a plate of dumplings and a bowl of sauce

First timer at this home made family owned dumpling spot! Friendly service & flavor packed juicy dumplings! Got ready to eat & frozen dumplings that can be steamed & fried. Kimchee + Pork, Beef + Chives, Pork, Shrimp. Kimchee & Pork was my fave! Can't wait to make some rice cake dumpling soup for New Years. Yum!

the bottom ones are fresh, the dumpling on the top is old, it's at least a day old.

I got dumplings here, but i realized that they use unsold dumplings the next day. some of my dumplings are obvious, some are dried up and soggied then reheated. the pictures says it all. if anyone else sees a dumpling with a texture you see on the top end of the picture, avoid this place. the dumplings in the bottom shows that there is still moisture in them, while the ones on the top shows that it's been dehydrated then reheated by microwave. there is no other explanation for a dumpling to be blown up like that.

Looking for cheap, tasty and filling dumplings in the north jersey area? Mama Best Food is deff your answer. DO NOT plan on taking a hot date here. This is strictly a pick up place. For around $7-$10 you can get 11 dumplings ready to go. Kimchi, Veggie, Pork and hold up...GREEN TEA! never in my life have i heard of them! The veggie ones are delicious and so are the kimchi ones. Love them so much you wanna take them home? Buy a bag for around $14 and you can. dont 4get to pick up some buns or some korean drinks off to the side. Friendly staff & you can even watch the ladies make the dumplings right in front of you. what a process! *they take credit & theres a parking lot&

    Kimchi

Picked up a big pack of frozen kimchi mandu to steam and eat at home. I've heard so many good things about this place and the reviews were all raving about the kimchi mandu... Idk why but the kimchi mandu we received just fell below expectations. Hopefully it was just the mandu we got that was funky, but the kimchi flavor was VERY over-fermented. It tasted a bit sour. Kimchi does have its own unique taste but it was too tangy to eat comfortably or in large amounts.

Horrible pic of half the menu.. Darn.

I wish this place had consulted someone about the name of their store, because it is kind of silly, but MAN- their dumplings are soooo delicious. All they "serve" (take out only) is dumplings, the huge ones that are the size of your head (King dumplings), they have the standard kinds, steamed, deep fried, pan fried, in a few assorted varieties (kimchi, veggie, pork, shrimp, etc.) The entire place is clean clean clean! The women making the dumplings are clearly visible, and the counter old man is super friendly and will tell you the best ways to steam/boil the dumpling treasures. There are no tables, no seats, it is take out only - they have frozen ones boxed up and ready for you. Make a quick stop in, for $10 - 30 pieces of "mama made" dumpling goodness.

First time for me, and hopefully not the last. Unfortunately, I live in DC but this will definitely be on the list of favorite restaurants to return to. FOOD: Holy Shabu-moly! The fish cake, veggie, noodle, dumpling, sauce selection was too much. Seriously, I mean that literally. Patrons are paralyzed by the paradox of choice. Fewer options would help me focus on the essentials and allow me more time eating than deciding. Lol. Honestly I wish I would have just focused on ordering the meats. SERVICE: We had a young waiter who was very attentive, professional, accommodating, and understanding. Also, an older gentleman who I can only imagine was a manager, stopped by to fill our water glasses and ensure we were happy with everything. FACILITY: Not exactly what I would call spacious, especially if this restaurant was packed, but it was very comfortable, especially since we had a large wheelchair. The bathrooms were immaculate. VERDICT: Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.

One that serves vanilla and green tea ice cream and the other that serves vanilla and mango sorbet. And alll of the ice cream and sorbet were SUPER refreshing. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Friendly and cordial waiters. + Waiters consistently visited us to see how we were doing and to check on if we needed more meat or seafood. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Spacious interior with lots of tables. + Private parking lot in the front and to the side. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------- + Even on a Monday late morning to early afternoon, there were 4-5 tables occupied, including us. Considering how good the food is here, I can totally see this spot getting very busy on weekends. + As of April 2026, the all you can eat pricing is very reasonable with it ranging from $18.95 - $35.95, depending on the time of day (lunch or dinner), day of the week (weekday or weekend/holiday) and whether you want to include meats and seafood (which I TOTALLY recommend).

They make their LA galbi really well, too. (La falling not in the pic i posted). "Comfort in a Stone Bowl Every Single Time"…read more BCD Tofu House is one of those rare spots that never lets you down. Reliable, comforting, and consistently flavorful, it is my go to whenever I am craving something hot, hearty, and deeply satisfying. My standard order is the Spicy Heamul Soon Tofu combo with L A galbi, and it hits every single time. The seafood tofu stew arrives bubbling in a stone bowl, rich with spice and packed with shrimp, clams, and silky tofu. The broth has depth and heat without overwhelming the palate, and cracking an egg into the stew right away makes it even more indulgent. The L A galbi in the combo is the perfect companion. Tender, slightly sweet, and beautifully caramelized. Here is my advice for anyone ordering the same: once you finish the meat, drop the bones into the still boiling broth. It adds another layer of savory richness and maximizes every ounce of flavor in that bowl. The banchan spread rounds everything out perfectly, offering freshness and crunch to balance the heat. Steamed rice and a cold drink alongside it all make for a complete and satisfying meal. The atmosphere is lively and casual, and service is quick and efficient. This is not a place for lingering over fine dining. It is a place to dig in and enjoy.

The fish balls, fish cakes, fish tofu, and bean curd rolls also tasted of freezer burn, which was nasty. The fact that these items tasted "old" says a lot about the low quality and food safety at a restaurant that's been running for years. The sushi also tasted like it sat out for a long time with its extra firm rice grains. We had two Koreans within our group and one of them flagged down a Korean server to request tongs. She responded abruptly in English as she pointed to the sauce area, "You get up." Mind you, the restaurant was not busy, and we saw her later walk towards other tables full of older Koreans and talking to them politely in Korean. We don't mind getting items ourselves but the ahjummas spoke condescendingly and brushed us off as if we were bothering her. Our party of five got there just before 1, and it was pretty empty except for a few tables. AYCE for weekday lunch with meat/seafood is $28.99. They also have some sushi (not very good because it's packed with rice), and a few cooked items as well. For meat, the waitress suggested the brisket and top blade (which are non-fatty), and it didn't disappoint. We also ordered fatty beef and lamb, which were good as well. The beef wasn't overly fatty, and the lamb didn't have that gamey taste that it can sometimes have. As for all the non-meat/seafood items, they are all self-serve. They've got a good selection of veggies, fish balls, and noodles. The sauce station was also good, and had everything you might want. For dessert, they have melona bars. We ordered 2 combos which seamed like the best bang for the buck to try multiple items. Ordered the following: - Seolleongtang + pancake (add for seafood) $22.99 - soon tofu stew + kalbi $32.99 Both soups were prepared with that good home type feel. Made with care, everything presented well and comes with a side of purple rice. Both types of soup had its very own depth of flavors. Seolleongtang had a cleaner style flavor tofu and broth felt light but full of the ox bone taste coming thru. The soontofu, spicy (i think she gave us regular spice i don't recall specifying the level) and it was perfect balance between spice that complimented the silky tofu. The seafood was generous, shrimp, squid, mussels, clam, octopus. YUM! The pancake was tasty, not overly fried or greasy. THe galbi?????? FIRE. It was so tender, supreme marination on display.
