I was going to get it done there, but realized I'd never know what it was going to sound like until it was on. If I didn't like the sound at that point I'd be stuck. The young girl at that shop actually recommended I check out Lou's and I'm glad she did. Chris (the owner of Lou's) was great. I explained what I wanted and he took the time to temporarily set up different configurations until I got the sound I was looking for. During the install he was meticulous at making sure everything was perfect. I couldn't be happier with the end result and it was about half as much money as it would have been to buy a pre-made kit and have the first shop install it. On a side note I know a guy who is a master welder for over 30yrs. He was extremely impressed at Chris's welds.

My partner and I had a flat tire when we pulled into Portland for vacation. We had a hard time…read moregetting an appointment within 4 hours at other places, so we walked to a coffee shop to camp out and saw this place across the street. They were able to fit us in within the hour and gave us recommendations on what to do until then. Turns out there was nothing visibly wrong with the tire, no holes or anything, so they couldn't do anything on the spot. They didn't charge for the inspection and filling up the tire. We very much appreciated their help and are glad to know we can wait until we get back to deal with the tire instead of worry all weekend. We definitely recommend and would come back if we have a problem (hopefully we don't). Very friendly, great service.
