Been here a handful of times, and each time the service and food are inconsistent. It's either very good or really bad. They need to get it together with the staff. Shouldn't have to wait 15 mins for a server to come to the table and then even when you get up and ask for one wait another 10 mins. Food needs to be served hot. Servers aren't motivated and just let the food sit. I was tempted to get up and take it from the counter myself. Also, it's a so petty to charge for more dressing for an $18 salad. read more

My sister and I stopped in after our farmers market to stop for a little brunch. We have been here so many times and it's always wonderful but it's been about 6 months from our last visit and we were sadly disappointed with our experience. They use to have an order from the table option which was super user friendly and allowed for quick ordering and reordering. This is no longer an option. The service was severely lacking. It was very slow, I'll give them a little grace given it was a Saturday market day but it took 3 times to get our order correctly entered. Our drinks didn't come out until we were almost finished with our pizza. We like the mangoni drink but it was served with a salt rim! It's normal sugar and they ask if you want it or not. They don't have ham or Canadian bacon so we ordered traditional bacon with olive (no black olives only green). The pizza came out with whole olives, lacking bacon. It tasted good but for a $20 small pizza, I don't want to have to cut my own olives. We sat outside which is always lovely. We love this place for the location, ambiance and usually good food and drinks but today was not that. The staff were meeting in the doorways next to our table talking about table issues. Very pretty restaurant, usually with seasonal decor. Pizzas were good! Our favorite was the brisket pizza. Service is a miss unfortunately. It's kind of a self serve situation. We had to find our own napkins and silverware. It wasn't a welcoming environment, which I was expecting from the looks of it - to be more upscale. It's also tight seating inside and with a stroller - it can get uncomfortable to find a spot for a larger family to sit. They have a small bar with bar seating, and outside patio tables and lounge style seating as well. I do love the location of the restaurant being right next to the turf so kids can play. They also have a gelato cart in their patio, but I had to find a staff member for it. I'd still recommend to try it out, maybe it was an off day! read more

Obviously I came for the Harry Potter pop up. This was very cute and seasonal. Nothing to spectacular in regards to decoration. They did have Harry Potter themed cocktails. We tried The Hedwig, The Golden Boy, Wicked Weasley, also added an espresso martini. I would give all the drinks at 10 for taste and flavor. However, it was very disappointing that they did not focus on the presentation of the drinks. I know they ran out of glasses so we were not provided the right glasses for the drinks, however, they did have all of the garnishes, and did not garnish any of our drinks properly. When I try to address this it seems like the servers were burnt out and not happy about what they were doing so I would say the service wasn't too great. However, the drinks are cute. I've only ever been to Mangoni for cocktails, so I can't speak to the food, but if you're lucky enough to get a seat at their tiny bar, then you'll likely have a great experience. The service can be hit or miss, and the first couple times we visited, the bar itself was full (and by full I mean all 8 seats). There was no dedicated service staff in the remainder of the bar area, so you had to order at the bar, and our first two visits were pretty disappointing. The first time we waited about 20 minutes just trying to order a drink and no one ever acknowledged us, so we left without ordering anything. The second time, we were hoping to grab a little nightcap after dinner and attempted to order through the QR code but the full drink menu was not offered and we even stopped a server walking by to ask if we could place a drink order through her, but she told us no, we had to order at the bar. They were not very busy at all (around 9pm on a weeknight), so that still confuses me. With the exception of the 8 bar guests and a couple tables dining on the patio, there were no other customers. Third time's the charm I guess? We visited on a random Sunday afternoon and managed to get two seats at the bar. Luckily this experience slightly diminished the bad taste I had in my mouth, and we received excellent service and drinks from the bartenders. We really enjoyed the spritz and the espresso martini which was served with a torched marshmallow & caramel on top. We've been seeing all their delicious drinks on Instagram, so I'm glad we finally got to try them. The space itself is beautiful and I love how they change up the theming and decor pretty often. We went here because they have fun seasonal decor and the kids liked it. I don't even know where to begin. We started with the "ginger bread garlic knots" which are bread in the shape of ginger bread men with red and yellow food coloring. They came out rock hard and bone dry. We had lunch here today, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. My husband and I both ordered pizzas and water. When our server brought the drinks to the table, she also had two glasses of red wine on her tray for another table. Both glasses spilled all over me and my husband, and one even fell to the floor and shattered right next to our feet. My shoes were filled with wine and are now stained. Despite the mess and the broken glass, the server didn't offer to move us, we had to ask ourselves. Once we were moved, the food didn't redeem the experience. The fig and prosciutto pizza was overwhelmingly sweet, and the brisket pizza was bland and forgettable. After we finished eating, we waited quite a while before the server finally came over and offered us a dessert "since she spilled wine and glass all over us." The tiramisu she brought out was a plastic cup with brown pudding and whipped cream on top, not at all what I would expect from a restaurant trying to make up for such a major mishap. Considering that we were covered in wine, dealing with broken glass, and I spent half the meal trying to clean my shoes, the only acknowledgment or compensation being a low-effort dessert felt like extremely poor customer service from both the server and the manager (maybe owner). The restaurant's theming is nice, and some of the themed cocktails might be worth trying, but overall the experience was uncomfortable, disappointing, and not something we'd return for. With so many other better options in Winter Garden, why waste your money? read more

