We were four of us. we started with the Italian salad and the calamari oreganato, they were both delicious. Octavio our waiter had a drinks flowing and was very attentive. we had clams, oregano, chicken, chicken franchise, and the stuffed pork chop special. each came with a side of pasta, large enough for a main course. Overall a very good meal. read more

We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a light dinner. We didn't realize Tuesday nights is chicken night. We had the chicken Lombardi which delicious and parmigiana. The bread is absolutely amazing. They have large variety of chicken dinners which come with salad or pasta, the entree meal and dessert, either a cannoli or Napoleon. We had the Napoleon which was thin pastry puff with fresh whipped cream. Oh yum read more

Solo visit while traveling for work. Grabbed a seat at the bar 4/23/26. Amazing atmosphere, service, and food. Highly recommended, 5 Bartender was a gentleman who I think had 10 years experience with the restaurant. He was very knowledgeable & customer service focused. He mentioned the place has been in business over 50 years! Enjoyed a nice old fashioned with bread service, both delicious. Based on the bartenders recommendation I went with the salmon over risotto. It was cooked perfectly and ohhh so good! Also enjoyed a glass of Malbec that was restaurants recommendation. Fantastic dinner, see you next time I'm in town! read more

The non-Italian music was a bit too loud for my liking, but other than that, it was a pleasant dinner. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable (for NY, anyway). I'm not sure if it's because we came in for an early dinner, but he food was prepared relatively fast. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan - which, for some reason, wasn't listed on the menu (so I'm glad I asked our waiter for a recommendation). The other dinners for my dinnermates were enjoyed as well. The staff was very attentive and the waiter was friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and had soft lighting, which made it relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. read more

Our server William was fantastic. The food , service, and ambiance did not disappoint!

the food was absolutely amazing. hot, delicious, and well seasoned. service was great as well, our server kept checking on us and reassuring food was coming. it did take a very long time for food and drinks to come though. we were there for three and a half hours total. the restaurant was very busy, but just wasn't expecting that. would return though! read more

Always consistent food. The portions are ginormous and you'll have leftovers for days. Recently went in with family and sat in the pizzeria section and ordered off the menu. They call you up to the counter when your food is ready. I only got a chance to take one singular pic because our party has voracious Appetites! Go if you're in the area. read more

I was skeptical about going. Yelp only gave a 3.1 star rating. I don't know why I went but I was more than glad I did Had to wait 20 mins for a table. Went to bar and had drink and before we were finished table was ready. The place was packed We order artichokes oregano, omg, to die for. Next was Cesar salad. It was a little cheesy but fresh and delicious. Now the entry. It was Good Friday so we order 2 fish specials. Halibut and cod. Both were outstanding Desert was pistachio tortufo. It was ok and a pretty good portion The waiter , William, was very personable and made sure our wine glasses were full at all times All in all this was one of the best meals I had in quite a while Thank you Mammas read more

Mamma's is many things, kick ass pizza place, red sauce master class restaurant etc... But the rice ball from Mamma Lombardis remains a singular guilty pleasure, that all Long Islanders should experience. Real risotto flavor, melted gooey inside, cooked to perfection, and that classic Mammas red sauce to dip with. read more

The Brooklyn pizza may be the best pizza I ever had - - and I'm Italian. Delicious!

Place has always been ahead of the curve on ripping you off; they don't even give a damn when they screw you over and it's been that attitude for 30 years. They used to have a few decent things but it's really gone down hill overall. I don't even want to waste more literary breath on a review but my recent visit before catching a train back to the city triodes less than thrilling results; the calamari was good (fra diavlo sauce wasn't as amazing as I remember) the rest was mediocre at best; the penne a la vodka was dry and tasted almost sour a day later out of the fridge so I threw it all away and the chicken Scarpariello is NOT Scarpariello, I asked them to add hot peppers and potatoes to make it somewhat closer to a good Scarpariello and they charged me 9-$12 for it and put it in a dish on the side... it was pretty bad. $100 of disappointment. read more

