Wow so nice to stop in this morning. I was looking fir a locally owned business and this place caught my eye from Rte 64. I was able to get myself a fresh made sandwich and coffee and a few other necessities for today's yoga class. Great convenience reminds me of the general stores of days gone only opened in December 2021.

I thought it was expensive for what it was. Soup was salty and the Cuban had been sitting there wrapped for quite a while.

Friendly service and excellent food at a fair price. Delicious chicken salad! And the food truck will be available next week!

Detwiler's Farm Market is hands down one of my favorite places to shop for anything fresh. When I…read moresay farm fresh, I mean straight-from-the-farm fresh -- and they truly support local farmers. The produce section is always piled high with the most beautiful displays of fruits and vegetables. They make fresh salsa in-house, have an entire area of fresh fruit (even a station where you can core your own pineapple!), and offer some of the freshest seafood and meats around. The deli is just as impressive, with sandwiches, soups, and salads -- and you can have a sandwich made exactly how you like it. There's even a cheese bar where they sample specialty cheeses. Around special occasions like Valentine's Day, you'll find them hand-dipping chocolate-covered strawberries and offering samples. Their bakery is incredible. Everything is made from scratch -- the cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing, and we love the cookies and cakes. They bake their own bread and even make their own donuts. From the produce to the meat department to the bakery, everything at Detwiler's is truly top-notch. They also have an ice cream counter featuring homemade Yoder's ice cream. You can grab a sundae, milkshake, or even an açai bowl while you're there. Yes, it's always busy -- but somehow the checkout lines move quickly every single time. They are incredibly efficient, and the staff is some of the friendliest and most helpful you'll find anywhere. The store is beautifully decorated, with each department thoughtfully themed. They play uplifting Christian music throughout the store, and no matter how crowded it gets, it's always a pleasant experience. People are genuinely smiling -- even the shoppers seem happy to be there. If you're visiting from out of town, Detwiler's is a must-stop. And if you're local, it deserves a permanent spot on your weekly shopping list. Decor, quality, service -- it's a 10 out of 10 every time.

You want milk from Central Valley feedlot herds with just enough room to step in the by-products of the cow next to them? Or do you want to cut a few streaming services and vices and shop where the inventory is much higher quality, fresher and heck, better for you? Then go to Sprouts. Incredibly clean, well stocked with quality products and very helpful, genuinely friendly staff. Yes, there are real sales. And there are many staples that are cheaper than the Green Place that used to be, er, pleasant to shop in. It's your choice. The same-old, same-old with the teaser sales and fake BOGO items. Or investing in foodstuffs that are better for you and your family? It's also a much more relaxed place to be. But hey, it's your choice. I'd say avoid Brussels sprouts though. They smell like the Palmetto High School boys locker room in November 1976 after that basketball game when Moe scored 48 points.

They had growing pains at the start but for a while, really seemed to step it up. Not so much now. The produce selection is all right but expensive, especially if you're looking for organic. Store is clean and well lit. What continues to bother me is the spotty service. If you get someone on the right day at the right moment, they're helpful and friendly. If not, rude, moody, dismissive. This is not a one time occurrence, either. It's unlike anything I've experienced at a Sprouts anywhere else in the country, and I've shopped in their stores in California, Washington, Tennessee with regularity. I can only put this down to sloppy management. As a for instance, on checkout I had only one bag with me, and asked that my cold foods be placed in it because I had an hour's drive home and would put them in a cooler. There were enough groceries for four bags, including mine, but without bothering to make eye contact the checker asked if I wanted him to stuff it all in the one tiny Publix bag. I said no, so he put the cold things in there, then loaded two more bags, one with all my canned and bottled goods. I'm clearly not young, but when I said "I won't be able to lift that!" he said the apples would have made it heavier, so he'd bagged them with other things. No asking me if I wanted help loading the car. No offering another bag. No smile. One short eye contact after a direct question. The rotisserie chicken is among the saltiest I've ever had, which for a health conscious store is not great. Someone either isn't over-seeing the brining or leaving the chickens in the brine too long, because it's basically inedible. I'd take it back but for the lengthy drive; the gas would probably eat up my savings. I keep trying this Sprouts in the hope that they've become consistent, but they're not. In short, if you have a health-conscious store alternative - even a TJ's would be better - shop there.

I didn't have the receipt, which I understand can complicate things, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and honestly a bit degrading. Instead of a simple, respectful resolution, it felt like I was being treated with suspicion over something minor. I wasn't even looking for cash back--I fully intended to turn around and spend the money in the store--but the lack of basic customer care really stood out. The overall interaction left a bad impression, and unfortunately, it reflects the general vibe I've experienced in multiple locations. It often feels impersonal and overpriced, with customer service that doesn't match the premium prices. Speaking of prices, they are consistently much higher than other local options. The only time shopping here feels reasonable is during buy-one-get-one deals, and that shouldn't be the only way customers feel like they're getting value. This experience was disappointing enough that I don't plan on returning. I hope the company takes a closer look at how customers are treated, especially in situations like this where a little understanding and respect would go a long way.
