Bagel wishes dashed by the service setup and the ultimately delivered bagels. Simply: coffees, two. bagels, toasted butter and cream cheese, one of each. We are first in line (later 12 form behind us) Nearly 20 minutes later on the clock..... no empty-fill-yourself-coffee-cup-offered yet; numerous interim online bag pickups ensue; and finally, with some insistence, ours is provided amidst all; frustrated we leave quickly. The discovered non-toasted cold, bread-like, bagels, one with butter and one with cream cheese. ...Too frustrated to go back and return them given the time and crowd. A No-Return disappointment. Meaning, no second chances planned.

Decent Philly bagel place, but with NY prices. I'm a NY'er, who spent a weekend in Philadelphia. I went to grab some bagels and juices. I was immediately greeted by someone who took my order and assured me with paying. The place looked neat and the gentlemen was very friendly (aside from his Eagles hat, everything was perfect) Two bagels, two juices and a muffin was about $15 bucks. I found that to be a tad on the expensive side, but the service and the product were good. I would return here in the future.

We stopped here for breakfast and I enjoyed it! I got the classic bagel with sausage egg and cheese and a hash brown on the side. My bf got the blueberry bagel with honey walnut cream cheese, a hash brown on the side and coffee. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was exactly like a real nyc bagel, but it was one of the better ones I've had not in nyc! The food came out quickly, was good, and the people were nice. They definitely don't put a ton of cream cheese on the bagels (especially comparative to nyc) and my hash brown was a bit too expensive and underdone for my liking. Overall it was a good breakfast and I'd go back!

The smallest Nova Lox you'll ever see

This place is a lot like Einstein Bagels which is a fav of mine. I ordered the nova lox and it was decent at best, but $12.95 for a bagel that small is ridiculous in my opinion. Einstein bagels offers way better bagel sizes and better service in my opinion. I'd recommend trying different bagel shops in the city to get a better bang for your buck. Overall the taste was good but not worth the money at all.

I was first introduced to Manhattan Bagel around thirty years ago. Even before Yelp was a thing I wanted to spread the word of these fresh as can be bagels at the age of seven. My family and I introduced the bagel to our family dog and she was probably the most enthusiastic participant I have seen devouring a Manhattan bagel since. I will continue to preach on about Manhattan Bagel and they really do introduce some quite interesting seasonal items - just look at the picture of there newest creation the Pretzel Pastrami Egg Sandwich I took below! Whether you choose a toasted or fresh bagel, cream cheese or butter, breakfast meat or delectable fish, I think you will be happy with your experience with this bagel joint I know I was. As always people SYOY!!

What they deserve is zero star.I went last week and took one dozen bagel, apparently they mix old bagels with couple that are new. Although I put the rest of the bagels in the refrigerator the next day it had already fungus on it. I've been to many countries and I never seen bagels like this, no taste, not enough sesame and very bad quality spread cheese. A dozen cost $17 on top of that cheating just because they don't care about their customers with all their greediness and cheating.

Stopped by while walking and grabbed a latte. For half the price of Starbucks, you can get a simple, tasty coffee. Their bagel sandwiches also look delicious although I did not order one during my visit! My only negative comment is that the coffee making system seems a little inefficient. You order the bagels before the register so they're ready when you pay, but the coffee is made at the register while you pay. I felt a little bad holding up the line, when I wish the coffee could have been made quicker.

I the only one in the store with two workers, and it was the longest wait. One on the phone and the other doing everything except helping me, it took 5 minutes for someone to take my order, then another 7 to make the sandwich. Lady at checkout made me pay twice because she messed up the amount the first time. Picked the sausage bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. Pretty pricey for the size, but everything tasted good. While someone was in the bathroom, a worker walked by with 2 rolls of toilet paper and realized they were in there with none. She put them on the counter and left, and the other workers let 2 other customers use the restroom without TP even after knowing it was all out. Kind of rude. Croissant sandwich was alright though, and the cheese made it super tasty. Would've asked for it more toasted if I knew, but alright. Bagels looked average.

The nova lox garlic bagel was DELICIOUS! I got their freshly squeezed orange juice and free chips that come with it. I could eat this everyday if I could! Very sweet staff. Small barstool counter seating inside. I would absolutely come back to try more of their bagels! They also have blackberry lemonade which was refreshing! Apple pay and card accepted. Friendly staff that gave great recommendations!

I had the turkey on wheat with American cheese. I opted for the Russian dressing since I'm not a fan of hot deli mustard. I had it toasted panini style. The service was quick, friendly and you could tell they took pride in what they were doing. My wife opted for the pastrami on wheat with may and provolone cheese, also panini style. She had potato salad as a side and the coleslaw. Both were good. The Marketplace is a very large (formerly Penn Station) turned open market area covering food, produce, meat market, flowers, artisans etc. A wonderful place. The food was awesome the meats were amazingly tasty and worth the price!

We originally ordered just one sandwich to share, but it was so good that we ended up going back for another one. The pastrami was flavorful, tender, and packed generously into the sandwich. We also got lucky because there weren't too many people when we arrived, so we were able to grab seats right at the counter and enjoy everything fresh. Highly recommended if you're visiting Reading Market, definitely one of the standout food spots there.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The corned beef was an enticing vibrant pink, tender and juicy, with a perfectly balanced and pure saltiness that accentuated the beef's natural flavor. The scrambled eggs were incredibly smooth and creamy, complemented by the rich, melted cooper sharp cheese. The rye was toasted with butter, giving it a thin, crispy crust and a soft interior--a bit softer than Hershel's East Side Deli's, fragrant but not greasy. Every part was delicious, and the combination was harmonious and delightful. The portion of ingredients was very generous, definitely worth the $14.50 price. The service was a little slow, but the moment you tasted it, you would forgive everything!