What a restaurant and what a waiter! Octavio is the best! He knew what we needed every step of the way, even made recommendations and cleaned up after every course. He is a truly professional waiter and we were so happy to find out that he's the Head Waiter--he really deserves the title! Next time we go to Mama Lombardi's, we'll ask to be seated where Octavio can take care of us. The food, too, was spectacular. Can't wait for our next visit! read more

Here for a lax tournament and after booking on open table, I almost canceled due to yelp reviews. What gives? Service was relaxed, not slow even though the restaurant was slammed. The portions were huge. I read something about them being smaller now. If this is smaller now....Quality was great. Got penne vodka, the Parmesan, olive and prosciutto app, got the lobster chilled app, my son got the Alfredo with grilled chicken, two nice desserts - cannoli was great. These yelp reviews are not accurate. Go and enjoy, split your entree otherwise you may split your pants like the gentleman leaving next to us. read more

I have no idea why the ratings for this place is so low but this place is amazing with great food. My company always takes us here when we visit town. Everyone at the Bohemia office always says this is one of the best places to eat in Long Island. Coming from California, I would say, this place has great Italian food. Ordered the Veal parmigiana and man, it was amazing. The fried calamari and clam casino were very very good. I would more than happy to keep eating this place everything I visit along Island for work. read more

A+ all around. Authentic Italian. A little close quarters inside music a bit loud but service great as well as food.

My compliments to the chef! Tonight I had two orders of the oysters fra diavola, peconic oysters lightly breaded with Calabrian chilis! I thought I died and went to heaven! I don't want to bore you with all the delicious apps and entrees my wife and I had. If you're an oyster lover do not miss this. It is always a pleasure dining here. read more

Just a quick note recognizing a young man working the pizza area. Very rare to encounter today's younger generation to be so respectful and professional. Actually brought us out to go order where we were waiting, called me sir and asked if we needed anything else. Then, with great sincerity, said that he hopes we have a great day. We didn't get his name but my wife thought a coworker called him with John or Joe. Thank you for redeeming our faith in today's young people. Not to mention the always excellent food. read more

This really is a 3.5* for me. Pizza: takeout. When there are options, this is great! The slices were still warm when we got to our destination (15 mins away). Entrees: we dined in. Service was great! Our server Jasson, gave us his recommendation when we couldn't decide between 2 options and checked in on us. The other folks made sure our water glasses were constantly filled. Wait: We didn't make reservations on a Friday so it was a 30 minutes wait which was fine since it gave us time to look at the menu. Once we were seated, we were asked if we wanted to order any drinks which we didn't and asked for water. Complimentary bread platter with butter was provided immediately. Appetizers: Mozzarella Sticks (6): it was cheesy! Stuffed Artichokes: the stuffing was tasty though the artichokes were overcooked. Entrees: Chicken Bruschetta: chicken was cooked though it lacked seasoning. The bruschetta made the dish. Chicken and Sausage: the peppers were salty, the sausage, mushrooms, onions and potato were great. Chicken was cooked, again it lacked seasoning. This dish is good for 2 meals -- at least for me. Dessert: Pistachio Tartufo: was good. Orange Olive Cake: was dense and had a good orange flavor. My friend was hoping for more olive flavor. read more

Pretty good Italian food.. Came here with my mom for dinner. We started with some bread and butter. Overall nothing special. Some garlic bread and regular bread with butter. Would have been better with some dipping sauce in my opinion. For an appetizer we got cold anti pasto. It came with salami, provolone, sopressata, capicolla, sausage, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, olives, roasted peppers. After putting in the order our waiter came back about 10 mins later asking if we wanted cold or hot. We didn't even see an option for "hot" on the menu so we went with cold. It still took a while to come out, but it was tasty. With entrees you are able to pick between salad or pasta. Our waiter didn't even ask me what I wanted after placing my order, so I had to tell him. I went with a salad and my mom went with pasta. Salad was very, very basic. Nothing special at all. My mom said the same about her pasta. It was also watery. For my entree I got shrimp fra divalo. It came with 2 mussels and 2 clams and 6 shrimp. Flavor was great and spice level was perfect. My mom ordered chicken francese. She said it was good, but very light on the lemon. She also said the chicken was soft and she didn't need a knife to cut it. Service was just okay. We weren't rushed, but our waiter never really came back to see if everything was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but if friends or family invited me to join them for dinner here I wouldn't turn them down. read more

