Manna BBQ is one of my favorite KBBQ spots in Phoenix! So far, I've visited their Glendale and Chandler locations on multiple occasions. This review is based on my previous experience at the Glendale location (7/24), where we were served by Min. All you can eat regular menu: $30.99 per person. We dined around 6PM and were seated pretty quickly. It was probably the quickest service I've ever received at a KBBQ restaurant, although our table was conveniently located near the kitchen. I could tell the staff was working efficiently to get everything ready for the dinner rush they were about to have. I love their banchan (side dishes), especially the white radishes, potato salad, and fish cakes. From their appetizer menu, the corn cheese is a must order and be sure to get the steamed egg & sprinkle some salt and pepper on top. For meats, I always order the chadol baegi (beef brisket) and beef belly. I recommend getting some garlic, ssamjang sauce, and white rice to eat alongside the meat and appetizers. The Manna steak was pretty good as well, but you have to be careful not to overcook it because it can get tough quickly. My only wish is that they had thin sliced pork belly on the menu. It did get a little hot inside with all the grills going, especially with our table being toward the back. I've been here a few times, and I've found that the best time to come is in the morning or right when they open. Everything is incredibly fresh, the restaurant is spotless, and the food quality is at its best. The meat comes out looking fresh, the side dishes are fully stocked, and everything tastes like it was just prepared. The staff does a great job keeping the restaurant clean and making sure everything is organized. You don't have to wait long for refills or additional orders, and the overall atmosphere is much more relaxed before the lunch and dinner rush. If you're planning to eat at Manna BBQ at Westgate, I highly recommend coming early. You'll get the freshest food, the cleanest dining experience, and excellent service. This was my first experience at Manna! I had a friend recommend this place and so I went with a friend and my 2 kids. The waiter explained how it worked we ordered our drinks and meat. It was definitely an experience to cook the meat at the table but fun! Overall I enjoyed the food but not really my jam, I come ready to eat lol! This was my first time ever experiencing Korean BBQ. So what a fun idea for my daughter's birthday celebration dinner. It was a little confusing at first because of the lack of explanation we received from our waitress, however we caught on pretty easily. Appetizers, meat choices and sides were all delicious! Unfortunately, my experience at Manna BBQ was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the environment was uncomfortable. The restaurant was extremely hot, with what appeared to be a small cooler in the front doing very little to cool the dining area. The cleanliness of the restaurant was another major concern. The overall condition of the dining area appeared dirty and poorly maintained, which immediately made the experience unpleasant. The wait staff was also inattentive and did very little to explain how the dining experience worked or what we were supposed to do. As a customer, I shouldn't have to figure out the process on my own, especially at a restaurant where the dining format may be unfamiliar to some guests. The most concerning issue, however, was finding a piece of wire in the noodles. I have no idea where it came from, but finding a foreign object in my food is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food preparation and kitchen cleanliness. Overall, the combination of the heat, cleanliness issues, poor service, lack of communication, and foreign material in the food made for a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Manna BBQ and cannot recommend it based on my experience. read more

Fully honesty. I was very disappointed. I'm not mad, just disappointed. I've been to many Korean BBQ places and this has to be the most okay place, I won't be coming back either. I waited for about an hour for my table, got to the table and it was clean and the server was cool. We ordered our food and it wasn't like a tradition Korean BBQ where you get unlimited sides we got 2 and some white rice. They also gave us soy sauce and salt, no joke, that's it. I'm used to BBQ places where you get kimchi, green onions, fish cakes, maybe some bean sprouts with one other dishes. It was just missing a ton of sides. On top all that there is no sauce bar. Typically Korea BBQ has a huge selection of sauces you can make or they give you 3 or so to try since the meat might come unseasoned and semi frozen. This place thought, mhmmmm, fuck it, give them soy sauce, that'll do the trick. I was kinda bummed, I saw the reviews on Google and thought it might be worth a try. We love Mana! We come here as a family of 4. We always are able to order as many meats at a time as we want. We are always brought cucumbers, sprouts, ginger, kimchi, and some fish item every time we are sat. This is from a very busy Saturday night and we got the same amazing service as always!! Our server was super nice and accommodating, but the food was pretty average, the