Came for lunch in a weekend and I would say we waited pretty long for the food. We ordered the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, spicy seafood noddles and the spicy chicken. The beef noodles were great and loaded with beef! The seafood noodles were good too, the soup was spicy and had a great smoky flavor. The chicken was flavorful and not too spicy. Overall, enjoyed the food here but wish the service was friendlier. Definitely don't expect the best service since this is a food court but the cashier seemed very reluctant to give us bowls to share the food. There were three of us and she only gave us one bowl and we asked for two more, but she stated "I already gave you one." Anyways, will probably opt for takeout next time instead.

Mama's Kitchen is in the food court in Super H Mart. I was hungry while shopping at the Super H Mart, so I decided to stop to eat in the food court before I started serious grocery shopping. There are other vendors in the same food court, but Mama's Kitchen menu caught my eye. Plus the friendly employee made eye contact with me and extended a warm greeting. Plus the odors of the food cooking in the kitchen were definitely the hook! The employee was so nice and patient with me, answering the questions that I had about the different items on the menu. The same employee was also quick and efficient, and was able to simultaneously answer my questions, call out the orders to be picked up by other customers, and get other take out orders packaged up. I ordered the beef stew noodle soup at the counter and sat at a nearby table. My bowl was ready within 10 minutes, and the friendly employee called me over to pick up the tray with my soup. The soup gave off a great aroma. There were nice tender chunks of beef in the soup, which had bok choy, green onions and thick noodles that had a great chew. The broth had a strong beef flavor. Although it didn't look like it, the soup portion was quite large, and I was absolutely full, and I didn't have room to drink all of the liquid. Overall, I loved this soup and would definitely order it again. This was my first visit to this part of Duluth, and I look forward to trying other menu items at Mama's Kitchen.

What a surprise! It was windy outside and my son decided he wanted Sushi! We enter H-Mart and bam!! Options!!! Mama's kitchen won out because my son wanted dumplings! I took the beef stew noodle soup, which is such a treat! The broth added flavor to noodles, the beef was cooked to soft perfection. Fir $24, we has a meal we would not get in any restaurant in Johns Creek.

Kinda wished they had a restaurant location! This is located in Hmart. The lady who took care of our order was quite lovely. We ordered two beef noodle soups and a braised pork belly over rice. The beef noodle soups were about $10 and have loads of beef in them. We could have shared probably one soup is probably more than enough for one person. If you're splitting two and are moderately hungry probably a noodle soup and appetizer or side. The soup base was good and different, Taiwanese style. The noodles had a nice substantial chewy texture. It's probably one of the best noodles I've had in the Atlanta area. The pork belly over rice was so rich in flavor and filling alone even if I hadn't shared the soups and I believe it was like 5 or 6 dollars so very cheap. Definitely will be back to try other items.

Mama makes you feel loved at her Kitchen Location: Quaint stall in the H-Mart near Johns Creek Food: Braised Beef Noodle soup so hearty and filling with fresh green bok choy. Fireworks for your taste buds. The Salt and spicy fried chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Great to wash it down with a can of Apple Cidre. The pork and steamed rice with salted egg reminds me of the best comfort food during these times. The sauce was yummy and the rice nicely soaks it up for the next bite. Mama's prices are very reasonable and great value. Service: Mama made sure we had enough plates for our little ones. Appreciate her tender care she puts into her food and her customers like we were her kids.

Decided to try the Singapore Stir fry & the General tso. The General Tso was just okay, the Singapore stir fry wasn't my fave. However the service was good & my food was packaged nicely.

Sweet and Sour Pork, Rice and Sauce

OK, Cheat Day, AGAIN...LOL Now, I have been searching high and low for some good, sweet and sour pork. My favourite place is in Chinatown (Honolulu, HI) and looking at round-trip airfares, plus tip, something local was going to have to do... So, I jumped onto Yelp and I found "Mama's Kitchen!" Well, I don't know who Mama is but she SHO CAN COOK!!!! They are the next to the last food stall inside the Super H Mart in Duluth. There are several other restaurants on the row but today Mama got my business. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and it was really good! It took about 20 minutes to get my dish but considering that it was cooked to order and FRESH, that was completely fine. You get A LOT of food, enough for two people and under $14.00. Plenty to share, if you're the sharing kind that is. It comes in parts; the fried pork with vegetables, the sauce, white rice and what appear to be cucumbers but more like pickles. You can put it together on your own. All very good. The next time, I think that I will try her ribs. On ANOTHER cheat Day of course...LOL

