    Interior & Menus (04/25/26). @MangosKauai @OldKoloa #Koloa #Kauai #Hawaii

(Desserted 04/25/26 SA @ 5:30pm): You had me at Mango's! After an afternoon of drinking and eating at two local breweries, before I headed back to the resort where I was staying, I walked around in search for shave ice and came across Mango's. If you knew me, I loved all-things mangos, so this was a no-brainer to check it out. A family-owned business that opened in 2022, they served shave ice, ice cream, homemade desserts, Dole Whip, and fun souvenirs. How would my shave ice experience be, and did they have mango flavor!? PURCHASE(S) Small Shave Ice Mango & Watermelon + Additional Flavor Coconut ($8.95 + $0.75): A decent portion size, this was as fluffy as you would come to expect from any shave ice purchased on any of the Hawaiian Islands (the fluffier the better, please!). The three tropical flavors I selected paired perfectly. Not overly sweet, they each had their own distinct taste. As I rapidly tried to eat this frozen treat so it wouldn't melt and make a mess, I wished it came with a funnel skirt or platform to catch everything (Matsumoto had something to this effect which was a wonderful idea). Regardless, with brief bouts of brain-freeze, this was a nice way to end my day in Old Koloa Town. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=144&select=AGCmC1dKOuMUr2QlwEY0kg Cinnamon Toast Cake Slice ($5.95): This simply looked amazing as it sat in the display case, so I had to take one for later. Once I got into it the next morning for breakfast, it was still fluffy, light, and moist with all of the goodness of cinnamon toast crunch cereal, and the creamy thick layer of frosting was truly the icing on the cake. I wished I had another for later! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=AhMBmjk9xwxIcLxzWMrihg SERVICE Warmly greeted by two friendly young women behind the counter, I was able to browse the menu while they helped the group ahead of me. Once it was my turn, I knew what I wanted, easily placed my order, I soothingly watched one of them craft my shave ice while the other packaged my cake and rang me up. Minutes later, I was at an outside table with my prized possession - easy-peasy! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): I took the bus, so this wasn't an issue for me. Otherwise, there appeared to be some onsite parking with spots along the main drag of Koloa Rd. and other side streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A brightly-painted interior that bursted with the sense of a candy store but actually an ice cream parlor, a dessert shop, and random plushies and toys was what you walked into. Simple easily legible menus of the types of treats, flavors, and prices were hung on the wall behind the counter https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=144&select=X93KwvmR6ASMbyyYSSJJTw while several racks throughout displayed other anthemic local souvenirs. A decent amount of natural lighting came in through the front doors and windows while an assortment of electric recessed and track ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs, but pop music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=144&select=1ZNTy-MJlQQvT5uUy6BwMw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I enjoyed my time and treats at Mango's and would consider another return if I were in the area and wanted a dessert. The menu options and flavors were very limited, the prices a bit elevated (except for the cake), and the service was easy and straightforward. Plus, I always loved to try and support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $16.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Mango's sells generous portions of shave ice and dole whip, and the staff are very friendly. I enjoyed sitting outside at the provided tables and chairs, but there is also air conditioned seating inside. Ample onsite parking is available for the shopping center.

Another great experience. This time they had the mango and watermelon swirl. Such a great treat on a hot day.

Mango's has the best Dole whip and ice creams! My family loved the desserts. I got the Keiki sized dole whip and it's huge! It's delicious, everything I dreamt of in the mainland. The employees were so sweet and were both locals. Ambiance is clean, spacious. They have so much to offer including ice cream, shakes, affogato