potatoes weren't the best which is usually a weirdly favorite part of my kbbq experience. Lol The one thing that really made my partner and I almost get sick, was the bathroom smell. After going there it made us almost loose the appetite. When such lovely company invites you to lunch, it's hard to resist! To make it even better, one of them generously offered to treat me. How could I say no to that? The Manna BBQ at Westgate impressed me just as much as the one in Mesa. The food was delicious, and our server, who was also from Mexico, provided exceptional service! While this location didn't have Kimchi or rice in water, my lunch date was adventurous and tried Korean BBQ for the first time, which was a great experience for her. Although I had a fantastic time at the Westgate location, I think I will continue to frequent the Mesa location because of my favorite servers, Bri and Christine, and the shorter drive. This is embarrassing because we came here- literally- because we've been watching K-dramas and they've made us want to try all the dishes we see. Se we sought out this place on Yelp and decided to try it. I will tell you that Korean restaurants are not plentiful in Phoenix- especially the west side-, so it was here or the East Valley. The food was good, but not stellar. It was serviceable Korean BBQ. The meats were fresh and the side dishes were ok. This is an all-you-can-eat place so you pay a flat price and order what you want. The Glabi/kalbi (Korean short ribs) are the best thing on the menu. The pork belly was disappointing and was just thick bacon. The brisket was ok if a bit tasteless and bland. But it was fresh. I loved the fried rice which was excellent, and several of the side dishes. A particular standout was the fried gyoza (actually Japanese), which was pork and was fresh, crisp, hot, and tasty. The side-dish mashed potatoes and pickled cucumber were excellent. You cook your own meat at your table so that was fun. You cut pieces off the meat chunks with provided scissors. The server kept the meats coming so that was good. Why not 5 stars? Well, the meats are bland and all they give you is some sweet soy sauce to put on the meat as you cook it. I could have used some chili oil, garlic, chili flakes, white pepper, or other condiments. The selection of dishes is somewhat limited and many Korean dishes are not offered. Also the japchae was pretty bad. Over-salty and fishy and tasted old. The service was ok. She didn't know much and didn't speak much English. So she couldn't answer our many questions. She was also not super knowledgeable about a lot of Korean dishes. Overall I'd say this is a fun place to come with friends or a date. It's a fun experience to cook at your table. It's a little pricey (about $30 each in 2025) so if you're a light eater you don't get your money's worth. Also you can't take anything home which kind of sucks but I understand why. The menu is one page with a choice of meats, plain and sauced, vegetables, tempura and raw, and noodles. Diners cook the items in the grill to their chosen level - using tongs, scissor and chopsticks. Novelty 100% Sweet soy is provided for dipping and grilling, a selection of kimchee, cucumbers, potato salad and other delights are part of the meal. Rice? Of course! Fried and sticky versions. It was fun and different. We had to put light on the grill with our phone to check done-ness. Our nephew grilled his plate of thin-sliced spicy pork lost in bar-b-que dreams and focused attention. A friend and I ate here for the first time on Friday night. I do enjoy a good Korean BBQ but have only been to a few different establishments. This was by far my favorite. The prices, selections, staff, and restaurant itself were excellent. We both got the "All you can eat" for $30. I started with the Menna "Signature" steak, spicy pork belly and beef tongue. All were delicious. My friend ordered mostly garlic shrimp with beef, pork, and chicken bulgogi. Lady loved all three of her bulgogi proteins its safe to say. She said her shrimp was great as well. She also had a bowl of Soon Dubu she enjoyed. Pork dumpling appetizers were cooked perfectly. On my second order I tried garlic pork belly, teriyaki chadol, and more beef tongue. The beef tongue was my favorite. Thinly sliced and oh so tender! My third and final order consisted of MORE beef tongue, beef bulgogi, and pork bulgogi. I can't think of one thing we didn't love. Oh, their kimchi was second to none. There were some veggies in there too, we're not ALL heathen. FRESH mushrooms, onions, garlic, and zucchini accompanied our meal. For a kbbq, price was decent and ambiance was good. However, the service can work on being better. I'm not sure if our server was unsure and confused if we've ever been to a kbbq before or maybe he was new and still learning; but I had to ask for a grill change twice. He looked at me confused because I asked for a grill change (look like what are you talking about) ... I think the manager walked by at the same time and told him about the charred grill too, and she ended up changing our grill because our server didn't do it. We had to look for our server to order more food because he didn't really check on us or ask us if we wanted to order more. Food was great!
