Unfortunately, they were closed due to a medical emergency, so we went to the next closest place which was Eliot Automotive. Although there was a sign out front stating that there was a mechanic on duty, the dude there told us he doesn't do "that kind of work" and he told us to go to Town Fair Tire in Newington. My son's tire was already getting flat again. I asked the dude if he thought we could make it to Town Fair and he said yes and sauntered back into his shop. Thank goodness I followed my son because his tire went completely flat while going over the Piscatiqua River Bridge. He pulled over and we called my husband to come put more air in so my son could continue on to Town Fair. Thanks to Eliot Automotive, my son nearly got into an accident on the bridge. Two days later and I'm still fuming. To top it off, Eliot Automotive shamelessly supports Trump and posts offensive signs outside their establishment. This place is an embarrassment to the town of Eliot.

I brought my car to get brakes done and they put cheap parts on my car. Dana used to be good. Now…read morethat hes older his work is slipping. The part that I don't like is how after they put terrible quality pads and rotors on I went to get them serviced and his buddy told me they were warped because they were cheap parts. I went to go drive it home and would you look at that, warped rotors still. I live 60+ miles from this shop. I called back to try to see what we could do, only to be met with some younger chubby prick yelling at me saying I have to pay $100 more for better parts. I paid to have pads and rotors that would last more than a week without squealing every time I hit the brake pedal. He offered to put pads and rotors on again but with the same terrible quality parts. Dana says "I'll give you your money if you bring the parts back." Like where are my old rotors buddy? You want me to just take them off and leave my car with no wheels? I paid you over $800 and my car isn't even safe to drive. So if you bring your car here, he will put cheap parts on your car. If you want them to break after a few weeks and keep bringing it back to him hes got your back. A while back I brought a deville in to him to have him tilt the engine and check on the blower motor, when I drove home the radiator hose came off and got coolant all over the place. He lied and said that he never went into the front of my engine. Dude the hose would only pop off from you tilting the engine and putting pressure on the hose. No big deal I'll just put it back on but don't lie about it and assume I don't know you had to drop the engine to get to the blower motor. Check your cars paint when you bring it here too. They love to scratch your car in their mess of a shop. I let that stuff go because everyone makes mistakes, even if they aren't 100% honest I still try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Well now I'm not doubting anything, this guy is a crook.

I brought my car in to get my fuel pump replaced a little over a year ago. Dana quoted me $1200 and…read morecharged me $1300, which isn't crazy. When I got my car back it was leaking gas, so I called him back and he scheduled me for a week or two out (which always seems to be the case at this place) and I assumed he would fix it for free because I paid him $1300 and I get my car back spewing gas everywhere. Seems like something that would be covered. Wrong. Charged me like $200 to swap a hose clamp. Whatever. At least my car is fixed now. Wrong. Still spewing gas everywhere. So I called him back and told him he didn't fix what I just paid him to fix. Okay. Scheduled me for a week or two out again. Definitely covered this time, right? I paid him to fix the gas leak and he didn't fix the gas leak. Wrong. This time it's like $300 to actually swap out the cracked fuel line. Fast forward 11 months and the fuel pump goes again, so I call Norton's and ask if it's under warranty. Dana says he'll warranty the pump, but not the labor. Okay, that's probably a better deal than I'll get somewhere else, so I wait the prescribed week or two and take it back to Norton's. $900 later and I have a new fuel pump. This one lasts 3 weeks. 3 weeks. So I call back Dana again and say, "Three weeks is covered, right?" "Yes. Bring it in next Tuesday" So I get it towed there after the week wait and Dana calls me Friday afternoon and says, "I can't keep buying fuel pumps for this thing. They're not warrantied. How about you buy it?" So at this point I'm a little pissed because he knew for a week that I was bringing my car in there and then had it for a full week before he even thought about buying the part he needed to fix the thing. So I go online and everything I see has limited warrantees on fuel pumps. Like you need to swap out the fuel filter for example. So I don't know where Dana is getting these fuel pumps with no warrantees, but he charged me $400 for the first one, which is 3 or 4 times more than these fuel pumps I'm seeing with limited warrantees. So I supply the part and wait and wait and wait for over 2 more weeks and I'm like "Dana really doesn't care about getting this repair done because he's doing it for free." Wrong again. I show up yesterday to pick up my car and he charges me $500. I say, "You told me this was covered and I had to supply my own part." He says I misunderstood him. Keep in mind I have been going to Norton's for years because it was close to home and convenient for me, so this is how Dana treats his long term loyal customers. Feel free to go to Norton's if you want a similar experience.