I've recently seen some bad reviews, but i was there last night and it couldn't have been better. The food and service were excellent. I feel like someone has an ax to grind against this business. Dined at Mamma Lombardi's this past weekend. It's a restaurant that we don't go to often but when we do go, we know the food is going to be great. We arrived for our 5:30pm reservation and was promptly seated. As our appetizer, we ordered fried calamari. It was hot and delicious, but I prefer when it's breaded. My penne a la vodka entree was cooked to perfectly. The portion size was large and made for great leftovers the next day. I ordered chocolate layer cake for dessert and believe it could have been fresher. Nevertheless, if you're craving traditional Italian food with a cozy atmosphere, Mamma Lombardi's is the place for you! read more

Mamma Lombardi's has been a Long Island institution of delicious Italian food and pizza since 1976. It has been in my life since 1992. When I lived in Holbrook from 1992 to 2000, there were quite a few times that I dined here. After an eighteen year hiatus my family and I had dinner in this Long Island institution.    This is a popular spot for both Italian food and pizza & heroes. In 2002, "Newsday" voted Mamma Lombardi's "The Best Italian Food on Long Island." It has grown from a smaller restaurant at this location to a thriving business that includes a catering hall in Patchogue, a gourmet up Main Street Holbrook, and a product line of sauces. A side effect of its popularity is that it doesn't have a friendly local mom and pop pizzaria feel.    Mamma Lombardi's reminds me of a spacious Mediterranean villa at the southeast corner of Main Street at Furrows Road in the heart of the Holbrook Business District. This Mediterranean villa overlooks a sea of parking spaces spreading east towards County Route 19. Parking has never been an issue. Inside is a spacious restaurant that features patio seating and two indoor dining areas. There is a large brightly lit dining room for pizza, heros, and comfort food, and a dimly lit elegant dining room for full service Italian food. Both rooms are spacious and carry a Mediterranean vibe.    After an eighteen year hiatus, my family and I returned here. It was enjoyable to be reunited with genuine New York pizza made with the New York water that supposedly creates the remarkable dough. At Mama Lombardi's there is a glass case showing the variety of pizza. I ordered a Sicilian slice (a square shape) with mushrooms then one with sausages. These two slices reminded me of why I love New York pizza. In the past when I lived nearby, I remember ordering savory eggplant parmesan subs here.   Just as I would with several Long Island pizzarias and Italian restaurants, I give Mamma Lombardi's four stars. The next time that I return to Long Island, I would like to return to this Long Island institution of delicious Italian food and pizza that has been in business since 1976. read more

Well it has been years and years since I've been to Mamma Lombardi's as I no longer live in the area, but was able to return recently where we had a wonderful family reunion dinner. I'm glad we gave it a try, as it brought back fond memories. We were a big group of 7, and service was a bit slow to get started, and it did take a bit of time for our appetizers to arrive, but once they did, everything came out of the kitchen on time, piping hot, and delicious. We tried a number of appetizers from this very large menu, including a few items from the special menu. Stuffed fried zucchini blossoms were very nice, but the superstar appetizer was the baked stuffed artichoke, absolutely delicious. We recall the pasta plates being huge and so we did some sharing. I had the Penne a la Vodka with bolognese sauce, and it was delicious. Two people shared it the night of dinner, and we brought the rest home and split it again. Four meals from one plate. Everybody was happy with their pasta, from the tortelini and carbonara to the bowties with crab meat. Desserts were also nice, and you may have guessed it, quite large! I'm glad we had an opportunity to return, and I think the experience was as good as I recall. Hopefully I'll have a chance to return on another trip to LI read more

We recently returned after a long time, expecting the quality to have declined after Covid. The prices were maybe 10 percent higher ,but there was no decline in quality and the portions are still quite large. We enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the hot antipast which was a large platter for the price (around $23). Still my favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island. read more
