Checking out can be a pill as often advertised sales don't ring up. However there's a good selection of toys and treats and you could even adopt a kitty cat. The staff is helpful and they seem daily attentive to when they need to open another register. It just seems to be a slow moving place, and I spend the most time waiting to check out/checking out than anything else. I purchased my puppy from a reputable breeder (the same as Petland is supposed to do) for less than half of what Petland was asking. And that included a $575 delivery fee to have my puppy driven from 10 hours away and hand-delivered to my home. Also, the puppies that I looked at and played with at Petland left me with quite a bit of odor on my clothing, so much that I actually had to wash my jacket the next day. Meanwhile , questionable clientele came and went...but we were REFUSED the following day. As I've been extensively involved with pet rescue for decades, I understand some people are definitely not suitable to adopt, but we are not in that group.... AND-- they are hosting a "friend raiser" at a HOOTERS--- hmmm, a bit telling to whom they are targeting. If you want a rescue, there are several local agencies who better deserve your support...