My overall impression is that they applied Vapiano's interactive dining concept and contemporary/slighltly upscale yet relaxed ambiance. This versatility makes it a good place for a date night, gatherings with friends, family dinners, or even solo dining experiences. From the outside, it looks like a sit-down restaurant with servers, but it is actually a counter-service restaurant. The tables have a QR code where you can place your order and pick at the counter. You can also order from the menu on the wall to your left when you enter the building through the door on the street parallel to Plant Street. I like the fact that you can see them making your pasta, pizza, salad, calzone, etc. in front of you (I know this is nothing special but, for some reason, I specifically enjoy watching someone preparing Italian food in front of me). We ordered the Expresso Martini and the Italian Garden for drinks. The Martini was very balanced (the right amount of espresso and alcohol), velvety, and had a creamy consistency. The cinnamon sugar on top and the marshmallow on a stick that came with it were the icing on the cake. The Italian Garden had an incredible texture and superb presentation, but it tasted one-dimensional to me - I could only taste cider. The Mangoni Salad was generous though I would have preferred that the ingredients were all mixed in a larger bowl. Instead, they were not mixed and squeezed into a not-so-large bowl. My friend and I were looking for a place on Plant Street to have a few drinks and food. We found this restaurant and the menu had us immediately! We went inside and were told that we could choose any table and we'd just order using the QR code. We started out with drinks that were amazing and appetizers -- I ordered garlic knots (crostinis) and my friend ordered the Florence. We then ordered pizza and more drinks (all 10/10) and our bartender was amazing! I wish we got her name. She was really knowledgeable about the drinks and came over to talk to us about it. The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because my garlic knots took 45 minutes to come (after we ordered, received, and ate our pizzas) and unfortunately I had to ask about it 3 times. They tasted great, I just wish they came within a reasonable time. I asked them to take it off my bill and that I would send it back since I was already pretty full by the time they came out, but they didn't do it. We came on a Monday night so it wasn't crazy or packed so I was happy to had the chance to sit at the bar and talk to the bartender for a bit. She made me their special old fashion featuring a smoked cigar. The process of it all was amazing! Truly authentic and made the drink 10 times better with that experience! I will say that I wish they had a better whiskey to pair with it or more options of whiskey for that matter. The drinks are reasonably priced and made perfectly! The food was also delicious and average. It did take awhile for our pizza to come out.... So it worries me how much longer it could've been if they were actually busy.... Overall, the employees were very chill and laid back, which is kinda ok for a Monday night but hopefully not when they're busy. Great place to catch up with friends or out on a family dinner. Came here a couple weeks ago, definitely looked really cool and I saw some drinks that looked really great! Actually didn't realize it was counter service, not sit down service. The have a variety of different pizzas and salads you can order at the counter. We ordered 4 pizzas and a cannoli, took a seat outside. The ambiance and theming of the inside and outside areas is really good. It's upbeat and modern, very nice. There is a separate bar area to order drinks from, which you can sit at as well. So after some of our party sat, I went to the bar to order drinks. The drinks were super delicious, I loved the espresso martini. There were some other fun ones as well. 3 of the pizzas came within 10 minutes. One pizza, did not arrive until 35 minutes later..... the rest of us were all finished with or pizzas and drinks by the time the last pizza came in our party. Several staff kept coming to the table checking in with us and kept asking to take our number away and if we had all the food. Multiple times we kept telling them we were waiting on one more pizza. I was about to go inside and ask for a refund, then it finally came 35 minutes later. Crazy! After all that, I would say drinks solid 8-9/10. Pizzas were just okay, maybe 5/10. I wouldn't come back I don't think, plenty of other pizza places in the area that are quicker and taste much better. Located in the heart of downtown Winter Garden, Florida this location offers market style, Italian pizzas and the opportunity for you to create your own. We arrived on Sunday around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and were able to seat ourselves outside to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. I will say this location is a little confusing as a first time patron as it was unclear whether or not you just sat yourself or if it was a full service restaurant. There was a couple of ladies who were running food to tables but for the most part, they encourage you to use the QR code at the table to place your order in the app. I did see one young lady take an order for the table behind us. We opted for the charcuterie board and the pepperoni pizza. All of their pizzas are individual size so if you have a larger party, its easy to order a couple if you wanted to share or everybody can order their own. The pizza has a thin crust, but we love the fact that they use the smaller pepperoni, the only downside we had is that the pizza came out slightly cool, which indicates to us it probably sat for a while before it was run out. The charcuterie board was good. All of the meat selection was absolutely delicious. MY husband did enjoy the Mexican lager which was perfect on a day like today where it was a little warmer outside as he found it to be very light and refreshing. I opted to try a couple of cocktails which they are known for. Tried the Tuscan Sky, which