We just ate there, tried it for the first time - EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it. I had General Tso's Chicken - chicken was soft and not too deep fried to a crispy crunch. My husband had the Teriyaki Chicken - he too loved his dish. We started with sushi and ended with a wonderful dessert. Prices were very good too. Food was delicious. Def try the Vietnamese salad. Spring rolls were tasty and the mango tango rolls were fresh and were really good. Decor is trendy and the staff is attentive. Great food and great drinks here in Islip. We eat there at least once a week. I guess it is Asian fusion with a Japanese flair. The black walnut honey chicken and shrimp is to die for. This is my new best Asian Fusion, and I am VERY picky. I had a simple string beans and chicken in garlic sauce and it was one of the tastiest, most satisfying meals I have had in a long time. Hot and sour soup was just right. The staff is beyond excellent, attentive, pleasant, and helpful. Beautiful decor. I don't know why I hadn't found Mango Tango before, but i will be back often. I'd really love my money back for the terrible chicken teriyaki and crab rangoons. First off who puts peppers in chicken teriyaki. I wasn't told there were peppers in it, I was told there was onions, broccoli and zucchini in the dish. Second, the teriyaki sauce was a joke. Idk how you can call that teriyaki sauce plus the sauce was EXTREMELY runny. The sushi was mediocre. The crab rangoons were gummy and tasted like dirty fry oil. Not really many positive things to say. I threw out the chicken teriyaki after two bites and only ate two crab rangoons because they made me feel sick from the amount of grease in them. Went here after a wake and it was honestly better than some of my favorite spots in manhattan!! Had the general tso's, it was very flavorful, crispy and delicious. I hate when chicken is soggy, but this was perfect. Others had black bean chicken and sesame chicken, and sushi platter. Omg it was so good. Last minute stop while visiting friends - A friend in East Islip recommended this restaurant for Asian fusion. It was a treat. We tried the Dim Sum appetizer for a variety of different dumplings that we shared. We shared a Pad Thai that was also quite good. If you visit between 4:00pm - 6:00pm, there are happy hour specials. I've visited this establishment 3 times the first two being exclusively for sushi take out and they are very adequate for that. Not a very wide selection of sushi but for what they do it is very fresh quick and very tasty. The third trip tonight was the issue. I decided since I wasn't feeling well to get Chicken Pad Thai and just 2 sushi rolls. The sushi very good as always no issue at all. However very dissapointed my first time eating there cooked food. The chicken was like from a very low quality chinese takeout. Rubbery sour and made me feel like i was gonna be sick. The pad thai did not taste like pad thai i ended up throwing it out. If your gonna say your asian fusion you damn well better be able to do more than just susi good and I can't say that they do. Would I go back. Maybe but just for sushi. However I"m kinda worried now that if the chicken is low quality and nasty what's gonna happen eventually with the sushi. I'll just go back to Masa. The 10 percent off is not really motivation when the quality suffers I'd rather pay full price and wait longer and no i'm getting something sensational.
