I can't speak to any other dishes, but the duck combo menu here is SUCH great value. Highly recommend especially for larger groups! Man Ri Sung is located in the Aberdeen Mall on the 3rd floor, on the same level as the food court. I came with a group of 8 specifically to order the Peking Duck combo. For only $180.99, you get a set menu with Peking duck, grilled kalbi, seafood pancake, pan fried squid, lemon chicken, and your choice between dumplings or japchae and duck hot pot with noodles or duck congee. You may need to order some extra rice for $2/bowl, but you're pretty much set for the whole meal. The dishes were hit or miss... I personally found the star of the menu, the Peking duck, a bit too dry. But the kalbi, seafood pancake, and japchae were all solid. The squid was okay, but the lemon chicken was a bit bland. However, for less than $30 pp after tax and tip, it was such a steal. It was a LOT of food, and even all the big eaters at the table were full by the end. Literally everyone at the table kept on gushing about how great the value was for the meal. I will be back!!

A hidden gem at Aberdeen Shopping Mall. Excellent and profesional service offered by Mr. Quan . The culinary is so delicious and generous portions and very affordable . The menu has a great variety and a place with cozy ambience . It was our first time there , but not the last . We asked for chicken wings and duck noodle soup and chicken noodle soup, all three very yummy and well presented . We will love to go back pretty soon !!

First time here for dinner. Located on the 3rd floor of Aberdeen center and right beside Fortune terrace. Food is decent. Peking duck, Korean pancake and S&s chicken are my favorites. The japchae was also good. I couldn't take picture of it unfortunately. Overall, food is delicious!

The last time I was here was 4-5 year and had always wanted to come back. When my parents were looking for something a bit different for dinner, I thought this would be a great place. I called to make a reservation, but there really was no need for Wednesday night. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, they were only 2 other tables. The restaurant looked rather deserted, chairs and tables pushed to one side, and one wait staff for the entire restaurant. Service was a bit hard to flag down. We got their famous Peking duck special for 2 people, currently on discount for $43.99. It was strange seeing Peking duck at a Korean restaurant, but someone told me that it's because the Korean chef lived in China for a long time and was inspired to make a similar dish. Our combo included one Peking duck, 20 wraps, 4 side dishes, and duck noodle with soup. The Peking duck has a large amount of meat attached to the skin which we really liked, but lacked flavour. The wraps were smaller than we were used to, we're more familiar with the HK version, which was actually really great because it perfectly fit one piece of duck, some hoisin sauce, cucumber slices, and green onion. I always found that the HK version of crispy duck skin wraps to have a large wrap to duck ratio. The side dishes were kimchi, potatoes, bean sprouts, and pickled radishes. They were pretty standard and we were allowed to get refills. The duck noodles had a good amount of duck and the noodles were the Chinese cut noodles type. I felt that the noodles were too soft and were perhaps cooking in the soup for too long. My parents wanted a bit more variety, so we added a stone bibimbop. It was a bit smaller than we expected, but it was still decent. We were so full and had to bring half of the duck back home. Overall, we had a good experience and the value is definitely there. I hope they're able to survive the pandemic and stay in business.

We came here today for lunch and ordered a "2 people combo" for $40. The combo includes 1 noodle with pork, vegetables, and black bean sauce. 1 noodle with spicy seafood soup and choice of meat or seafood pancake We choose sweet and sour pork. Portion size is quite big and the food is tasty. The noodle is cooked to al dente with nice chew. Great place to fix the craving for Korean food.

I used to come here for office lunch when I was working close to Aberdeen Centre, since my retirement, I had not been back as often as before. Happy to see that the restaurant is still run by the same Korean family, with the Chef famous for his Peking Duck!! Since we came during lunch time after doing some shopping at the mall, we ordered from the lunch special menu. Gamjatang - Pork Bone Soup: Slightly spicy this is one of my favourite soup when I am in a Korean Restaurant, the soup is very hearty and also full of vegetables and potatoes, here the Chef also add bean sprouts which is a nice touch! Bones are not overly cooked so that the meat still retains its texture and flavour!! And for $10.99, it is not only a great meal in itself, but great value as well! Seolleongtang - Ox Bone Soup: This is semi-clear beef bone broth with chunks of beef brisket, also some potato starch noodles, topped with green onion and black pepper, it is a quintessential comfort food! I am sure for Koreans it part of their soul food item!! Again this is also $10.99! Our meals come with the customary Banchan also of good quality and flavour! Service is fast and friendly as they well know that lunch hour service has to be efficient to accommodate the customers limited time for lunch. I hope to try their Peking Duck one day as there are only 2 of us in our family, will have to gather some friends so we can try it together!

I was trying to decide 3 or 4 stars for this place. I would give 4 stars for the lunch combo because the price is decent. However, based on the food and service this place was average - I am not sure because it is COVID the quality and service has gone down as they seem short-staffed. The Ox Bone Soup taste exactly the same as the Short Ribs soup (my friend got the Short ribs soup). I would recommend you get the the Short Ribs soup as it has way more stuff like veggies in. The food did taste good but nothing stood out. The side dishes are unlimited but they do not refill for you quickly. I would only recommend going during lunch hour as the price is good for what you get!

