He changed my oil once with the Amsoil that I provided. He instructed me to buy an oil pan plug from the Subaru dealership for the next oil change, which I did. When I called this unscrupulous mechanic to schedule my next oil change, he advised me that it was "Not in his business plan to do oil changes on vehicles when the owner provides the high quality oil. ? I find myself wondering what a dealership will find when they check that oil pan plug Lou instructed me to purchase? What did he not tell me? I'm suspicious that the dealership will find that Lou damaged my oil plug. I'm going to the dealership today and if I'm wrong I'll come back to this site and apologize. If I'm right I will be back to spread that news as well. Either way I will be back and meanwhile I urge you to be careful because this guy talks out of both sides of his mouth. Beware.

My first visit was had to do with a leak, he let me know that I needed to replace the part and it cost two hundred and something dollars. He then stated that was outrageous for that part and if I could give him a little time he would be able to find a used one that would work just as good. He also patched the hole at no cost for the time in between. When he did find a part it's total cost was 37 dollars!! He could have charged me a lot more and still save me money but he did not, and that is great service. He oversaw a purchase recently and let us know what would need to be done for the van to be useable and what we should reasonably expect from this purchase. He recently told my sister that her car was no good and he did not want to keep fixing things on it know it was going to keep breaking down. It just appears that he has the best kind of work ethic he wants to keep customers based on a trusting relationship. What more can you ask from someone who is responsible for your safety.

They do have a nice place to get coffee, but not much of a place to sit and relax and no other food places there. It looks like they might have been adding more onto the property, but hard to tell when everything was covered in snow (it is Maine in Feb, can't expect much else!!)