For $13.95, the Fried Chicken Over Noodle is a good delicacy for your dollar. Goes pretty far here and the overall service regarding the handling, the ambiance (despite the noisy setting in a supermarket), and the food is a good mix if you get washed out by the crispness and saltiness of the sliced chicken easily like me. The soup serves as a complement to the chicken as salty and fried foods warrant the need to drink, which the soup, along with the contents such as noodles, bok choy, and the eggs and onion slices make it an ideal meal for a lunch combo. There was a lot for lunch, and the service members even offered to help with wrapping up and boxing the soup/chicken remains to take home. For that price, I would say your dollar goes pretty far here!

MR says....you will have something to eat here no matter how picky you are MRS says... we just love this food stall inside Super HMart. Whenever we shop at HMart, our first stop would always be at Mama's Kitchen. We get a variety of dishes and attempt to try new dish on their menu. Here's our favorite: - Taiwanese Basil Chicken (salt & pepper popcorn chicken) - Egg Drop Soup - String beans - Three Cup Chicken - Fish Fillet with Black Bean Sauce - Fish Fillet with Crab Meat - Fried Rice A little trivia about Mama's Kitchen. They are operated and run by 3 strong women who happened to be sisters. Yes, empowering women here. They are nice, friendly, and just hard working women. If you happened to be at Super HMart, go check out Mama's Kitchen. Say hello to Miss Feng from us!

Chinese food is based on the region the dish originated in China and not some nod to some general who never even had chicken... Ping's Place is the second stall when you walk in on the left. There isn't anything really much in terms of service. You walk up, locate the meal you want, drop you money, and they'll call you when your order is ready and you go and grab it. It's cafeteria style much like any food court. The ambiance isn't really anything to write home about either. it's a food court or more or less, a food strip with five different food stalls tucked on the left side of The Great Wall supermarket. So let's talk food. I've been hunting for a good Chinese beef noodle soup. Needless to say, Ping's isn't that bad. The soup itself was a bit bland but there was a richness to it that I found delightful. The noodles were al dente. The meat, tender as tender can be. It did have an odd irony smell to it but I did put white pepper, chili oil, and Chinese black vinegar into it so that might be something that gave it that weird iron smell but more or less, it was decent. Probably not the best beef noodle soup but better than some of the other joints I've had that claimed to carry Chinese beef noodle soup. I do recommend you check it out if you're already with sitting in the middle of a bustling Chinese supermarket.

I usually pop in pretty late in the evening before they close since the bakery is a little further from my home. Most of the goodies have dwindled down by the end of the night. My favorites are the buns - the custard, black sesame, hot dog and Chanel polo meat floss buns. Their sandos remind me of Family Mart sandwiches in Taiwan. And the bento boxes are massive - definitely recommend the fried pork chop bento box! The combo comes with a drink, as well. I'm still on the hunt for an egg salad sandwich rivaling Lawson's or 7-11 but the one here has good bread! I tried an orange cream sandwich too and the cream left a film on my tongue so not my favorite but it's a nice, light dessert They have a ton of different options though so something for everyone. This is a review for their other location which we couldn't find a Yelp for…read more Really nice space for a cozy ambiance yet still felt elevated with the wine glasses of water. It wasn't busy for a Sunday lunch but it's in a very tucked away location on Lakefield Drive. We ordered the beef noodle soup, gravy noodles, potstickers, XLB, and egg tarts. While presentation was great everything fell short except for the XLB and egg tarts. I do like that there is an option for a small portion of noodles - great if you want room to try other dishes. Noodles themselves were nice and chewy but the flavor and thickness of the broths felt like I was eating ramen instead of Chinese or Taiwanese noodle soups. Meats were tender. The gravy noodles had fish, pork, and duck in it and had too many mixes of flavors for us. The potstickers were large but too oily and didn't have much flavor inside. XLB were standard - I thought they were fine but could have used some more soup. Egg tarts were also flaky and good as expected. The waitress said be careful as they were hot from the oven but I couldn't wait since I love dessert. It was cold in the center lol. Otherwise flavor was great. Def have mixed feelings about this spot. Try it for yourself and see what you think.
