Due to that matter, I kept going to my regular garage in my hometown...which is 5 hours north. Now when I need something fixed or an inspection, I only go to Paulin's. Their pricing is more than fair, and they won't fix something unless they truly need to. I have had multiple instances where I have gone in for tiny, itty, bitty problems, and they have taken care of me at no or little charge. Any garage could have taken advantage of that and could have charged me for something I didn't need, but not Paulin's. Because of their great service and integrity Paulin's gets 5 stars in my book.

AAA came to jump my car, and when that didn't solve the problem they towed me here. I didn't know what to expect, but I was so pleased by the kindness and promptness of the team here. I had no appointment and understood I could be without a car for a few days. But within 48 hours my car was working and back to me again. Things that stood out-their team is direct and goes above and beyond for you! They told me everything that I needed to know about my car troubles (ultimately a new battery) and things that I should look into (due for oil change and state inspection). They did all of this work for a reasonable price and I know I'll be coming back here in the future (hopefully with a scheduled appointment and not a breakdown). I highly recommend getting your car serviced here :) The do a great job, and it's walking distance to many great coffee and breakfast options if you have time to kill.

My car was overdue for a state inspection and the possibility of needing new tires. I called Duval's Service Center on May 2nd to schedule an appointment. They scheduled me for May 13th, which gave me plenty of time to reschedule more important things. I dropped my car off at the agreed upon time and was told that they would look at it that afternoon. One guy was nice and the other was not. Oh, to be pretty and young again. I never received an update from them. I called and it went unanswered. I left two voicemails and haven't gotten a response. I emailed the address listed on their website and haven't gotten a response. They are closed on Saturdays and Sundays which means I will not make it to my medical appointments this weekend and will probably miss my appointment on Monday. Had they told me that they weren't even going to look at my car at the appointment I had made well ahead of time, I would have never left my car with them. They have my car and my keys, so I have no way to get to anything I need to get to since hiring an Uber would be way too expensive and I cannot afford a rental right now. Scumbags, all of them. This is why I hate ever needing anything automobile related done. I wanted to reach out via Twitter, but their account has been suspended for violating Twitter's rules. Last March I went in for a Maine State Inspection and was told I needed my steering rack replaced…read moreand a rear enforcement bumper. He was quoting $2,500+ for the steering rack and $553+ for the bumper reinforcement. I took my car to three other reputable shops in the Portland area. I was quoted $337 for the bumper reinforcement with OEM part, and the repair man even told my father and I that we could replace it ourselves because my father was able to remove the bumper cover himself. The other shops I went to told me I only needed my inner tie rod replaced including a wheel alignment. I got this repair done for $220 dollars and my car drives great. It is a 2013 Honda CRV with 70,000 miles that has never had issues on the road. The one difference between going to Carter's and going to the other repair shops is that I went ALONE (without my father) to Carter's a as young woman. I remember when I dropped my keys off at Carter's and the man at the desk called me "sweety." Unprofessional and patronizing. Carters is deceitful, greedy, and untrustworthy. Do not come here unless you want to get taken advantage of.

I was than told I would not be allowed wait and they canceled my appt and would reschedule if I could provide someone to pick me up.
