Oh my goodness I am so excited about this place! Finally we have really great Indian good in Spokane. New and clean restaurant and friendly helpful service. Love that it's downtown. We came with a large group and everyone raves about how delicious there food was, even the kiddo loved the butter chicken and butter paneer. I love all the rice choices and vegetarian options. This place will be a regular place for our friends and family! I'm hoping they get a menu here online soon with maybe online ordering so when we want take out it's easier. read more

Just had my first meal with my daughter here. The food is amazing. Spice is good, you might want to drop a level compared to more westernized heat levels. The service was amazing. They were very busy, on a Tuesday night, but they accommodated our need to get in and out to make a movie time. I was delighted with my Mango Tree meal. My chicken tikka masala was delicious and I was so happy that the dinner came with naan! My boyfriend had paneer Korma and he said the paneer was really yummy. The samosas were perfectly fried and moist on the inside, not dry at all! Naanchos! while "fusion" cuisine typically signals a disappointing dish containing the least appealing elements of the root cuisines (in this case, Indian and Mexican-American - no there are no "nachos" in Mexico) the appetizer "Naanchos" at Mango Tree are terrific! hot, crusty, chewy Naan bread covered with veggies and cheese. the garbanzos on the topping were especially delicious. Earlier yelpers dinged Mango Tree for late or inconsistent service but our service was attentive and very time-efficient without rushing us along. we visited Mango Tree on Father's Day, June 16, after it'd been open for business just 1 month. in fairness, most new restaurants take at least two and often more months to get everything synchronized, plus all restaurants continually refine their processes, menus and staffing (if they're successful). our only wish is better register for the spicy-meter. of three people, one asked for mild, one for a 7 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being HOT spicy) and the third requested spicy (10). all the entrees came mild for our tastes. We'd like to revisit Mango Tree and request the chef turn up the spicy-meter. read more

The food and mango tree was alright they had a different style of nan that the previous deliciously garlic cover bread and the rice had a texture to it that might make you think to your self huh I wonder if this has been back there very long the atmosphere seemed a little dark and dim and you could tell the restaurant had been a previous sports bar and while the place was very big the restaurant only seem to have 2-3 customers in it i simply to this as a blessing and said to my girlfriend wow we beat the rush but little did we know the wait would be long and the service would be little to non existent are waiter came to are table only 1 time to see if we needed anything else and when we asked for to go containers are waiter didn't say anything walked away and walked past us repeatedly and didn't say a thing to us for a good 10 minutes till some other waiter came up and gave us to go containers need less to say this wasn't the best experience I've had I'll think imma have to just stick to my usual on this one read more

I called in an order of vegetable na'an & raita today, at 12:30. I gave the employee my name, and she told me the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later, thinking the order would be ready. I told the host (?) my name, and they acted like they hadn't received my call/order at all. I then proceeded to wait, sitting, for half an hour for an order of na'an & raita. I didn't receive my order for almost an hour after I originally called in. I really like Mango Tree's food, but the service quality so far has been very subpar. This is my second time in, & both times I have been disappointed. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Our server- Matthew- was not prepared for a slightly busy evening and decided to take it out on us instead. We were at the restaurant for an hr and 15 min. We had our food for 15 of that time. No big deal. We didn't mind the wait. We did however, need to go back to work so we had asked for our checks and boxes at the same time we ordered- so we could get it out of the way. He said no problem. He brought our food and shortly after brought our checks. He left wo taking our cards. He did not come back. After roughly 15 min my friend saw him at the register and brought him our checks and cards. She was not being confrontational, just trying to be on time for work. He snatched them from her hand and said he would get to them when he could. Shortly after that he brought our receipts and cards back and shoved them in my friends face- literally held them inches from her face until she took them. We, again, asked for boxes and he walked away. He brought them back and AGAIN shoved them in my friends face! I recorded the sound of what happened. I wish I could upload it. She asked him not to shoved the to go boxes at her. He refuted by saying "I didn't, I just handed them to you." He left. If we had time, we would have asked for a manager. We will never be back here and we will never recommend your restaurant to the tours that come through the performing arts center. read more

I had indian food for my first time here & it tasted AMAZING. I was obsessed with the mango chicken & couldn't get enough of it. Definitely coming back! There wasn't any AC because it was broken, so it was really hot but the outdoor seating was perfect on such a nice day. Great food, great customer service, can't wait to be back. read more

My experience with Mango Tree was very unpleasant. We ordered take-out, and I ate the chicken tikka masala. The dish itself looked very different from others renditions I've had. The dish had a dark red color and little to no flavor. The garlic naan was chewy, and most pieces didn't even have any garlic. The veggie samosas lacked flavor and freshness. I would suggest going to Taste of India instead if you are looking for a great Indian dish. read more

Tried out this place yesterday. Love the location, we chose outdoor seating because it was a little stuffy inside and the outdoor seating is perfectly shaded. Love the lights hanging outside, a charming touch. Inside looked beautiful as well. We went with the lunch special of the day, what a great deal! I chose the butter chicken and the beef and spinach (saag gosht) curry. Both were so good! Seriously the most tender beef ever with a great flavor. Service was helpful and friendly. Only negative (besides it being stuffy inside), was nothing is marked gluten free. So I had to ask a lot of questions and take a gamble on different things, thankfully I had no reaction. read more

I love indian food. When I lived in Minneapolis, indian was a twice monthly affair. Traveling for work, I'd have indian quite often as well. I do indian like some american folks do chinese or mexican - its a 'go to' when eating out. I must say this place has a great location and is more visible than Top of India in the valley or the late Great Taaj downtown. Unfortunately this is some pretty lackluster indian food. I'd ordered the butter chicken and found it to not have the meld of spices you'll find elsewhere. It tasted like a clumsy attempt at the recipe (which, I'm familiar with having attempted to cook it myself). The garlic naan is the worst, doughiest naan and is covered in a garlic popcorn butter type oil. The tandoori naan is similarly awful, microwave food type fare. You'll be better off heading to the valley or waiting for a more authentic indian food place to open... read more

I would say it was just ok. Not super good like restaurants in Seattle, LA, Sanfran or NewYork. So if your expecting that you will be disappointed. But for a quick lunch or take out it does just fine. Top of India still wins for Spokane, although I don't love them either. read more