I was extremely disappointed by the bbq here. The cut of beef they used wasn't tender and the flavours didn't taste good. I love cumin and other spices on lamb but it just didn't work here. Egg and corn cheese on the side seemed nice but they burn if not eaten quickly so you can't enjoy it throughout the meal. Seafood pancake was mediocre. It was quite doughy and thick. It didn't have the nice crispy outside layer. Air flow also wasn't great. I don't think they turned on the vents for our table. Towards the end the smoke kept getting into our faces.

    BBQ Duck is it!

Interesting Peking Duck. Thick cut meat and skin. Bottom pile mostly dark meat and boney parts. They then separate the two legs for those who like to work on them. Second course you can choose between Korean style congee or soup with hand cut thick noodles, a common site in China. Many asks why is a Korean restaurant serving such a signature Chinese item, which in fact is its signature dish. The answer, apparently, is that the owner is a Korean who grew up in China. That's why some other dishes also have a Chinese touch. Surprisingly, the duck with the noodles and one appetizer were enough to fill up 5 of us. Good job! We need to return to try the pizza, tofu soup, and BBQ.

Decent Korean place on the top floor of Aberdeen. Parking is available in their mess of a lot. The place is pretty new, so the interior is nice and modern. Staff were friendly but not too helpful. They seemed a bit understaffed when we were there. My group was in one of the private rooms. Looks like it doubles as a nap room, as there were chairs arranged to make a bed. Pretty hilarious. See photo. The place is fully licensed, so we took full advantage of the beers and soju available. Personally I'm not too sure about the authenticity of the dishes, but they sure were tasty. Appetizers - 4 types available. Dumplings - excellent. Tried both the steamed and pan fried ones. They were so fresh I burned my mouth several times. Sweet and sour chicken - served piping hot like the dumpings. Nice and fluffy and crisp. Korean seafood pancake - delicious. Nice large pieces. Not mushy at all. Tastes like the other Korean places out there. No complaints. Deep fried chicken - exact same batter as the sweet and sour chicken, except without the sauce or vegetables. The food is a wee bit pricey like most other Korean places in town, but the quality is there. I would come back to eat more of those dumplings. They're like crack. Recommended.

    Galbitang
    Tiff K.

It's a Chinese/Korean fusion-esque place. I ordered the galbitang and was only fairly satisfied. It's obvious that there's Chinese influence with the amount of Napa cabbage and Chinese mushroom in the soup. The short ribs were not tender and some were quite tough. Don't expect your typical Korean genuine galbitang. Most of the flavor in the soup really came from the cabbage.

    Peking duck combo for two

This is my second time eating the duck combo. The first time was when the restaurant was still at its old location. I somehow think the first time tasted much better. The duck combo for two came with a full duck, wraps and cucumber. Overall it was quite good; however, I thought the duck was cut a bit too thick and the skin wasn't crispy enough. The noodle soup that came with it was quite big but the taste was mediocre. We also ordered the seafood pancake which I found to be too doughy. We had 3 people consuming the above and had leftover meat to take home.

Ordered some Korean BBQ to go which is obviously a tough order as much of the dish is about the experience and the freshness when eating it freshly barbequed in the restaurant but it was still very tasty. Bibimbap was quite good - lots of veggies. Ratio between rice and other stuff was *thumbs up*.

Reasonable amount of pork with a few potatoes, jalapeños and green onions. Broth was light and lacked depth. - Galbi beef short-rib hot plate ($29.99) - came with a salad. Short ribs were tender and juicy. - Bulgogi stir fried udon ($16.99) - the udon didn't have much texture, sauce wasn't satisfying. I love the crunchiness but then again taste is not quite there. *Deep Fried Mini Crab: interesting dish that's typical of salt and pepper fried dishes in Chinese restaurants. *Pork Bone Hot Pot: I love the straw and shimeji mushrooms added to it. The pork bone is very tender but there's a spice lacking. *Kimchi: tastes sweet without much of the spicy goodness of real kimchi. I like the wide table size that accommodates all the dishes and the side dishes. Servers were attentive.

For this visit, we had; Spicy grilled chicken- this came hot and sizzling, so saucy, crispy and cheesy, I enjoyed every bite of it, as it was crunchy, flavoursome, and the cheese completes the taste. Grilled Boneless beef- the beef is so tender, and it has a strong flavour perfect with the rice Seafood Pancake- full of different seafood and so crispy on top, the dip goes well with it. Bibimbap- it was delicious like the other bibimbap. I tasted the combination of the ingredients were perfect So far, all the dishes were satisfying, and they were all served hot, which is so perfect for the cold weather. The side dishes can be refilled if you ask, and the price is just right. I Highly recommend checking this place, and I will surely come back to try their other dishes.

Not many people for lunch on a weekday. Menu is not big. When we went, lots of items were crossed off the menu, probably due to pandemic limitations. Has a number of soups and some classic Korean dishes and fried chicken on the menu. Their signature dish is galbijjim which is braised beef short ribs. Beef King's twist is that they add cheese on top and they will melt the cheese with a hand torch in front of your table. Got a medium portion. Portion is big enough for two, and the contents were tasty. The sauce has a little tomato-ish flavor, and the beef along with pieces of potato and daikon have soaked up the flavor. The melted cheese is mild but adds an extra and different texture to the dish. Also got an order of the pan fried dumplings, and those were okay. Overall the bill was $65 including tax.
