    Regular fried chicken plate
    Jojo A.

The blue food truck is on the corner of Lauko Street & Akoki Street. They are open 6:00 am until 1:30 pm. Street parking available. I ordered the regular fried chicken plate. It came with 2 big pieces of chicken, two scoop of rice topped with furikake & a scoop of Mac salad. The plate was heavy and the food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and also gave me a stamp card. Service was fast. They have a lot of affordable plates for breakfast & lunch to choose from with a choice of mini or regular. They also have spam musubi, Manapua & pork hash. They only take card, no cash. Definitely coming back to try other things on the menu like the adobo fried rice & loco moco.

The combination plates are grand -- you get a little bit of everything, and every bite hits the spot. The miso butterfish is unbelievably tender, the shrimp tempura is perfectly crisp, the teriyaki chicken is flavorful, and the salmon is cooked just right. Even the miso soup (yes, hot miso soup, not "miso hot" like I almost said!) is comforting and delicious. It's authentic Japanese comfort food done right, and you can taste the care in every dish. I absolutely love this place and always leave happy and full. A fantastic stop during any shopping trip. Marie

It was nice to try something different from our usual spots, such as Shabuya or Hawaii Pot. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections: hot pot side and k-bbq side. The interior is clean and spacious with plenty of seating. We arrived just before 5pm and seated immediately; afterwards the restaurant quickly began to fill up for the dinner rush. The AYCE food selection is comparable to Shabuya. They have a buffet bar with a good selection of fresh vegetables, seafood, noodles and sauces. The AYCE menu does not include appetizers, but they are available for extra charge. One thing that stood out was their flavorful broth selection. My husband ordered shabuzen flavored oil (onion oil) in his broth and I snuck a taste, it was delicious. You can also get sake in your broth for an additional $3. Might have to order that next time.

I…read moreremember absolutely nothing about the food and remember it being a tight space for the size of the party. They somehow made it work and even had a small space for a dance floor. On my last visit, there was a lunch party going on and the space they were in was a bit odd. They had several long tables set up in what is normally the lobby/waiting area, right next to the restrooms. There was also another party going on the smaller party room behind the reception desk. I guess they just know how to make things work and try to configure seating the best they can! My latest two visits were pretty memorable with regards to the food. Both times were with tables for over 10 people and I must say, I'm surprised that both times, I was pleasantly surprised at the speed we received our food. I ordered the Bi Bim Bap and a plantation iced tea on my first recent visit, and Chirashi set with a Moscow mule on my second recent visit. The Bi Bim Bap was pretty good, and the plantation iced tea wasn't overly sweet like many can be because of the pineapple juice. The real winner was the Chirashi set. It had a lot going on and contained ingredients I don't usually get with other Chirashi bowls. It had unagi for one, and another surprise was a tiny portion of uni. We splurged on dessert on my latest visit with Brown Butter Cake, Creme Brulé, and Chocolate Molten Cake. Both came with a side scoop of vanilla ice cream. All were very good and little on the pricey side. The Brown Butter Cake and Chocolate Molten Cake were $17 each. Were they worth $17 each? I guess considering it's not every day I buy a $17 dessert, sure, it was worth it. My favorite of the three? The Brown Butter Cake! I'm looking forward to dining at Waikele Country Club Restaurant again and recommend it if you're looking for a local meal that's a little more upscale than the norm.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and the whole place was spotless. Can't wait to come back and try the noodles! Marie

It's one of those late‑night spots that always hits, especially when you want something quick, comforting, and flavorful. They only accept cash, so it's good to come prepared. The tofu, in particular, almost tastes like egg, and it's been a favorite of mine since my elementary school days. The food here has that nostalgic, home‑style quality that keeps me coming back. Overall, despite the tiny parking lot and cash‑only setup, this place remains a cheap, reliable, and delicious late‑night staple.

The staff was friendly and moved quickly, which made the whole experience smooth. The bentos themselves were impressive: large portions, very affordable, and super satisfying. I forgot to snap a photo because I dove right in, but the chicken was especially good--flavorful, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. Definitely a great go-to for early-morning meals when you need something quick, hearty, and tasty.