They have dole whip...need I say more? I am a native Californian who grew up going to Disneyland and enjoy pineapple dole whip with a deep nostalgia, so I was so happy to learn that they have it at Mango's! I got a Keiki size but they really swirled it up high in the cup which made it enough to share with my fiancé..who said he didn't want his own but helped eat mine lol Service is fast. I went twice while visiting Kauai and the first employee was a little more friendly than the second, she took the time to explain their special promotion and helped me pick out the best shave ice flavors. The shave ice is also good, a little more sweet and syrupy than I'd prefer, but I'm happy that they don't skimp with the syrups like some places. The shave ice is chunky but still easy to scoop with a spoon. They sell more products inside their store, including granola/granola bars, Hawaiian coconut syrup, and plush toys. They also have a variety of pastries available, including chocolate cake, which was sadly a little dry the day we got some (maybe it was just sitting in the display too long?) There is plenty of patio seating outside. Free parking available in the parking lot for the shopping center. Mango's is located in a great shopping center that also has restaurants, cafes, bakeries, juice bar, and grocery store. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area

Fast and friendly service. I couldn't decide between mango and pineapple so she made me a mix of both--yummy and refreshing. Can't ask for more on a hot Koala day.

I visited Mango's in Kōloa, Kauaʻi, Hawaii [5460 Koloa Rd] on Thursday, 01/22/26, around 6:30 PM. I was intrigued by the idea of ordering a milkshake made with the Banana Mac Crunch ice cream. The milkshake was blended to perfection, tasting like banana heaven with subtle notes of nuttiness. I truly enjoyed it. The inside of the shop was vibrant and colorful. In addition to the treats offered at the counter, there were plenty of products available for purchase, such as pancake mix, coconut syrup, coffee, cookies, nuts, and more. There were two employees assisting all of the guests. There was a bit of a wait; however, they kept the line moving fairly quickly and maintained a pleasant disposition while serving customers. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by Mango's for delectable sweet treats while exploring Kōloa.

My husband and I stopped in here for a sweet treat. I got the haupia (coconut) ice cream and my husband got a pineapple dole whip. After we ordered, the girl recommended we try combining the ice cream and doll whip. I had a bite with both and it was the perfect tropical, Pina-colada-esque treat. I was so happy the girl working recommended it. The store was really cute with some souvenirs for sale. They also had Diet Coke available which was great. I loved the little umbrella that came with the dole whip!

Half Hawaiian mud pie, half cappuccino chip

They have lots of ice cream flavors, and the ones I test tasted were all good. I ended up getting a scoop of the cappuccino chip and the Hawaiian mud pie. Both were really good. I love the Hawaiian mud pie more because it has brownie chunks. Yum!

Wow! They have lots to choose from here. The shave ice was delicious. I do wish it had come in a cup with a better lip bc mine went everywhere! But good anyways.

So refreshing Shaved ice served in an overflowing cup. Perfect after a long day of hiking. Found their mango and passion fruit flavors to be super refreshing. Added a small scoop of ice cream, which provided a richer finish

Craving something sweet after our meal and Mango's was in the same shopping plaza. It was a little busy inside but the line went by pretty quick. They have different flavors of dole whip and even come in swirled flavors too. We ordered a pineapple dole whip and a shave ice with strawberry and watermelon. The store also sells snacks and toys. There are a couple tables inside and outside as well. We ordered the keiki sizes which were still a good size. Nothing fancy about the dole whip or shave ice but it definitely satisfied our sweet craving.

My wife and I had just finished dinner in the Koloa area and were craving something sweet when we came across Mango's. It's in a really cute shopping center with plenty of restaurants and little shops around it. The whole area has a fun, welcoming vibe, and Mango's fits right in. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly, upbeat staff. They offered free samples, which made it even more fun to try different flavors. I asked which flavor was the most popular, and they said mud pie. I went with that, and it was fantastic. Creamy, rich, and so fresh. My wife chose guava, lychee, and pineapple, and she loved every scoop. We grabbed a small table in the corner and just enjoyed the moment. It was the perfect way to end the evening. The shop is cute, the service is great, and the ice cream is delicious. We'd absolutely come back and recommend Mango's to anyone in the area looking for a sweet treat.
