Large tomato pie( thin crust, very good)
    Vince S.

This one falls into the hidden gem category for me. Driving by I hardly gave this place a thought. It is surrounded by the Mercer county kings of tomato pie( 2 Delos and Papas!) not to mention great sandwich shops and Italian markets. We were looking for a place to bring my uncle for a Saturday lunch. My choices all were closed for lunch and my cousin suggested we try Mannino's. Looking it up on Yelp for the first time I noticed some very positive recent reviews, my concern turned to modest optimism. We sat in the pizzeria side, I already knew I'd order a tomato pie. My cousins both ordered large salads, and my uncle had 4 cheese pasta . It was an option I've never seen him order elsewhere so I made sure that's what he wanted. To me it looked like penne tossed in a white cheese sauce with sausage, broccoli and mushrooms. He loved it! It was an enormous portion and came with soup which he took home. My cousins both liked their choices too. One was a seared piece of salmon on top of a large salad, the other thinly breaded eggplant. Both with lots of salad ingredients as well as fresh mozzarella. I thoroughly enjoyed my tomato pie. It looked the part, and more importantly was thin and perfectly cooked. A slice held taut with only two finger supporting it. The sauce was acidic and also slightly sweet. And a perfect sauce to cheese ratio that kept the undercarriage from getting soggy. Now you may ask if it was as good as the previously cited places, and I'd have to say, it's pretty close! To test this I went back a few days after to order the pesto pie. This was huge and filling, and very tasty too. Service was friendly if a little confused. But the prices and food quality made up for it. I picked up the bill and was astonished, $52 for 4 people! 3 of us had leftovers too. My uncle will be celebrating his 97th birthday this month and driving home I asked where he wanted to go for it. He replied he'd like to come back here. It should be noted that there is an updated dining room that would suit such occasions well. We'll be back soon....

    Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich

Mannino's 3 is a small, unassuming Italian eatery/pizzeria located on Route 33 in Hamilton Square that's been around for decades. While it doesn't look like much on the outside, the interiors have been updated and are tastefully done, which make it very welcoming and a great place to have a meal. We tried a variety of items over 2 visits including a plain cheese and Sicilian slice, garlic knots, penne vodka, and a chicken parmigiana sandwich. Both the standard cheese and Sicilian slices (3/5) were just ok, without much flavor in the cheese and otherwise unimpressive. Growing up, I remember them having better pizza, so perhaps ingredients have changed over the years. The garlic knots (4/5) were really good, and unlike most places in the area, had a bit of a kick to them...I think mixed in with the garlic and oil was a hint of crushed red pepper, which really elevated their taste to make them stand out. Most eateries don't get too creative with their garlic knots, so I give Manninos credit for trying something different. The penne vodka (3.5/5) was an above average recipe typical of area Italian restaurants, sure to satisfy your penne vodka craving, and came with a decent complementary side salad. The chicken parmigiana sandwich (3.5/5) was also good, but nothing special about the recipe to distinguish it. The service (4.5/5) was very friendly and cordial; while most of the staff consists of upbeat high school kids, the waitress we had on our most recent visit seemed to have been there for decades (perhaps family of the owners) and seemed to be on top her game, taking a lot of pride in her work. Overall, I'd rate Manninos a 3.5/5, which is my rating for a perfectly solid and wholesome central NJ Italian eatery/pizzeria, but happy to round up given the friendly service, pleasant decor, and extremely reasonable prices.

Shoutout to Sarah for the excellent service. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Our mac & cheese bites came out super quick and were very tasty, and the pizzas were soooo good. Pricing was surprisingly low & they value military discount. So happy I decided to come by for the first time on my birthday. Definitely a hidden gem on 33!

My friend who lives in the area has brought me pizza here on a few occasions. I like their white pizza with broccoli and tomatoes. I have also had their Sicilian, grandma, and regular pizza. That's where the 2 stars come in to play as they were horrible! They make the worst red sauce here! It has no flavor at all! The dough to the Sicilian slice was too hard! The quality of cheese they use to their pizzas wasn't great either! If your looking for a white slice those are pretty good/decent here, but don't even waste your time getting anything else.

Salmon with couscous and asparagus- excellent dish with a light and moist flavor.

Don't make the novice mistake of judging a book by its facade. While most know this establishment as a pizza place, step in from the parking lot to be dazzled with a new decor all the way down to the plates and flatware. The menu items are excellent and a wide selection that even stumped me. Friendly staff, great choices that can be adjusted to your taste and needs. Excellent ingredients and flavorful dishes abound. Plus, you'd be surprised that it doesn't break the bank, hence you can come often and still not have tried everything the menu. A delightful find that will for sure surprise you. Bring friend, lots of soace and parking in back too. Byo

Quality of this place went down hill. Order a vodka rigatoni pizza, has barely any pasta, it's all vodka sauce. Not going here anymore

Can really only recommend the tomato pie here; definitely not the regular pizza. Go if you can't wait/get a call through to Delorenzos.

Pizza is consistently good. It's a staple for Hamilton and Mercer County even with Papa's around the corner

Every bite felt generous and well balanced. We also tried their famous mustard pizza with sausage, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The combination of mustard and sausage is unique and incredibly satisfying. Online the restaurant is listed as BYOB. However, upon arrival we were informed that it was not BYOB, as they now had a liquor license. Okay then, please update your website. The server James was good, but not great. He failed to tell us that a salad came with the meal until after the four us had ordered soup, which was a separate charge. It was not a soup or salad choice with meal and nowhere is it listed on the menu. Lentil and a hearty chicken noodle were the soups of the day. Two of us had the lentil and two the chicken noodle. Both were served piping hot, and very tasty. The entrees were a decent portion and all were good, but not outstanding. The hot Italian Bread was very good. Usually don't find good Italian bread at many of the Italian restaurants in the area. This was an exception. Overall, I would rate it 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

The Veal Sorrentino sounded mouth watering by the ensemble cast of ingredients listed on the menu (prosciutto, eggplant, mozzarella, light marinara-white wine). Overall, this dish was very disappointing, I couldn't taste any flavor in the meal. Once again, the spaghetti from an Italian restaurant was lackluster as well, this is like ordering a wonton soup from a Chinese restaurant and it not meeting your expectations. We tried a gluten free pizza as well, my girlfriend enjoyed it. I can only describe the pizza being almost like a cracker. This is not neccessary a bad thing but think flatbread pizza, not the type of pizza where you get a nice chewy bite. At $50+ plus dollars between the two items I can say I am glad I gave it a shot but I would not bring home take out from here again, I would give it a try in person though and reevaluate after the experience. You won't find philosophical arguments about char or hydration levels happening here. What you will find is a fairly dependable pie with thin crust that holds up, a good layer of cheese, and sauce that tastes like someone has been making it the same way for awhile. The slices fold without complaint and the toppings behave themselves. It's the sort of pizza you bring home on a Friday when everyone is tired and nobody wants to cook or a speech. The prices are kinder to your wallet than the famous spots nearby, and that matters. Not every meal needs to be a religious experience.
