Finally--Great Late-Night Banh Mi on the West Side! I am so stoked to have a solid fast-casual Vietnamese spot on this side of Alameda. If you're looking for a fresh, filling meal that isn't just another burger, Mango and Mint is a total win. The Highlights: * The Banh Mi: Yes, they are a little pricier than your average sandwich, but the portions are massive. I've tried the Special and the Lemongrass Seitan (awesome veggie option!), and both were packed with flavor. * The Eggrolls: You can get them single or do a 4 for $9 deal. We did two pork and two veggie--they were fried to order, super crispy, and tasted incredibly fresh. * Late Night Vibes: It is surprisingly hard to find good food on the island after 9 PM. The fact that they stay open until 10 PM is a huge plus for the neighborhood. The Verdict: It's great quality for the price. I'm already eyeing the noodle bowls and those unique-sounding smoothies for my next visit. Definitely check them out if you're on the West Side! Tip: If you're torn on eggrolls, get the 4-pack mix-and-match so you can try both types! read more
