I had a very concerning experience at this massage place. I had a massage 10 days ago, and when I got off the table I fell as the floor was a little slippery. I hit my head on the table and had a noticeable bump at the back of my head. I had to go to urgent care immediately to make sure there was no serious injury. When I contacted the owner about the incident and asked about covering my medical expenses, I was told that they had insurance, but the next day the owner told me to contact a lawyer instead. There was no updates since then. I'm sharing this because I think other customers should be aware of the potential safety risk. I really wanted to like this place, but it was the worst massage I've had. The location is great and so are the prices, but that's where the positives end. I get regular massages and have tried a lot of places in the area. This place is easily the worst I've had so far. My friend and I booked two massages for 11 on a sunday. When I showed up they insisted it was for 11:30 and the woman literally took my arm and guided me out the door. To be fair it was gently, but still weird to do. When my friend arrived a few minutes later we showed them the texts they sent confirming 11 was the time for the massage. We ended up waiting until 11:30 anyway, but that's fine. We were asked to fill out questionnaires, but both of our masseuses didn't mention them. The room for the massage is so tiny, I was surprised they can even maneuver around. The massage wasn't relaxing at all, you can hear everything happening in the location. The massage felt like very haphazard rubbing around my shoulders and then quickly did a lazy massage over the rest of my body the last 20 minutes. I also felt her stop massaging at random intervals to look at my nails. At one point when I was facing up I felt her stop again, when I opened my eyes she was just staring at my nails. A compliment I guess lol. During the payment process when it came to the tip she literally leaned over to watch how much I put in. My friend said similar things about her massage, some slight variations. I think the massage you get depends on who does it and how they feel that day. I would pass and go somewhere else for massages. It isn't worth the guessing game of who will give a half decent massage. read more

My boyfriend booked a same-day Swedish massage for both him and myself. Upon arriving, we were quickly ushered us to our rooms without asking any questions about what pressure we like, previous injuries, areas to avoid, etc. I've never had a massage where my therapist didn't check in with me either verbally or via questionnaire about these things, but I figured since it was a Swedish massage, it should be light to medium pressure anyways. Once she started to massage, I noticed that she was pushing quite hard, and with the repetitive motion, I would end up tensing up due to the pain. I also was flinching at points especially when she pushed on my spinal cord and behind my knees. It's generally not advised to massage these areas with much pressure as there is a lot of vasculature that you could damage, so I was pretty alarmed by this. She also pushed on my ribs, rubbed the outer corner of my eyes which was very unpleasant, and kept cutting me with her nails. I tried to communicate that I was in pain, but nothing changed. After the massage, I could not touch my back because of the pain, and the base of my neck has continued to hurt the next day. I've had many massages before, even deep tissue massages, and I have not experienced as much pain as I did at Mana. read more

They were able to take my walk-in request and fit me in on a Sunday morning. They were very friendly and very accommodating. I was dealing with some lower back issues, and I came out feeling a lot better after my visit. The therapist worked on the entirety of my back for most of my visit. The massage itself was a mixture of both deep and soft pressure. I then got the entirety of my body worked on too. They know what they're doing here but they should also ask what other body parts they should focus on. The price was a bit higher than what I usually pay for my hour massages but with the short notice walk in I was happy to pay it. read more

Ambiance feels okay.. they have you fill up a questionnaire that basically useless because when you get to the room and massage starts.. she don't even acknowledge the area where the tension is. Massage feels more like rubbing, you pay for 80$ to be upset in this place. Whats the point of answering that piece of shit when it wont even acknowledge? And the place is mad freezing. 15mins before the massage ends, she turned on the heated blanket on the table. And i told her twice that i am freezing. I only write reviews when service is exceptionally bad. This was the case at Mana. After making an appointment, I showed up about 5 mins early. I was hopeful at first, but then I was told that massage would be "Full Body with a focus on lower back." The masseuse proceeded to walk on my back, which wasn't a huge issue, but it was a hard massage with a lot of weight. She also jumped down twice to answer the front door and came back without cleaning her feet off. Eventually, she used her hands to continue the massage. After a heavy squirting of oil, she did a terrible version of a massage with her hands. She used her nails to do some scratching. Then, she did a weird semi-touch on the legs. It seemed as if she was texting with one hand and using the other to give a half-a** massage. After turning over, she oddly zoned in on a pressure point and pinched it on and off for the remainder of the time. Once it was over, she insisted on cash, but all I had was a credit card. I still tipped her well because I'm not a monster, but she proceeded to literally grab me by the arm and lead me out the door. Worst massage I ever had. read more

Booking: manager returned my intro email in only 45mins on a Sunday, and had the same day availability that I requested. I called to reply to her email and get costs, and she declined call but sent an immediate text to confirm the details, which I appreciated since texting makes it all easier. She also preemptively texted me a video of street parking and the way the entrance looked from the street - so helpful! Ambiance: room is small and bed + headrest not super padded. My masseuse named Shi Shi was able to provide me a different type of pillow and that fixed things. The bed didn't cause any discomfort or take away from the massage, it's just something you'll notice as less padded compared to other places. From inside the room you can hear light conversation at the front desk, and maybe twice during my 90min session there was a random single tone beep sound coming from outside my room , kind of odd but not at all stressful or distracting. Massage: Shi Shi was amazing, she doesn't talk much but understood when I said I need to adjust or something hurt. She did massage techniques I never experienced like walking on my body, and she does it well! Massage very comprehensive, includes the more movement oriented Asian massage techniques, as well as traditional relaxing massage techniques and face massage. She's great at trigger point and addressing knots. She also massages glutes!!! I feel fulfilled in my desire to get deep body relief following my weekend work shift where I also am a bodywork practitioner. This was in my top five of massages over my decade enjoying massage therapy services. I selected the 90min deep tissue option and they offered hot stones during massage which I accepted. read more

I was a walk-in customer while visiting Seattle for the weekend. Got a mid-afternoon appointment almost immediately at their place near Citizen M hotel/Westlake where we were staying. This small, no-frills, but very clean space really delivers: super friendly staff, the masseuse was extremely well trained and an expert at deep tissue massage. Absolutely horrible experience.... . I called a few times and I was sent text messages stating they were busy but to text what I needed. I did that a few times but never got a message back. I decided to do a walk-in the following day and as soon as I walked in a lady told me that I called and cancelled a few times ...so funny she has no idea who I am and I if I am the same person. Never even got my info to know if I am the same person that was texting. I guess we all look alike. Horrible service. The owners are very nice and the prices are much more affordable than others in this area.