was made with bullet bourbon and topped with cotton candy and a sour candy. Given it was made with bourbon, I thought it might be a little heavier, but it actually was very light and well balanced. I also tried the watermelon martini which was light and refreshing although it was very very light on the watermelon flavor. We were told to order our cocktails directly from the bar as the menu is limited to what cocktails you can order. Overall, we found the experience to be OK. It did feel like it took a long time for the food to come to the table after we had placed the order. They were steady, but because you're encouraged to place your order through the app there's no real connection to a server to check to see how your food order is going. We put our order in at 1:49 and it was after 3pm before we got our food. We were not in a hurry and were just enjoying chatting but had we been, it would have been frustrating. Great potential, failed execution. I finally got to visit for the first time on a Saturday night, and the line was out the door with a 2 hour wait. We decided to go get drinks at another local bar in the meantime and returned about an hour before Mangonis closed. The place is beautifully decorated with a great cocktail menu. They also have beautiful decor, which gives a great ambiance for a fun girls or date night. Unfortunately, thats where the the good parts of the visit end. We ordered some espresso martinis which took about 30 minutes to arrive, only for them to have not even been shaken properly and they were warm. As for our other drinks, all of the sodas and waters arrived in plastic cups, with at least a 45 minute wait for our waters to even be refilled. The food took at least an hour to be served after ordering, and arrived with disposable cutlery and not enough utensils for our party of 3. On my second visit, I arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday with a friend and was happily surprised to be seated immediately. That was however, the only positive aspect of my visit. We still had to wait at least 30 minutes for our drinks, after a 15 minute wait for out waiter to greet us (with the restaurant only being barely half full). Our food also took about another 30 minutes for our appetizer (the crostini with ricotta) to arrive, with my simple cheese pizza to take another 20 minutes. Additionally, many of the items I tried to order were unavailable/sold out for the nigh due to lack of ingredients. With this in mind, I would not advise coming hungry as the food takes at least an 1 hr/1.5 hr upon arrival to be served. I want to like this place so badly, because the staff is friendly and ambiance is great, but unless they can improve their service time I am hesitant to return. Nonetheless, I will keep it in mind to hopefully come back one day because the atmosphere and menu are great despite the aforementioned issues. read more

Okay so we were extremely apprehensive about coming to this restaurant because of the negative reviews about how long everything took and how people had really bad experiences so we kind of went in with low expectations and let me just say that you do not need low expectations when coming to this restaurant I think maybe they've had a few bad days and I think that maybe on the weekend it's a lot busier so I would say pack your patience on a weekend but we went on a Thursday night and our waitress Arwen who told us it was her second day there was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive, and she brought out everything as quickly as it was being made. Nothing seem to be off or like it sat for too long at the bar or at the kitchen I thoroughly enjoyed the Harry Potter drinks that they had for this month and I also enjoyed the pizza I would actually come back, we have to sit outside though because inside the tables outside were also fully booked, but we did end up sitting on a couch which I would prefer to sit at a table but nonetheless the food was great. There was a live singer so the ambience was great and the drinks were also great. I have walked by Mangoni many times since living in the Winter Garden area but never went in. A good friend of mine was celebrating their birthday and they always pick a new place to go where we can all gather and try something new. He picked Mangoni and made a reservation for 12 people. Unfortunately, like many of the other reviewers here, we did not seem to understand how they do their service here. You either go inside, order food and then find a table OR find a table and order via their app. Not knowing this, we spend 2.5 hours eating dinner. We saw other tables come in, get food, eat and leave before we even got our food. I wish the hostess or even the server had told us how it all worked. With that being said, we were seated at a table outside and our server Marlee seemed very nice. She took our drink order and then brough out water for the table. About 30 min later, the drinks finally came out. I had paid a bit more for the special Old Fashioned drink and it was hardly 3 or 4 sips of alcohol. I kind of felt cheated. So we sat there and waited for food.... and waited... and finally an hour and a half after ordering, food started to come to the table. It took about 30 more minutes for all the food to arrive so some people who got food first where done eating before others even got their food. The food also came out in no particular order. Salads, appetizers came out after our pizzas... and we had a number of garlic knot orders that came out even after that. A few of the people in our party got up to speak with the manager and only then did the food seem to start to come out. I am not sure how long we would have to have waited for it if we did not say something. The food itself was good. Everything tasted okay but we were so hungry, anything might of tasted okay. Marlee was nice and was trying to be as friendly as she could but I can't tell if it was her fault for the poor service or the way they work there. We asked for boxes for leftover as least 3 times before they brough out a few. We needed about 5 boxes so we went in ourselves to as for them. By the time we left 2 and a half hours later, we were over it all. Management did comp all the garlic knots and I believe some other items were taken off the bills. We all paid separately so I not sure what everyone paid in the end. Atmosphere - 7 Food - 9 Service - 4 It was overall a disappointment to eat here.
