. We came in for lunch and our server Esther was amazing, such great energy. We tried the Palloncino as a starter and the garlic butter and puff of bread was warm and lovely. I had some of the fresh homemade iced tea and it was delicious. We ordered a Large Greek pizza and had a few slices and plenty to take home for dinner later. Didn't have room for dessert but they had some good choices. Peter's Steakhouse was closed ( nice prime rib) so we opted for Manny's across the street. We had the Canadian bacon pizza and a cheeseburger. Both excellent. Cheeseburger was huge. 1/2 lb. I think. And the fries were REAL fries! Yum! Excellent service, good ambience, and very clean bathrooms. Unfortunately, only street parking I think. There is a side lot, but it seemed for limited outdoor seating and apparently not for restaurant parking. No problem, there were plenty of spaces within a block walking distance. read more

So looking from the building from the outside looks like a cool nostalgic pizza joint. Walking in the service was great being greeted and welcomed. After talking to the bartender and several Abigail it was certain to say she was definitely recommending us to get the pizza. We stopped in after the crawdad festival. Ordered the isleton pizza and it was disgusting. Menu says it comes with crawfish or shrimp. Waitress didn't ask which one and just gave us the shrimp. The pizza tasted like it had mini Costco frozen shrimp and was absolutely awful. The pesto had a sour flavour. One piece was all I could stomach. While waiting for a table I read the sign outside which says no animals in restaurant unless it's an ada service dog, even mentions that emotional support dogs are unacceptable. They do not even adhere to their own posted policy. Couple had a dog under their table inside the restaurant. This was very obviously not a service dog. The couple carried fluffy into the restaurant. No service dog labeling on dog. This is a health department violation and against California law. If the owner reads this I would greatly appreciate an explanation and a refund. read more

We decided to take a drive for a Sunday lunch. What a find Manny's was! Turned out it was the Sunday of the.Crawdad Festival. I had the MB burger and my wife had the Artichoke Pizza. The burger was cooked to perfection (I like it rare) and was very tasty. The pizza was likewise awesome! Not heavy loaded with cheese, very flavorful. The service by Abbie was perfect. Fresh fresh veggies, Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, Canadian bacon, linguica, red onions, mushrooms, bell pepper, (and the olives on the side, please). The bar is competently stocked with the liquors most patrons would expect, and the restaurant also offers a wide variety of craft and popular beers. Since we were here last, this owner has done a lot to upgrade the interior into a comfortable, cozy, clean facility. And the employees greet you with a welcoming smile. Stopped in here while on the road from Sacramento to Oakland. Quant little town, and I was happily surprised to find such a quality restaurant. I got half MB Quattro Carne and half Steamboat, with a side of ranch (no pizza can exist without rance, and this was the good stuff!). We are from out of town and found this Jen the last time we were here and absolutely had to go back!! The wings and pizza (what we had both times) are some of the best we have ever had!
